We stayed in the presidential suite and really had a wonderful time. The service was excellent all around and three people, in particular, deserve special mention.

First, Jiyeon Choi (front office) was exceptionally courteous and attentive, both before checking in and after. She helped me resolve a series of personal issues that really made our stay much more special. She was an excellent communicator and extremely effective in meeting our needs. She remembered me each time she saw me and really put in the effort to be accommodating and understanding. Everything she did was highly satisfactory and I really appreciated her time and attention.

Second, Kelly Jeon (food & beverage manager) was also extremely kind and attentive. We had a special dinner engagement booked in the Living Room and she was very quick to respond to our requests in a manner than was timely, courteous, and kind. She really made our experience much more enjoyable and we were really grateful for her effort.

Third, Jeong-a Kim (Lumi spa & fitness) was also very kind and understanding in responding to a compliant that I had. She was patient, professional, courteous, and understanding and really worked hard to accommodate our needs. I don’t often complain about things in an official capacity but her demeanor was extremely responsive: again, something I appreciated.

Although the service was outstanding overall, I do want to complain about two things. First is the new rule regarding access to the showers and lockers by the fitness room (the sauna). I have been to this property many times over the last decade, even booking many of my clients there. As far back as I can remember, access to the showers and lockers was complimentary when booking a suite. I am not sure when exactly the change took place, but I was told this time that access is now pay-per-use. As a customer, I feel this is a meaningful loss of value. Expecting those who have paid a premium price to towel up after a swim and take the elevators all the way back to their rooms dripping wet and cold when there are showers just a door away feels disrespectful, undignified, and petty on the part of management. Shouldn’t those who are paying premium prices for a higher quality experience at least be able to use the showers?

Second were the lifeguards by the pool. As far as I can tell, the desired atmosphere in the pool is one of relaxation and calm. Even the background music played there is meant to be soothing, no? Unfortunately, during my visit, any semblance of serenity was shattered by the pair of lifeguards who were on duty. The two talked incessantly, in loud voices that echoed across the walls, laughing out loud, and even cursing in Korean. I assure you I am not one of those snobs who believes service employees should be silent and unseen. I have worked as a lifeguard too and I understand the experience can be very boring at times so I am all for socializing to pass the time. Nevertheless, it felt like both gentlemen were completely oblivious to the kind of ambience the property wishes to project, making my experience significantly less enjoyable than perhaps it should have been.

After writing many hotel reviews with 5 stars, I find it inappropriate to rate this beautiful hotel with the same rating. I could easily rate it 6 stars out of five if I am allowed.

This hotel has only a few down sides, so I start from here. First of all, metro station needs 15 mins walk. It is also away from major shopping districts in Busan. Other than that, this hotel is magnificent in every aspect.

The staffs were attentive, sincere and helpful. Manager at the Dining room even remembered and greeted us with our names during breakfast.

We had a suite this visit, the room size was huge with panoramic view of the marina and the bridge. Room was nicely appointed. Bathroom was super spacious, fully marbled and fitted with deep soaking tub and separate walk in shower. There was a huge window facing the marina.

We ordered room service on the second evening and had dinner at the dining room on the third evening. I guess there was a communication problem when I ordered the room service, in which the beef rib turns out to be a burger. The staff apologized and the wrong item was quickly replaced within 30 minutes. The beef rib was tender and juicy, and the market fish was fresh and tasty, lightly charred and caramelized on the surface. The dinner at the dining room was also excellent in which it deserves a separate review on it.

Other hotel facilities were also top notch. Gym was well equipped with different machines, including a vibrating massage belt for belly! Pool and Jacuzzi were decent, changing room was clean and spacious.

Breakfast is another area that worth mentioning. The buffet table provides wide range of korean and western items. A la carte waffle is on par with what I had in Brussels, if not better!

In summary, this is a beautiful hotel, service was near flawless. My wife and I had a great vacation in Busan where we visited for the first time. I believe Park Hyatt Busan deserves an extra star on top of five for the quality of service they provided.

