I think this resort was one of the nicest I have ever stayed at. First of all the location: you are in the heart of Ubud but away from noise and traffic. You don't need a taxi to get around and you can reach everything on foot in a few minutes. The breakfast is super, the staff lovely and attentive. The rooms (we stayed in two rooms because there was a small error with the booking which was brilliantly resolved) are literally overlooking the jungle. The infinity pool is amazing and there is bar service directly at the sun loungers. The SPA, tested for both Balinese massage and foot reflexology, absolutely convinced us.
In Ubud you can find accommodation at all prices: this one is in the middle and it was money well spent.

Premier room
Top tier room with separate bathroom, bathtub and separate lounging indoor area. The most spacious and most private it’s situated in an entirely different location to the Adiwana and standard rooms and away from the communal pool so it’s a lot quieter.
Adiwana room
Situated higher than ground level which includes a bath tub and slightly more spacious.
Standard room
Base level room with no bath tub and situated on the ground level so often can hear people background noise from the people in the pool, walking past etc. This wasn’t an issue for me the first time I visited however if you prefer to have something more private go with the other 2 options.
Location 📍
One of the best parts about staying here. It’s situated down a side street off the main road so cannot hear any traffic noise however a walking distance to the best local restaurants (recommend sun sun down the road).
Food 🍲
Breakfast seems to be inclusive now and is excellent. It’s at the herb library next door and there’s no cut off time. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast I have no idea why people have bad/average reviews about it.
Staff 👩🏻💻
Most importantly I would like to thank Budiawan for making my stay most enjoyable here. Thank you again for your assistance to ensure my stay was enjoyable, as promised I will stay here when I come back again and recommend to anyone visiting Ubud.
Overall I think the resort is great value for money for someone/couples wanting to treat themselves but not spend a fortune on accomodation. Resort looks like the photos online.

The hotel were very quick to respond to any requests for towels etc and allowed you to have tea by the pool or your room at no extra charge.
The only down side is that our room was down three flights of stairs with no lift, but it did mean we had a nice ground floor jungle patio and there are more accessible rooms for those who book it.
Location great - try Sun-Sun and Bali Buda for food, Ganesha book shop, and Sang spa all within 2 minutes walk.
If I come next time I will use it again. Power recommended!

There is nothing I can really fault, I had a couple of minor maintenance issues (AC leaked on night one) and no hot water in the bath (day two) but both were dealt with swiftly.
I stayed in the Adiwana and the room was large and very comfortable. Lovely big squishy mattress - which could have slept four easily. The bath was such a treat for me as I don’t have a bath at home, it was deep and the bath foam provided was a nice touch. So many hotels don’t offer this and you end up using a bottle of body wash! All the amenities were also lovely and smelt amazing!
The wifi is speedy (which was useful as I couldn’t find any English tv channels that were not the news) so I was able to watch Netflix on my laptop. It also stayed permanently connected to my phone so I didn’t miss any contact from home. Also useful as many hotels make you log in each time your connect.
Pools are lovely. Predominantly shady, so if you’re a big sun worshiper like me you may find that a pain, but Bali sun is fierce so you’re grateful of the shade. Only real downside is the lack of poolside service, if you want a drink or something to eat, despite the pool menus, you do need to go to the Herb Library to order. I’d recommend here that perhaps when the hotel is aware guests are by the pool, they send a waiter every hour to check on the guests. I would say they definitely missed out on sales here as many guests, myself included didn’t order anywhere near as much as we would have should someone have come to ask us.
The food at Herb Kitchen is really special, delicious healthy Indonesian food and was perfect for a veggie/vegan like myself, they were also able to cater to my peanut allergy.
The spa is amazing! Compared to the U.K. the prices are insanely good value. I had a two hour Open Chakra Massage and the time disappeared! Gorgeous.
Staff are all so kind and polite and highly attentive!
Final thing to say is the location is excellent! If you’re new to Ubud like myself the location, to the centre for shops, market, the palace etc is ideal! All within walking distance. I didn’t visit the temples as that’s the second part of my trip, but they are within easy reach (Not on foot).
I will come back to Ubud and I will stay here again! Lovely hotel. I highly recommend!

Firstly, after the usual warm Balinese welcome, we were "upgraded" to a suite. We were taken down 2 floors to room 302; we were slightly put off by the bridge outside of our jungle view window, but it was explained that only the staff use that, only twice a day. Still, as we did not know what time that would be, we avoided using the bath in the window! We went straight out to explore Ubud (the hotel is in an excellent location for this) and got in very late. We were immediately hit by the overpoweringly strong smell of damp and soon started feeling unwell. I called reception and asked for a change of room which they said they would try to do the next day for us. We went out early the next day and when we returned we were indeed moved to a new room, two floors up which we much preferred.
Secondly, one of the main reasons we came here was because we had read they had a vegan restaurant. As vegans this is the first thing we look at on trip advisor reviews and why this hotel got our business. So it was confusing and surprising that despite the Vegan awards on display, most of the breakfast menu was not vegan! There were in fact only a couple of options. Also some of the staff did not seem to understand what vegan is (compared to vegetarian) - which is understandable except you are working in a restaurant which claims it is vegan! The dinner menu was similar with only a relatively small amount of vegan options. The restaurant claims it is vegan but with "omnivore options" - if this was the case I would expect to see EVERY dish as vegan but then with the option of adding meat/fish/dairy etc... but this is not how the menu is laid out.
For these two reasons, we would not come back here as we have had better (and more) vegan options in restaurants which don't claim to be vegan. And whilst the second room we had was clean, not damp, and very comfortable, it was disappointing to originally be "upgraded" into a room which I now see from reading other reviews, we are not the first to complain about.
