Our stay at The Ubud Village Resort & Spa was exceptional. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated in traditional Balinese style, with a private pool and cozy rest areas. Despite being in a quiet and safe location, it’s just a short walk to the busy city center. Waking up to birdsong every morning was a delight.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful, with a noticeable yet unobtrusive presence. They offered evening programs but always ensured a peaceful experience. The dinner menu featured an excellent mix of international and local dishes, with great quality and portions at reasonable prices. The breakfast menu, which changed slightly daily, was amazing, catering to various preferences, including local flavors. They were also mindful of food allergies. Afternoon tea, including snacks and drinks, was a lovely treat.

Though we didn’t use the gym or spa, the infinity pool and pool bar were standout features for relaxation. The resort offers great value for money, with no hidden fees. It was the most relaxing holiday we’ve had, thanks to the tranquil atmosphere and attentive yet respectful staff. Wi-Fi could be improved, but the resort made up for it with free activities, shuttle service, and unforgettable cultural experiences like the Balinese BBQ dinner.

The Ubud Village Resort & Spa is a peaceful, beautifully designed retreat offering spacious rooms, excellent service, and a mix of cultural activities and dining experiences, making it a perfect destination for a relaxing and authentic Balinese stay. Of course we left the resort to explore the wonderful island, but didn’t want to miss a single minute in this tranquil haven.

Highly recommended, and we would return without hesitation!

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon in Bali. The hotel is fabulous and our villa was amazing! We had our own private pool, outdoor bath, pond with fish, and daybed area, a huge fourposter bed, and outdoor and indoor shower. The staff were so friendly and attentive and made sure our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. The breakfast and restaurant food was excellent and the grounds of the hotel and pool are beautiful. The hotel is in an excellent location within about 30 minutes walk from the centre of Ubud but also far enough out of the centre so that it is a bit quieter. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I enjoyed a serene break at the Village Ubud Resort and Spa.

We stayed in the garden pool villa for 4 nights and felt transformed.

It truly feels as though exploring a Balinese village to find your room amidst shrines and moss covered alleyways. When you arrive you are greeted by a generous sized plunge pool, cabana, indoor and outdoor shower and bathing area surrounded by ponds where you can watch the frogs and fish from the comfort of your room. We slept well in our four poster bed, serenaded by the sounds of nature.

The resort is in an actual rice paddy, which offers stunning views and a real serene sense of being surrounded by nature as birds and butterflies fly around you and the palm trees.

Luckily for us, we arrived on the eve of the traditional Balinese dance and dinner. The dancers were incredible and such an exciting introduction to the island.

I also enjoyed morning yoga with the most warm instructor overlooking the paddies and a traditional Balinese massage for very affordable price.

Overall, this hotel is great value for money and the service was professional, friendly and attentive from start to finish. I hope I get to visit again and would recommend for anyone keen to get close to nature while being pampered.

An absolute highlight.

The Pool Garden Villa is huge with a pool, an outdoor shower, an indoor shower, a bathtub in the courtyard with a pond and fish. The four-poster bed is also very large. Outside there are two beds with a roof, sun loungers, etc. Great importance is also attached to cleanliness.

The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, the guest relations manager often asks if everything is to your satisfaction. The front office is also always extremely friendly.

The breakfast is fantastic and I have never experienced anything like it anywhere else. You order from a menu with changing dishes and these are freshly prepared and brought to your table by friendly staff.

If we come to Bali again, we will only go there.

I simply cannot fault this resort. We stayed in a Garden Villa with our own plunge pool and it was absolutely lovely to spend quiet time there. The rooms are interspersed amongst rice paddies so the grounds are simply beautiful and the evening sounds of frogs and geckos were wonderful! The main swimming pool looked and felt more like a natural river snaking through the vegetation, I would have to say this is probably the mot beautiful pool I have ever been to in 30 years of travelling. The food was exquisite, regardless of whether you were eating breakfast, lunch or dinner and the people who work there were friendly, efficient and incredibly helpful. The location was also great, close enough to go into the centre of Ubud for shops, market stalls, restaurants, the palace and of course Monkey Forest (the resort offers a shuttle bus throughout the day if you don't fancy the walk) but far enough out that you feel like you're in a quiet remote location when you're relaxing by the pool. Simply fantastic. Would definitely return here if I were going back to Bali.

We have just spent 5 nights at the Nyuh and wished we had stayed longer. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 13 and 10 and stayed in one of the 2 bedroom villas.

The bedrooms were great, identical apart from one twin and one king, very comfortable beds. All toiletries provided, 2 mosquito plugs per room and coils. The kitchen is the one area that lacked facilities - there was a kettle and tea/coffee but nothing else. The addition of a microwave and toaster plus some cutlery would be a good addition. That said, any time we asked for anything, it was no issue.

We ate in the restaurant several times and had room service, and the food was lovely, no complaints. They adapted meals for our fussy daughter with no issues. The breakfast was also good with plenty of choice. Our stay included a floating breakfast, which was a lovely experience.