Dear Michaelcoth, Warm greetings from Park Hyatt Busan and thank you for sharing your feedback with us in such depth and detail! I am thrilled to learn that you have experienced most of facilities that we have on offer and resulted in an experience worth sharing in such detail! I will be sure to share your feedback with the team at the Dining Room whom clearly deserves a recognition. It is slightly disappointing to hear that there had been an error in communication while ordering Room service to otherwise could have been a perfect experience. Please accept my sincere apologies for the initial error and am glad to learn that it had been rectified immediately and to your likings. Thank you once again for your feedback and I wish you and your family a good health and safety through this challenging times, and look forward to your return. I cannot recommend Park Hyatt Busan more enthusiastically. It was a fantastic experience in all respects. The room was spotless and very well designed, very stylish yet also functional, with high-end amenities, and an amazing view. The hotel common areas are beautiful and also comfortable. Staff were always extremely helpful, responsive, and friendly. The location of the hotel is also very good -- Busan is a large city, and wherever you choose to stay, you may have some distance to other areas of the city. From this hotel, you can easily walk to the marina area, to the main beach area, and along the waterfront, and I believe this is the most desirable part of the city to call home base. We had dinner one night at The Dining Room at the Park Hyatt, rated one of the top restaurants in Busan, and it did not disappoint. Every course was fantastic, and there were good wine pairing choices as well. The pricing at both the hotel and the restaurant were, I believe, quite fair in light of the high level of quality. As a very frequent traveler and light sleeper, I am rarely completely satisfied with hotels, and often aggravated by noises, or various imperfections or irregularities. There was nothing that wasn't perfect at Park Hyatt Busan. I hope to return soon and often. One recommendation I would make is to try to arrange a bay/ocean view room on that one side of the hotel, even if there is some extra cost, you may find that money well spent and worth it. The water, bridge and city views along that size are stunning.

Writing this review during the morning of my stay cause first my experience in korea has shown me that native Koreans love to ‘blog’ anything and everything that they do.
To get to the the point, I am dissatisfied with the fact that while celebrating my child’s birthday, we decided to stay at the park suite at the #ParkHyattBusan. Prior to arriving I mentioned that it was for a birthday occasion for my toddler and in most instances from my experience from other five star brands (four seasons, Ritz, Intercontinental and etc to name a few) they prepare something memorable and special for the occasion.
In this instance, they sent up some cookies which I still can’t grasp what relevance it has with a birthday.
I asked prior to check in and morning of if they can prepare something with a candle for my child and their response is that they don’t prepare anything with a candle.
They recommended I contact the bakery directly myself which doesn’t open till 9 am thus I am sitting here wondering what amenities from this establishment makes this five star worthy.
From my experience, five star brands exceed guest expectations and set standards in which others fall short.
# ParkHyattBusan Hospitality falls short and something so small but with meaning to represent the occasion goes a very long way in the view of the guests. I’m sure #ParkHyatt properties can review their own hospitality training to better present themselves with the group of worthy Five Star Brands in which I believe #ParkHyattBusan does not belong.
This is my review solely based on my stay and please feel free to make your own judgement if need be.

The Park Hyatt tier of hotels enjoys a vaunted reputation, but this one is not up to par. Only one out is there elevators was regularly working, which resulted in very crowded elevators stopping on nearly every floor to board even more passengers and, upon arrival in the lobby, to be greeted with a mob of people waiting to board and go to their floor. We booked a king bed suite, and we were only offered one with a queen bed with a twin bed aside it, which meant one side of the queen did not have a night stand. The lighting is so dim in the bedroom and bathroom, and the lighting panels so complicated that it is difficult to manipulate, especially in the dark as the “switches” are flush with the surface and do not light up. At breakfast, there was a 30-minute wait. The hotel dining room clearly cannot accommodate the number of guests. What if you had a business meeting to get to? One man did, and he finally sat down, set his briefcase aside, and told the server he now only had 10 minutes to eat. The concierge desk is lovely and helpful, but I would not recommend this hotel. One could select a better location right on the beach (which is nice), or closer to town where all the tourist sights are located.

This hotel has the name Park Hyatt but does not deserve it. It's always the little things that make or break it in my view. The hotel looks nice, works relatively well, room size is decent and amenities look fine, service for the most part was fine, until you hit the snags... First, its poorly located. There is nothing really around. The nearest metro station is 1Km away so if you are in town for Bexco I would not recommend this hotel at all. Furthermore, the room we received facing the beautiful bay in Busan was very warm with in-room temperature climbing daily to over 27 degrees. This "five star" hotel solution was to provide us with a fan. Yes, you heard me right, you pay for a "5 stars" but receive a 3 blade fan to cool you. And this is October we are talking about. Shameful... One other incident was the lack of creamer or milk in the room. They give you shampoo and coffee and even tea but no creamer. When asked, the duty manager said that we should order milk or sugar, if needed, from Room Service and pay for it. Yes, pay for your creamer... Is this the Park Hyatt's kind of hospitality? It was good that the duty manager sad he will take this request and "valid feedback" to the "development department for future reference". Come on, just go to the 7-11 which is next door and get a few packets of creamers, instead of opening an investigation into your scope of offered services. We felt we were talking to a robot. "Sorry this is a hotel policy". You should make it a hotel policy and aim to make your customers feel welcomed and taken care of. This is not the kind of conduct expected of a hotel like this. Being so stingy and unhelpful. What was worse was the indifference of the manager. This did appear a number of times with staff refusing to book taxis (and others having to correct them), moving you about the Lobby area (to make room for customers wanting to shop for coffee and cake, etc.) and ridiculous wait time for getting your room after checking-in, even if you arrived at 1pm and not exactly at 3pm. From my end, this hotel needs to learn from its Seoul counterpart or just get its act together. At the end of the day I would chose another hotel next time we are in Busan.

