The Savoy is an excellent hotel and one of the best in the city. The Soho square location is second to none and the facilities are top notch. The hotel offers multiple restaurants a great beach and several pools of which two are heated and can be used year round. The buffet is varied and the food is clean and delicious. The beach is lovely and sandy with the swimming area down a quay to protect the coral reefs near there. For 5$ snorkelling gear is available and can be rented, which is well worth it as the location is right near corals with fish and marine life. Very exciting to swim along there! There’s free entertainment, such as volleyball games and darts which guests can partake in as well as Zumba classes. The cleaning staff were very friendly and professional as were the receptionists, especially Youhana and Lena. Check out can be extended for free if the rooms are available. The taxi service desk is fairly priced unlike in other hotels. The Soho square amenities are all 25% off which is significant, all the more so since many of the facilities are cheap anyway. The rooms are spacious, well stocked and clean and there’s a choice of pillows and duvets to suit anyone’s needs. Little bathroom packs are provided with everything necessary. The safe is easy to use and the TV has a good selection of channels. Would highly recommend the hotel it made our stay unforgettable!

Relaxed at a hotel in early February. It's not the first time in Egypt, so there's a lot to compare. The hotel is excellent, the service is at the highest level, the staff is very polite and attentive. Cleaning daily, in the rooms everything you need: slippers, bathrobes, kettle and minibar (one time free). The rooms themselves are very spacious, we had a view of the garden, 47m2, with a terrace. Food is excellent, varied, drinks are quality, imported. The hotel itself for a relaxing stay, evenings live music and relaxation. For those who want to, noisy and vibrant entertainment, it's all in SOHO. There are shows and entertainment for kids, bars, restaurants for all tastes. The hotel is in the heart of SOHO. The hotel has many A la Carte restaurants and they are free of charge upon reservation in advance, including a portion of restaurants and bars in SOHO included in the price. Once a holiday includes a visit to the spa (sauna, hamam, Jacuzzi). For each camper included washing and ironing 7 things per holiday, which is very convenient, free of charge never before encountered this. The beach has a wonderful reef, pontoon entrance, it's 40 meters. The hotel doesn't have many Russians, mostly Italians, we even liked it. On the downside are a bit tired rooms, but we weren't embarrassed by it, it's all clean and decent. Bottom line: definitely back to Savoy. Thank you so much to all the service personnel for our wonderful holiday.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
I rarely write reviews, but I can't help it. The hotel deserves maximum marks in at least three categories: level of service overall, food, grounds and rooms. Everything here is spotless. All hotel services and services are open 24/7. A separate housekeeping boy is attached to each room. In our case, Mohammed is a great boy, every day a number like new. Very friendly and responsive staff. Excellent Sea View Room with huge balcony. Best mattress and best pillows I've ever tried. A large number of A la Carte restaurants included in AI accommodation. All the restaurants are very decent, the cuisine is on the level, lots of fresh and varied seafood, which was particularly pleasing. I would like to mention separately Chief Waiter Misha (he introduced himself to us) - he is just a great guy, speaks fluent Russian and English, very attentive, advises that try, creates a very kind and positive atmosphere. The main restaurant also has everything on a very high level. Lunch is also available by the pool and at A la Carte. Real five stars. The hotel is located in a separate location, Soho Square, styled after the London district of the same name. It is a mini-neighborhood also built by Savoy. It's very beautiful and dignified, there are shops, a pharmacy, a supermarket and a lot more. In general, even with a great desire to find something off the level in this hotel will be difficult. We've only been here eight days, which is definitely not enough. It's only been a week, but we want to get back.