The hotel provides lots of complimentary activities. I did a morning yoga class, which was very good. Unfortunately we did several trips during our stay so we didn't get a chance to do more. As we had our own pool, we didn't use the hotel pools, so we can't comment on those.

My husband and i both had massages in the spa one afternoon, and they were amazing.

The hotel is out of central Ubud, but for us, that was a big plus. It was so nice being away from the hustle & bustle. We used the shuttle bus several times and found the times worked well for us, it was very useful. We did get a taxi back one evening.

Finally the staff were the stars- they couldn't do enough and were always so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend a stay here.

This is the second time we have come to this magnificent hotel.
The villas are absolutely sublime, in a purely Balinese decor, very comfortable, very clean, you feel really good there, with a swimming pool and a small outdoor area to relax.
Breakfast is taken upstairs in the restaurant which offers an absolutely magnificent view of the hotel's superb garden and swimming pool, as well as the rice fields.
The breakfast is excellent, everything is made to order with lots of choice. Our best lunch on Bali.
The staff is extremely kind, very attentive and caring.
We love coming to this beautiful hotel.
See you next year.

Ubud village resort is like no other place, its like spending time in paradise! The villas are very spacious with a private outdoor space with places to sit and lounge under beautiful bamboo and reed structures and a pool big enough to swim in.
There is a choice of bathrooms: you can have a bath outside or a shower indoors or outdoors.
The bed is very big and comfortable with a mosquito net. Not that there are many mosquitoes inside as there are regular treatments to keep them under control.
There is a lot of staff who are all very friendly, professional, helpful and polite. A traditional peaceful Balinese atmosphere has been created.
The food in the restaurant is of a food quality and very affordable.

We came to Bali on our Honeymoon and stayed at the Ubud village resort and spa for 4 nights. From the minute we arrived the staff were amazing, they couldn’t do enough for us. They were all so polite and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed, from information about the area, place to go, things we should and shouldn’t do. Nothing was too much for them. Kama who works there arranged several trips and tours for us which were amazing, the driver was super friendly and we really enjoyed them. There was also a new member of staff Agus, he had only been at the hotel a few days but he was excellent. As were all the staff!

The food in the restaurant was lovely for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A different breakfast menu daily meant we got to try some amazing food. Restaurant was in a beautiful, relaxing setting.

The main pool area is lovely, clean and relaxing! Swim up bar to order drinks and food. The wooden decking needs attention in places but that is only a minor issue. The whole setting and grounds of the hotel are amazing!

Our villa, 115 was amazing, such a big room, everything we needed. Outdoor shower, bath tub and fish ponds while the private pool was perfect for a quick dip during the hot hours. Again some of the wooden decking needed some attention. Only slight issue was the TV wasn’t the best signal but on a holiday to Bali the TV is the last thing on my mind!

We were at the hotel during Nyepi, the religious festival where the island is completely closed and people stay at home. The hotel staff still worked meaning we could still enjoy the luxuries of the resort which we were really grateful for. Including an amazing Balinese massage in the spa which is also lovely!

Hotel location is ideal as it’s only a short walk into the centre of Ubud (maybe 20mins). The pavements are somewhat questionable so I would advise taking a torch if coming back late at night. We both felt completely safe as well even when walking back around 11:30pm ish. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops really close as well.

Perfect for us and everything we expected plus more. Couldn’t recommend this place enough to anyone coming to Bali for a relaxing stay with the option of being walking distance to Ubud.

Hope to stay here again someday!

From the very beginning we felt really "at home" in the Ubud Village & Spa. The welcome was extremely warm, the service excellent. The staff were always concerned about looking after your well-being. We had booked a stay in a pool villa with breakfast for 5 days. The room was clean, the room was cleaned twice a day. Once during breakfast and once in the afternoon. The beds were turned down again, an evening greeting left and water refilled. The breakfast was very tasty and varied. Over the 5 days there were 4 different menus from which you could order as much as you wanted. The drinks were great, traditional and local teas, coffee variations, water of course. Nothing was missing. The ladies and gentlemen of the service were even attentive and provided an extra chair for your handbag and sun hat. The hotel complex was absolutely fantastic. You lived in the middle of rice fields. There were even rice fields on the complex, which were looked after by the staff themselves. Everything was clean and chic. The large infinity pool looked really impressive. Of course, the hotel is a bit old. Parts of the path were coming loose in one corner or another, and the wooden terrace area by the main pool was pretty dilapidated. However, when we were there, in the off-season, there was some construction work going on that fixed these problems. However, the construction work did not cause any noise that was bothersome. It was just beautiful. The very quiet and relaxed complex meant that you could not hear any of the hustle and bustle of the main road. There was even an included shuttle service that took you into the city center. There you could choose between a bunch of warungs and restaurants. If I were to travel to Bali again, I would only go to this fantastic hotel in Ubud.
