I visited Sofitel Nusa Dua twice this year, in April and June, both for long time stay. During my first stay, I found it weird that I got assigned in connecting room with stranger who were super loud every night until above 12 AM. I tried to check & complaint with the Guest Service but they convinced me that my neighbor will check out tomorrow. With minimal effort to pack and unpack, I decided to stay & wait. Apparently the annoying guests decided to extend and Sofitel didn’t even bother to switch their room even though I’ve filed many complaints about it. Only when the loud neighbor got uncontrolled and started knocking my door, that Sofitel took an action to move my room! Yes I got to pack & unpack at 11PM. That’s a great way to ruin my birthday night. No compensation or anything from Sofitel but decided to get over it. Please note that I stayed for 7 nights and other than room arrangement, the service in restaurant, beach, room service was great. Then I didn’t learn my lesson and booked another 5 nights stay in Sofitel in June which will be my last visit in Sofitel. It started pretty good when they upgraded my room but wait, they only upgraded the last 2 nights, can’t be for entire stay. Why did Sofitel always make me pack & unpack in the middle of the stay?? When I checked if they could keep the same upgraded room for entire stays, they said that I have to pay with crazy cost, 2x what I paid for my room. I wonder if that’s what Sofitel wanted from the beginning by upgrading half way. Refusing go get scammed, I decided not to keep my assigned room & tried my luck to at least ask for great room position for the last 2 nights. And Sofitel rejected it !! Was that too much to ask considering plenty available rooms? And the drama continuous during checkout day where the lady from the front office ‘strongly pushed’ me to checkout at 12PM 3 times while the voucher that I bought entitle me with late checkout at 3 PM. I told her I needed to stay til 1.30 PM to catch a flight, then they got someone knocking my door telling me to checkout and called me again telling that they will send a bell boy to check me out. OMG what did I do wrong that Sofitel treated me this way? Esp to recurring long stay guests during pandemic??! Turned out many guests unable to get their room and got piled in the lobby. That’s the reason why they asked us to checkout earlier than promised time. That incident really taught me to stop giving Sofitel another chance. My overall comment for Sofitel is don’t expect to receive 5 stars service, especially from the Front Office. The service from restaurant, bar & beach were still great. But being mistreated like that, sooner or later, loyal guests will not come back and willing to pay a bit more to other 5 stars hotel that can serve us better.

Stay for 3 nights. Got the second floor room, which is the lobby floor. Yes, Lobby is in 2nd floor. Nice hotel, clean, big, friendly staff. Except one time I ask for breakfast box because have an early schedule. The guy in the front desk (I think). First he said the breakfast box quota is full. So I argue, then said will be additional charge. Argue again, finally he said will be done (no charge). Well, I didn't expect from this nice hotel. The point is need to argue. To the hotel management, please manage your staff. Location is in Nusa Dua, not to far inside. Private beach, very nice. Room. Big, spacious, very clean, well maintained. Have balcony. Bathroom just awesome. Except the amenities, not that many. Food is good, served from 6.30 AM. Big Pool (Very Nice). I say this is a very nice hotel.

My stay at Sofitel was indescribable! Henrique was very helpful during my stay at Sofitel last week. I got the beach view room. The pool and the breakfast was also nice. Although we don't get the sunset at the beach, do wake up earlier to catch the beautiful sunrise at Sofitel! Will surely come back to Sofitel again when I visit Bali. - steffy waworuntu-

This is the second time to sofitel Nusa dua, i can feel the differences. the lobby no AC and the luxurious feel was gone. When entering our plunge pool room the floor was slippery, and i can see they seem lack of employee. But it was neccesary when big hotel try to survive on this pandemic. And it happens next day when the water broke down for almost 5 hours, you can use toilet and you can do hygenic things😅 I hope they can achieve the luxurious level that have been missing. Love this hotel, and will back soon

I stayed at this hotel on 04-07 June 2021. I booked the hotel via the Accor website (All-Mastercard Promo). I am very disappointed with the hotel, on every aspect. Better avoid this hotel right now. If you saw some bad reviews on Tripadvisor, THEY WERE ALL TRUE. If I got a chance to get my money back, I would love to request that. Followings are the detail of the issue: 1. As Accor-Member, I booked a much more expensive rate. Through some investigation (interviewing other guests), mostly they booked the hotel through the travel agent, which has more than 25% cheaper rate. I can not claim it at the hotel and the Accor-web system, because it was a verbal investigation, without a proven document (which is unethical to ask other guests regarding the bill). If you are an Accor member, better avoid booking this hotel. Guaranteed, you will get a series of disappointment afterward. From sub-standard acknowledgment until expensive rate. 2. Very long walking distance from the parking area to the hotel. If you are staying in a private car, this hotel is surely not for you. You will walk very far from your parking area to the hotel lobby. Even though they provide Boogey (shuttle), their shuttle is very limited, operates only at a certain hour, and you must wait for more than 10 minutes. They have plenty of Boogey-car, but only one has functioned. In addition, very non-attentive security and concierge staff will test your patience hardly. 3. Bad “Guest relation“ Staffs. Especially if you have “special days”, better avoid this hotel. I was celebrating my birthday at this hotel. Sadly, no acknowledgment from the hotel staff. It’s okay because I don’t expect anything. But the biggest problem was: The hotel did not facilitate my colleague from outside Bali to arrange some surprises for me. In addition, the hotel staff provokes my colleague with non-sense and non-professional reasons such as “not supported payment system”. In the end, instead of surprise, my colleague asked whether I was staying at a 5-star hotel or some no-name inexperienced hotel. 4. Worst buffet breakfast experiences. During COVID-19, their buffet breakfast was overcrowded, with a substandard choice of breakfast. Very dangerous buffet breakfast experience. No social distancing, undermanned staffs. Might be this hotel want to open a new COVID-19 Cluster in Nusa Dua. 5. Bad Room arrangement. As an Accorplus Platinum member, I got an upgrade to an Ocean-view room. I am not satisfied with the room, due to the jet-shower problem and the position of the room was not fully ocean view. The maintenance team responded well. But no response from the receptionist whether they have tried to arrange me to a better room or not. There are also some positive aspects. The cleaning staffs and the restaurant staffs are very polite. I saw one of the cleaning staff helping the other guest’s child to wear the shoes. It was a very touching moment. As an Accorplus Platinum member, they provided me high-tea and tapas, even though their “club millessime” was closed. Mr. Udayana as a duty manager was very polite. Additionally, they provided me a very big welcome fruit basket. But I think that was only a standard service. It was solely because I was a Platinum member. Nothing Special. Taken together, my experience during 3 nights stay at this hotel was horrible, full of shame and bad experience. I rejected their “free lunch” offer. I will not come again to this hotel, even though the management has offered me a “double upgrade”. Not worthy of time and money. Shame on you, 5-star hotel, but looked like a budget hotel. Not worthy for Sofitel-brand. Your substandard Management put Bali’s tourism face in a big disgrace.