We arrived in the early hours of the morning and we were allocated a twin room where they pushed 2 beds next to the other but there was a big gap between the bed and the wall where the headboard should have been. We called to reception the following morning and we were changed to an actual double room - 2017. The room was spacious with lots of storage space and a bathroom with a bath. It was kept spotlessly clean daily and the mini bar was stocked once on the 2nd day. There was always new bottles of water left each day. Robes and slippers were provided in the room.
The grounds were also kept immaculate, we often saw the flowers and shrubs being tended to. We also did not get bitten during our stay, I'm not sure but I think they spray the grounds in the evenig to deter mosquitos.
The beach has lots of sun loungers with umbrellas and a pontoon where you can snokel directly off of. There is also a bar right on the beach with a selection of snacks and lunch. The one drawback on the beach was the constant on site vendors harrassing you to get a massage or beauty treatments, tours etc, I was not expecting this within the hotel grounds. The main pool was cold during our stay but the other pool was heated. There was also bar service around the pool.
The food was nice in the main dining room and there was a good vartiey however I was dissapointed that you had to book the other restaurants before 1pm the day your wanted to use them, you could not decide later on in the day. All restaurants were not open every night and there were 2 weddings and another event on during our week which closed the restautants for these functions. We ate in the Italian restaruant 2 nights and enjoyed this.
The safari bar and the Cave bar were lovely at night but the hotel itself overall lacked a good variety of nightly entertainment.
The location of the hotel was very central with Soho square just outside the hotel, there are lots of shops here. We always felt safe in the hotel and security were always very thorough when leaving and arriving back to the hotel after tours. There is a cash machine to the left hand side of the hotel where you can exchange dollars / euros and sterling to Egyptian pounds. There are also a few shops on the floor beneath the reception level.
Overall we had a lovely week and all the staff we encountered we fabulous and always very helpful.

SAVOY SHARM I have not been to many hotels in Egypt however my personal experience allows me to say that the Savoy is a great choice, spacious and clean rooms and considering that we are in Egypt, the food is good and varied and I find interesting the “dine around” formula that allows you to take advantage, by reservation, of the other 5 restaurants (Greek, Turkish, Italian, Seafood and International) also the structure is located a few meters from Soho square which is owned by the Savoy group. Drinks are served in bottles or cans, do not use plastic cups, several swimming pools, well-equipped beach and lifeguards always present, two jetties and all the staff is friendly and helpful. I was staying at the “Jasmin” block, to reach the beach I would have to walk more than a hundred steps, using one of the three elevators, I would go down four floors arriving easily in the pool area. I believe there are three areas where management could intervene to achieve improvements: 1. The washing of the glasses in the pool and beach bars, takes place in a too “bland” way by quickly passing the glass under water, this operation absolutely does not guarantee the hygiene that is obtained from the dishwasher, often there are lipstick stains on the glasses. 2. Not all waiters speak English, this often generates misunderstandings with commands also on several occasions it happened that restaurant reservations made by customers through Guest Relation, are not communicated to restaurants generating the rejection of the customer who shows up at the agreed time even if the room is half empty. 3. I suggest to assign the customers a bracelet avoiding having to continuously use the room card that also acts as a pass to restaurants and bars, leaving the room, you have to sign a receipt indicating your name and room number, for shy people or those who do not speak English, this procedure could represent an obstacle not understanding if what you order is part of the all inclusive or if you have to pay. I will definitely return to the Savoy and recommend it.

For the fourth time at the Savoy it's like coming home, always. Thanks for the welcome and availability, priceless. Thanks for the care and variety of the food: captivating. Thanks for the assistance and friendliness, to Tyson, Soliman, Ayad in beach, to Martina at the reception of the Tirana restaurant, thanks to Michele who speaks excellent Italian at the Rosmarino restaurant, thanks to Mina at Sea Food and to all the colleagues whose names we cannot remember. We would like to recommend this structure from all points of view, for the well-kept avenues, for the plants, flowers and gardens, for the excellent access to the sea even for those who have little confidence with the water, for the splendid coral reef, also on the shore this year many and colorful fish, even sea eagles. The room never disappoints, large, bright and clean every day, equipped with many comforts. Strategic location of the village in Soho Square; you can easily go out in the evening on foot, to stroll among shops and restaurants; Nama Bay and the Farsha Café are about thirty minutes away from the structure by taxi, which you can easily take outside Soho. There will definitely be a fifth time!!! A huge thank you and see you soon. Laura and Marco

Super comfortable place, the Franco-red guys provide excellent service, spotless room, which is also cleaned and replenished every day, the hotel staff is super friendly and offer immense availability, on the beach mohammed ayad are mythical but who reigns unchallenged on the beach is Tyson who brightens up the days at the beach and assists you in everything bringing frozen towels and joking continuously, the restaurant has thousands of dishes with theme dinners every day with an impressive variety of dishes. Water and ice have not given us any problem because the structure is very attentive to this and protects its guests in every way (despite brushing teeth is recommended with bottled water that the hotel provides at will). The coral reef here is beautiful and the variety of fish is huge, from barracuda to puffer fish in the deepest points to the most amazingly colored fish even found on shore. In short, a winning package that makes the stay very pleasant and comfortable considering that leaving the hotel there is soho square that is full of shops and services of all kinds