Check in was quick. My wife wanted to sit in the lobby restaurant and get a bite to eat while I was checking in, but it required a reservation in the location she wanted. The manager offered to check and get us a seat, but they were booked overlooking the bay. Oscar was able to get us a seat similar to the one at the restaurant upstairs (Dining Room). The food was overpriced for the quality. Nearing the end of the meal my wife started to become ill to her stomach. We went up to the room and it looked comfortable, and the view was amazing. Something in the food ended up keeping her in the bathroom for the rest of the evening and into the next day. I informed the front desk of the issue and they offered to call 119 or let me take a cab to a local pharmacy to purchase an unknown medication to help settle her stomach. We decided to see how the night would go. When my wife went to take a shower, she noticed the shower nozzle had black goo in the holes. When we informed the front desk, they had the engineer bring up a new shower head. They next morning we ordered room service of pancakes and eggs. The pancakes were burnt, and the eggs were undercooked (ordered over hard). Before we departed the room the next day my wife dropped her earring, and it rolled under the luggage stand. When I oved the stand to retrieve her earring, it appeared as though they have not cleaned under it ever. There was dust, cobwebs, and things that made me question if the room was really clean. I informed the front desk and manager of the issues we had during our stay, but it was apparent our comfort during our stay was not important. We were in Busan to for a quick visit to the city and see the sights. We ended up not enjoying our visit and ended driving back once my wife was able to travel. The hotel did not offer to comp the breakfast we did not eat nor did they offer to comp us for the meal that made my wife ill. I did request money back for her meal and Mrs. Ryu did provide a refund. We did not enjoy our stay. If you are someone that can't sleep because of vibrations/humming do not get room 2404. Also, recommend not staying there on a weekend because the doors are not soundproof and you will hear everyone in the hallway, to include knocking, doors closing (old doors that slam), and loud visitors that nothing is done about.

Traveling with teens can be a challenge. They need their space so you don’t get on one another’s nerves. Sometimes we get two rooms but tried the Family Suite this time. We did not splurge on the full marina views but still had great views of the marina and lots of space for our 3 person family to spread out. The facility is beautiful and shine not right in the beach, it is walkable on a very entertaining cinema themed walking route. Lots of restaurants nearby. Parking beneath. A definite winner.

This is such an excellent stay that I have decided to review the hotel after 1 night at the hotel even before checking out.

The highlight of the hotel is definitely the service level of all the staff in the hotel.

The front desk is excellent, so is the conceirge (expect your requests to be answered in a really short period of time)

Most impressive are the staff at the lobby. Never once have I seen another hotel lobby staff near sprinting to incoming vehicles/taxi to welcome guests. Well I have seen this happen not once but every single time I return to the hotel day or night. As the saying goes "first impression matters", well I am pleasantly surprised from the time we arrived at the hotel.

Would also like to thank the director of rooms for upgrading our room to the 29th floor with great views of the Marina.

Room hardware is excellent, great bathtub and perfect rainshowers. Quality toiletries that smells really good too. Room is very spacious (deluxe room) and smartly designed (2 luggage racks instead of the conventional 1 only in most hotel rooms)

Lighting and AC controls smartly designed right at bedside. Bed is quite comfortable too. (Pillows are abit on the softer side so maybe more is better)

There's probably nothing much to be improved, maybe an additional set of toiletries per day would be good as they are quite small for 2 per day and an addition of mouthwash would be perfect.

All in all a 6* stay and easily the best of the best for Busan. There's probably no need to consider another luxury hotel when choosing a hotel in Busan.

Hopefully we would be in the ocean facing rooms the next time!

14th Floor Familly suite facing the yachts in the port was a great room for a Family; we had a four year old kid and it was plenty enough room for him + rest of the family. Regarding their service they really did excellence. The view on the lobby and the breakfast floor was stunning. Lots of options for food outside of the hotel which was great.
