Nestled on a stunning beachfront, InterContinental Bali Resort is lauded for its idyllic location near the airport, shops, and local cuisine, offering serene vistas that captivate guests. The resort's ambiance, characterized by a cozy elegance and enlivened by live music, earns praise, though it carries a hint of dated charm. While the service receives commendations for professionalism, some guests have encountered disorganization.
The amenities, including diverse dining and pristine pools, are particularly celebrated, yet opinions on value are split due to additional costs. Room experiences vary, with some needing updates, despite overall commendations for cleanliness.

Wow! I would recommend this resort to anyone. I stayed for 1 week with my husband and 4 year old boy and it was absolutely incredible. The resort is beautiful, the grounds, rooms, pools, beach, restaurants…. we did not want to leave, it was like being in heaven. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly and were brilliant with our little boy. We had some incredible meals at the resort, and also spent a few nights eating down on the beach at the fish restaurants. The breakfast in particular was amazing with every variety of options you could possibly think of. My little boy also LOVED the kids club and asked to go back every day! I was reluctant to leave him at first (he’s never been to one before) but once I saw how brilliant the facilities were and how kind the staff were with him, he ended up going for a couple of hours for 3 of the days and made kites, decorated biscuits and went fishing… it was the highlight of his trip!!!! We did a few trips from the resort, one to Uluwatu temple and another to Sundays beach club which I would highly recommend. The rest of the time we just enjoyed spending our days around the pool and exploring the grounds… it was pure bliss and we can’t wait to return. Thank you for the best start to our Bali/Australia adventure.

On arrival at this resort from Ubud for our 6 night’s stay we were met at the porch by friendly attendants who took charge of our luggage. Upon entering a vast and impressive reception hall we were received by a young lady with sincere warmth and smile. As IHG members we were allocated a nicely fitted room overlooking the pool area on the ground floor. The room was airconditioned, clean and spacious. Bathroom had a separate shower area, with a reasonably powerful shower, as well as a bath tub. 4 complementary bottles of water were given, replenished on a daily basis. There was a well stocked a mini bar. A large flat screen tv was mounted on the wall which could be turned towards the bed, if required. English news channels eg: BBC and CNN were available. The large size bed was very comfortable. Two swimming pools, a poolside bar, and a few restaurants were located within the vast premises. The resort also arranges a selection of daily activities, some of which are complementary. We attended a session on body conditioning in the gym. We found the hour we spent with Adab, Physical Trainer very helpful. Wonderful guy! The breakfast area is spacious with seating inside or outside on the veranda, overlooking the lake and gardens. The spread is very good, catering for various tastes. The staff, under the ever so attentive and friendly Mr.Ashwathama, were very friendly and attentive. Special thanks to all those who took care of our vegetarian diet. The resort is situated on a quiet beach front with plenty of opportunity to walk along the beach or within its own boundaries. Alternatively you can just lie down on one of the many outdoor loungers facing the pool or the beach where you can also see the planes taking off at a distance from the international airport. There are also cycles you can borrow and pedal around the resort. On the whole our stay was very comfortable. Our only regret was that their club lounges was not available to us on a complementary basis, despite being IHG members. Also, I would have preferred to see more items on the menu at their restaurants which are suitable for the growing numbers of vegetarians and vegans.

Always have a good stay in InterContinental Bali Resort. It is an old hotel, but still in good shape.
During this pandemic, the staffs give a remarkable attention and implement the hygene in the hotel area, room, and pool areas.
I always like the room, big room, with good bathroom and a bathtub.
and the most important...InterContinenal Bali Resort has a direct access to the jimbaran beach. Jimbaran beach is a clean beach and there are many seafood restaurants nearby. good for you who like to do jogging and to play in the beach.
Over all, InterContinenal is well-maintained hotel, and you will have a memorable stay.
Have a good holiday!