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Savoy on our first trip to Egypt What a lovely hotel and the staff can’t do enough for you.
The Savoy is 20 mins from the airport, located right beside SOHO Square which has lots going on, with lots of restaurants and shops. You can book excursions from the hotel if you want, or there are plenty of companies you can book online.
The hotel is spotlessly clean with grounds staff working non-stop to keep the gardens beautiful and all public areas spic and span. It has a beachside location with gorgeous views. The hotel reef has some lovely snorkelling off two pontoons, each with a lifeguard, although not much space for just swimming in the shallows due to the proximity of the reef to the beach. The staff on the beach will bring you drinks and are very happy to help you with sunbeds and towels etc.
There are Turkish, Greek, Italian and a seafood a la carte restaurants included in the AI package. The main buffet restaurant food is varied and plentiful, with themed evenings e.g international and Middle Eastern. There are lovely salads and desserts. The restaurant staff are all excellent and can speak 3 or 4 languages. We were treated really well by all staff, but particularly Makarious, who went out of his way to make sure we had a table reserved and our drinks ready.
Asraf, by the pool brought our towels every morning and was always smiling and chatty. Two out of the three pools were heated and there were always plenty of sunbeds by the pools and beach.
The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean with water and soft drinks provided. The housekeeping team worked non-stop all day. A sea view room was included in our package, but we were on the ground floor, so the view could have been better so I’d ask for a first floor room if you can.
There is an ATM in reception in which you can really easily exchange £, $ or Euros to EGP. The exchange rate is very competitive.
Overall a perfect hotel and we plan to return.

There is only one thing that let's this hotel down and its the main restaurant. I would give the savoy 5 stars but for the restaurant. Every time we used the restaurant none of the tables were reset. If you turned up late for dinner you were very lucky if you could find a clean table. For a five star hotel you would expect to be shown to a table that was clean and set up with salt and pepper plus cutlery but never once was a used table reset. Also you had to find your own table. Food at the main restaurant was ok. There was grilled chicken every night. The soups was varied and tasty but only warm. Most nights we found something to eat but not a great selection for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast in the main restaurant was reasonably good, a variety of pastries and egg dishes. No real English breakfast as such but ok. All the a la carte restaurants were good. The best place to eat lunch times was the pool bar, an excellent selection to choose. Drinks was good mainly local drinks but good. Staff work really hard all around the complex but a special mention to our room cleaner Abdel Masin who did a fantastic job every day. Very attentative. Pool areas all good beach was excellent with good snorkeling. Tip if you need a snorkeling mask get one from the shop in the hotel as its much cheaper than the supermarket in soho Square. When you first arrive you are not given a wrist band for your all inclusive instead everytime time you visit a bar ir restaurant you have to give them your room number and room key then sign fir what you have had. This can be frustrating at times because once finished in bar or restaurant you have to ask fir your key back. The safari bar is adults only a little dark but we enjoyed it in there. Staff were excellent. Room was nice size bed was comfortable. All in all a good holiday. Soho Square is nice to visit in evenings with all the lights but be careful where you drink as even with 25% off its still expensive. Will I come back to Egypt? Yes will I come back to the savoy? Probably not mainly because of the restaurant.

This hotel was fabulous so clean, the staff were very welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. The beach was great, so many beautiful fish, it has a boardwalk so you can walk out and see the fish, if you do not want to snorkel. Lots of sunbeds on the beach, the lifeguards take your towel to your sunbeds for you, and there are plenty of bar staff to get you a drink or food. The swimming pools have plenty of beds, although some people are out there very early putting downs on. The lifeguards again carry your towel to your sunbeds, and they are always smiling. My 2 moans are the towels and bathrobes in the rooms are so hard, they need a softener on them. And having your room cleaned at 5.30pm when it gets dark at 5.45 is not good, but we complained after the second time, and they did do the room earlier. Soho Square was great and we felt very safe there, so colourful with all the lights at night and so clean. We will definitely be returning to the Savoy
