2nd stay at prasanthi, it was like coming home with the warm welcome off ketut. Loved it here again. Basic accomodation but so comfy. Spotlessly clean bed and towels. Room cleaned and linen and towels changed every 4 days. Close to all restaurants and bars but tucked away from all street noise. Loved our stay again. Thank you ketut.

Great location in the heart of everything but set back from main road so no road noise at night. Ketut is the lady who looks after everything for you. She is such a warm an genuine person and nothing is too much trouble for her. She sorted all taxis we needed, our laundry, a visit from a doctor when I was ill and also picked up my script from the pharmacy. The room we stayed in was basic but clean. Bedding and towels were changed often, toilet roll was freely available too. There is a fridge outside your room which is shared with the person next door but that was no problem. Ketut kept the fridge stocked with Bintang (the local beer) and we paid her for whatever we drank every few days. There`s are plenty of bars and restaurants up and down the main street, something for everyone. All in all a fabulous holiday made all the better by Ketut`s helpfulness. Would we return? YES in a heartbeat.

Background: Newbie to Bali...absolutely NO clue if my accom I book (thru Airbnb by the way) is gonna be a 'lemon' or not...relied heavily on photos and trip advisor reviews to make my overall decision.
Firstly: Why Sanur? Easy question...when I mentioned where I was going (to everyone that's been to Bali) they nodded encouragingly---good enough for me
Ok...moving right along...I was pleasantly greeted by Ketut and we instantly connected as she spoke and articulated with me in near perfect english (trust me, it felt like a lifeline after my rather challenging airport experience...geez that's another story all on its own)
Now...I'm no princess and it's probably not for everyone, so being shown the Double room...to me, I loved that it was part of a very old home which had tonnes of character (it had a warm feel to the whole place, and no I'm not talking about the mugginess either)
Noting: If you work FIFO exploration WA & a Coast-ee kiwi, you're 'get' where I'm coming from...
Yes...it was basic and the ensuite was a little on the small-ish side and it has good aircon, overall it suited my purpose and I enjoyed my stay
Ketut is my hostess (still on holiday...) and she is the loveliest, most helpful...did I mention, the kindest person you would be fortunate enough to meet in Sanur?!
We sat down outside my room and I went thru all my newbie questions...you know what, she made awesome recommendations, I booked them thru her and I had a stonkingly good time (my new age word for this year)
Recommendations:
Ketut (male driver) took me to Orchid Spa Kuta, Matahari Cafe (Jimbaran), Uluwatu temple
Mola Mola Express driver took me to Sanur Beach for Nusa Penida West trip
Bread basket (across the road) for breakfast
Retro restaurant (turn right) for cocktails...get your 'happy-on' and dinner
Coco express (turn right) for cheap Bintang lemon beer to top off the evening
Things that may be helpful:
Room is serviced every 4 days
Shared water filter and fridge with roomy next door...kitchen is out of bounds (family room only)
Be considerate and turn off aircon and lights when you walk out the door
Umm, I think I've covered off on this place...enjoy your stay...I did

Such a nice, clean and tidy place, that is also complemented by the kindly receptivity of Ketut. In addition, she provides orientation about places to visit and where and how much pay on average for laundry.

I stayed at Prasanthi Sanur only 1 night but I really wanted to write a review based on the very warm and nice welcome I had. Ketut, the owner, is very available and the communication was easy before I arrived and during my stay. I recommend it as the dorm is a great budget value, safe with an individual locker for everyone and the position in Sanur is very good.

We stayed in the family studio. The two rooms had very comfortable beds, was very tidy and spacious and the outdoor had everything we wished for. The location is amazing, only 4 minuets to the beach. Close to the main street, but was actually very calm and peaceful.
But the best thing about staying at Prasanthi is the host Ketut. From the first minute we felt so welcome. Ketut goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. We had the pleasure to talk to about Balinese culture, religion and life in general. She patiently answered all our questions and help us with everything we needed during our two weeks stay. We were sad to leave and will definitely come back.

Prasanthi is beautiful place with lovely rooms and a cute garden. It is close to the beach and restaurants and bars are nearby. The owner is a very friendly, helpful and open-minded person. Based on request she offers you a very good local breakfast. She also gave us a lot of useful advice about trips in Bali and travelling in Indonesia. Highly recommendable place!

This is a wonderful little homestay, close to the beach, shopping, nightlife, but tucked away behind the hubbub. All guest areas, including the kitchen that comes with the family room, were impeccably clean. There were all the luxuries we were looking for in this price point: onsite drinking water, a fridge, coffee and tea, hot showers, and A.C. And there is a pretty little courtyard garden just off the rooms. But the best part was the host! Ketut was so helpful in arranging transportation and recommending local restaurants and activities and was all-around fun to chat with. I would definitely stay here again!

Despite the many drawbacks I stayed here for a considerable period of time (more than a week).

Though it is mostly quiet after 00:00, during the day and evening there usually is noise as the place is adjacent to a restaurant where they play music (low sound bass). It is not far from the noisy Sanur highstreet.

The dorm room with four beds is outside the Prasanthi compound with higher priced rooms; this room is in the alley facing a wall with some plants in front, which you can hardly call a 'garden view' as is suggested on the booking website. You can not use the kitchen or sit in the garden.

Security is weak as Prasanthi is in an alley that can be freely accessed by the public. There are webcams, but for thieves easy to circumvent. Not for guests. Inside the dorm room there is a webcam overseeing the beds, not the lockers! Manager and assistant manager are absent most of the time. Most communication is by email, phone or app.

Many rules like you are not allowed to sit on an unused bed, or to put a bag on your bed. No bicycle at additional charge as promised on the website, just a reference to the beach where you can rent one yourself.

What really put me off is that I was summoned to leave, while they had not closed the booking. Even with a confirmed booking no extension! Staff was not so friendly after all.