After our third stay in Intercon Bali, I have decided to write this review as there were some changes in the hotel after our last stay a couple of years ago. Some great, some not so great.
The overall hotel experience remains great. We always stay in club rooms as the benefits are really worth the extra buck that they cost. Especially now that the rooms are being renovated. We were assigned the brand new renovated rooms which were spotless from all aspects.
Hotel location is also unbeatable if you are looking for a beachside hotel.
Restaurants in the hotel also remain of impeccable quality.
Although there were a couple of changes into hotel policies that were not very customer friendly. Firstly, hotel stuff shoots out a number of emails prior to arrival. Those emails always make me smile as they are template emails and stuff is not caring enough to adjust them enough to make them personal, so always quite funny.
The second change that really bothered me this time is the way that the bungalows around the executive pool are being handled. You need to reserve them on the previous day and the maximum time that you can reserve them is 4 hours per day. If you would like to use them for more time, it's for an extra charge! Whereas I understand that there are only four of those and time slots ensure that all the guests enjoy them, it was ridiculous to ask for extra payment when all 4 of them were empty the whole day and guests, including us, were made to use the chezlongs after 4 hours. Again I would completely understand if other guests were using the bungalows, but clearly doesn't make sense if those stay empty for the rest of the day! Also, the way that it is communicated by the stuff, was not the most customer-friendly.
Those may be small details, but after staying in the hotel 3 times in the past, I would expect 5-star treatment for the club guests.
I will definitely stay again if in Bali as Interconti is my place to go while there, but management should look into the above points to improve guests experience.

I’m a regular visitor to Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts and this was my first visit to the one in Bali.
It’s a surprisingly big resort in terms of the number of rooms but the beauty of the layout and gardens make it feel intimate and like a little corner of paradise.
The Club treatment and facilities are up there with the best Intercontinental’s such as Koh Samui or Danang. That’s the biggest compliment I can give it.
Great choice of food and drinks and always wonderful service with no shortage of smiling staff whose only aim is to please.
The duplex Club Suite was exceptional in size and comfort. TV’s and sound system were excellent and very intuitive to use.
Fresh decor and furnishings made it a pleasure to kick back indoors.
As well as the Club lounge, the Club pool and its staff made it an easy choice to spend the maximum time there during the day. In the evening it’s a wonderful place to enjoy a cocktail and the beautiful Balinese sunsets which rarely disappoint.
I tried the KO Japanese restaurant for the teppanyaki and the food was wonderful. It was a little light on the usual tricks and entertainment you expect from this type of restaurant but the food definitely was the highlight.
A half day in the spa was wonderful with fantastic treatments and very capable friendly staff. Resort spas are never the cheapest, but I left feeling very relaxed and refreshed so I cannot complain.
My trip was only 4nights/5days and my aim was to indulge and relax somewhere that was easy to reach with minimum airport transfer time.
Outside of peak hours the hotel can be reached in only 20 minutes and the hotel pick up service is efficient and stress free.
What more can I say, I felt no need to leave the resort during my stay. That’s the first time I have ever done that anywhere.
I will definitely be back and should do more exploring of the surrounding areas. That’s if I force myself away from the exceptional location, grounds and service that beat my expectations.
Thanks Team Intercontinental Bali ✌🏼

Stayed in a duplex suite with 2 bathrooms/ toilets. Spacious and comfortable. We were given chocolate as welcome gifts which were yummy. Also had passion fruits.
As we had access to the lounge, we could enjoy finger food and beverages from 12-6 pm each day during our stay. There was free flow of beer and wine from 5-6 pm too.
Breakfast spread was not bad but the food tasted mediocre. At certain times. restaurant was very packed and had to get a table outdoors where it was humid and warm.
Had dinner at Jimbaran Gardens and KO Japanese restaurant and also ordered room service during the 3 nights we stayed. Dinner cost about SGD 200 each at the restaurant as we ordered entrees, mains and desserts. Food was pretty good.
The main pool was huge about 30 m long and a good size for swimming laps. I chose to swim.in to morning when it was less crowded. The kids would spend their afternoon at the game center where they played snooker, table tennis and soccer.
All in all it was a pleasant stay like one in a big hotel, nothing extraordinary.

