The Puri Maharani Hotel is owned by the King and Queen of East Bali. The Royal Family lives at the hotel, it is one of many they own. We can arrange a package so you can also visit and stay in the Royal Palace in East Bali as well. Please ask us for details. Puri Maharani offers a very nice landscaped garden, The King as a hobby raised many tree's over the years and created the beautiful garden area there. There is also a pool, a restaurant, a spa, and a free shuttle to Sanur Beach that leaves every 2 hours, and picks you back up as well. The property has a lot of very nice Indonesian art, and you will feel the peace and warmth of staying in a modest, Royal Family Hotel.

I booked at the Royal Suite in this hotel as it was close to the airport, as we were arriving late and were off to Ubud the next day. It's set off the main road and about half an hour drive from the airport, a taxi from there cost us $50 Aus. The Royal Suite is the largest room in the complex, and has a lounge area in addition to the bedroom, and a fairly large balcony overlooking the pool. Room service had already ceased at 10.30pm. The room is decorated in traditional Balinese furnishings, but the towels and linens are dated and should be replaced. However, it was a good deal on the QAntas site, costing only about $58 a night, and included breakfast. The pool and gardens are good. However, there was a power outage from about 9am, so it was hot in the room, and we had a cold shower. Apart from that, it represented value for money.

We were staying in this Hotel for two nights and I’m very satisfied with staying there. I haven’t met Indonesian people that were not friendly but the Staff is definitely one of the friendliest. The receptionists helped me a lot with different issues and handled them quite confidently. The price is way below the service so I can’t complain much about the room, although the room is probably their biggest negative. It wasn’t dirty but a bit stale or musty. The sheets didn’t smell extremely good and there very few sockets and lights. Bathroom was very chalky but all these negatives aren’t extreme enough to really upset you. Pros: -Friendly and competent Staff -Average breakfast in quality, great in quantity -Beautiful area in a Classic Balinese Style Cons: -Many mosquitoes (more than usual at least for my liking, got stung 15 Times) -Chalky bathroom, muffy bedsheets -Big Bypass right in front of the hotel with no sidewalk, almost impossible to cross (You don’t notice it from the Room or hotel area)

I was just a few hours in this hotel to transit before moving to another city. The first impression was good, because the mattress was soft, the room was quite spacious and clean. The hotel building and the interior of the room seems to have been quite old but has an open concept, because there were many trees that make shade during the day. I think this hotel is suitable for couples going on honeymoon. But, the location was not on the side of the road, you must pass a small road but the vehicle can still reach the hotel. The door of my room could not be closed tightly, so that outside noise could be heard into the room. And when I want to leave the room, I can't open the door because the key house was not functioning properly so I have to ask for room service to open my room from the outside.

Arrived late and departed early, I don't have much to tell about this place. Old style hotel, they even maintained tube tv. :) Nice swimming pool and they are so thoughtful to prepare a breakfast box though we left early morning. Thanks for the service

We stayed at Asana Puri Maharani Hotel for 5 night and we had a fantastic time! The staff were all so attentive and helpful. The room was spacious and clean with a large comfy bed. There was a hot shower and air con. The surrounding grounds of the hotel are beautiful, including the pool. We enjoyed a few days relaxing by the pool and eating at the restaurant, which was good. The breakfast was every morning with 4 options. We enjoyed the American and banana pancakes, which were delicious! All options came with fresh fruit, juice, tea or coffee. The hotel is a little way from Sanur and there isn’t much around the local area. We wandered to Kertalangu Cultural Park one day, which was okay and to a coffee house one evening for dinner. It was a busy road outside which was difficult to walk along and cross. We did make the most of the complimentary daily shuttle service to Sanur Beach, to their sister hotel, where you can use their pool facilities and loungers in their private area on the beach, which was great! The shuttle ran everyday to Sanur at 9am and 4pm and returned at 9.30am and 4.30pm. It was great to use! When we did get a taxi, we used blue bird metered and it only cost £2! Overall a great stay, we would highly recommend for the price!

Rooms, are large, gardens are very welcoming, a bit hard to find at first from the highway, not the best signage but a great surprise once here. It is a bit more than 2 klm from the main Sanur but it is very peaceful and no traffic noise at all.

I stayed here because of its proximity to an arts center where I was taking workshops. Some of the rooms can use an update but overall clean and very pleasant! The pool is very nice, the spa is awesome, and breakfast options are solid. The shuttle to the beach is also SO awesome. They were right on time for drop-off and pick-up. The only reason I have four stars is because one day some maintenance was happening and the electricity and water were turned off in my room without notice. Fortunately, I had somewhere else to go and it was turned back by the time I got back. Everyone was apologetic, but it would have definitely been nice to know in advance. All in all a pleasant stay!
