DISHONEST - NOISY - Impossible to contact Rooms was not ready at check in time . Noisy building works are being carried out next door . This was not disclosed when we booked and is still not being shown on their website. Duty manager apologised and said we could have a full refund which will take two weeks - while he waited we booked another hotel and he drove us there. It is now over three weeks and I can not contact them by phone, what’s App or email . Three weeks has now passed and No refund , no messages , emails not getting through . Would not recommend under any circumstances .

I wanted a true Balinese Flower Bath experience! This was probably one of the best parts of my visit so far. When you enter the spa you are assigned your own spa attendant to help you with your bath and photos (if you want). Now I will say, if you are tall like me (5’10) then you probably want to wear a bathing suit. Lol..I hadn’t realized the water wouldn’t cover the “girls”. But the attendant took the photos in a way that I was covered. Sudoko was wonderful and I so appreciate her help today! Will be back to visit and get a massage and another flower bath! Please visit. You will not be disappointed! ❤️

Let’s start with the positives. The spa is first class, of course pricey compared to humbler spas downtown but fair to say you get what you pay for and this was excellent. The package treatment ending with citrus bath a very nice experience ( sitting in a bath full of marigolds not being our thing !). We were in a private pool villa near the spa and it was not only well located but very spacious and comfortable; housekeeping was very efficient. We took a look at the villas at the far end of the resort and these are not easy to get to if you have any limitation on mobility so in which case recommend you specify when booking. The whole staff team, from pickup driver, thru reception, and food and drink service were first class. The shuttle is reliable and swift. So why not 5 star rating from me ? This is a 5 star property, charging 5 star prices ( and depending on your dates , at the high end of that range even ). So the bar is set very high and some aspects don’t quite get there : The pool in the pool villa is fine for an invigorating dip, but way too cool and shadowed to really relax in. No way would we have contemplated having a floating breakfast in it for example. The set up in the bathroom and particularly around the bath is odd. It is a great big bath and lovely to relax in, but the end you naturally sit in to look out over the garden means you have to get out of the bath to reach the taps. The restaurant is great for breakfast but lacks atmosphere for dinner and is expensive for what you get. Of course most of the time you will eat downtown or even in the excellent restaurant 150 metres up the road, but even so… Last shuttle back from town is 9:10pm. This is too early for a relaxing dinner out. Finally, and this is maybe just one of my personal gripes, scroll through the reviews here and look at the very large percentage of them who are “virgin” contributors, i.e. one review only ever. This just rings alarm bells for me as an experienced traveller. In the end I found enough good reviews from reliable users to convince me to book, but it all smacks of a social media member of staff frantically accumulating reviews to artificially boost rankings. Please stop it !!! Anyway, in conclusion, if you find some good price deals for the Udaya then we recommend you give it a go. We might if the right slot comes up

We stayed in one of the garden suites and it was well worth it. Great access to the stunning gardens and pool. Rooms were spacious and very clean, the inroom bath was much needed when escaping the 1hour of rain per day. Great yoga classes every morning. We had a citrus bath at the Spa on the resort which was lovely. Cooking class is a must! We were taught by Chef Gina who was an excellent teacher... and the food was delicious!

We needed a place to come to heal and release all our stress. Udaya resort and spa most certainly was the place! We stayed in the pool villa room with our own private pool, it was raining most the time but the pool was still a lovely temperature to swim in. Plus we enjoyed the main pool every morning when the sun was out. We even fell asleep one night on the bed chairs outside it was so relaxing listening to the beautiful nature. The bathtub was out of the world and so was all the massages. The restaurant has a happy hour, music and amazing food. Breakfast was our favourite. What we enjoyed the most was our private driver Mardi who gave us free educating on the Balinese people and their culture, when we took us to see a few local sight seeing. We really love this resort and how much it showed us to appreciate the people and nature surrounding - will 100% be returning. We feel rejuvenated.

Maybe Balinese people are all this kind and caring. I believe they are but specifically at this hotel the crew took us here like family. Front desk, room service, restaurant , anywhere they were so kind and helpful that made me feel like at home. Besides that the hotel is so beautiful and quiet that majes problems go away. if I could give a 10 stars but the max is 5.

Uncle Budi was amazing and did magic tricks for my son!!! He had fire out of a wallet ! The hotel and staff is out of this world! It was even better than the pics it is absolutely amazing and the staff are so beautiful! The pool is in a different world and waking up each day for our own koi pool was amazing. The ground floor was perfect for kids. My son happily woke up each morning to watch the fish and see the waterfall. The spa was out of this world! Couple massage with flowers is the best! It was the best holiday ever!!!