We have just returned home from another excellent holiday at this resort.
Stayed in a club suite (room 1218), which was spacious and very comfortable for the four of us. The bathroom and toiletries were amazing as well.
We made extensive use of the club facilities and privileges, happy hour by the club pool etc. We had dinner at the Sunset Beach Bar a couple of times and enjoyed a tasty, healthy meal with stunning evening views
As usual, our daughter enjoyed Planet Trekkers and spent a couple of hours there each day.
I didn’t use the beauty spa services this time, as the prices were just way too high compared to the beauty spas outside the resort.
Every single staff member we met is extremely friendly and professional and nothing is too much trouble for them. They all should be commended for their hard work and dedication to customer service. Thank you so much.
We will certainly be returning in the future.

From the moment we stepped foot onto this property, we knew that we were in for a lovely stay. Everything was very clean, and appeared to be well maintained. The hotel did not seem to have many people staying, but with 6 buildings, it's difficult to determine. For us, it was very quiet and the service was always quick. All the staff were wearing masks everywhere.
All the pools were clean, with ample towels and comfortable loungers and daybeds in the bales. We never had a problem finding somewhere to sit by the pool with fresh towels. There was also power and a USB port available at the pool bales for use.
The room was huge, with everything we needed - separate toilet in the bathroom, full length mirror, iron and ironing board, magnifying mirror in the bathroom...
The breakfast was vast, with a wide variety of food available at the buffet, and an al a carte menu as well. Shout out to Rini, who was labelled as a "trainee", who always remembered us with a smile as well as our coffee order each day. We were temperature checked before entering the breakfast area, and asked to sanitise and wear a face mask whilst inside.
The only thing that could be improved was the lack of knowledge of the staff on the front desk. A couple of times I asked, what I thought were pretty basic questions, such as "where can I change money on the street...where can I hire a scooter etc" and they were not able to provide answers. One day I told them I wanted to go to Kuta to shop, and they very kindly telephoned for a taxi for me. What would have been useful before I left, would have been to inform me that 90% of Kuta was actually closed, including Matahari's which was actually boarded up.

What would have been useful before I left, would have been to inform me that 90% of Kuta was actually closed, including Matahari's which was actually boarded up.

We have stayed at IC Bali nearly every year now for the past 10 years most recently over Christmas. Every time it exceeds expectations.
The refurbished rooms, particularly in Club, are very beautiful and well planned.
F&B has got even better since our last stay. Jimbaran Gardens menu is enticing, good value and excellent quality. The canapes in the Club lounge are superb as are the cocktails. Room service food was delivered promptly and very appetising.
All the staff are wlecoming, have a can do attitude and they remeber every little detail albeit names, personal preferences and follow up on any issues that arise.
There aren't many hotels that not only maintain such high all round standards but push hard to improve the guests experience.
I would challenge anyone to find a better all round hotel experience that has everything for all family members at a reasonable price.
We will be back again soon.
Thank you to everyone at IC Bali.

Suggest you contact the hotel directly - although I am sure that they do so. Depending on your booking, they might provide this free of charge.
In my case, we were part of a wedding group and the host made arrangements for private taxes and minibuses.

Can anyone tell me of other good hotels in the same area please as we are now reconsidering our options.
Thank you 🙏
Sounds odd as service has been amazing for my past three stays. We always book via IHG website

Northumberland, United Kingdom2,688 contributions137 helpful votesPlease can anyone tell me the difference between the Uluwatu and the Balinese suites?
Also - are there any suites on the SAME floor as the club pool and club lounge please? We have stayed her before but can’t recall as we strayed in a Mezzanine room last times
Thank you
