I’d say there’s not any negative point of this hotel. The view, location, cleanliness & etc. is in high class. If you want to have walk distance to Mc’donalds, small groceries and town, it’s the best option! There’re 4 separate beaches which divided for silent relax, and active swimming snorkeling. Beach area is clean and sea itself amazing with its underwater life!

After this bad Covid year, when the whole world came to a standstill, I was very much looking forward to resting in my over all favourite Sharm el Sheikh!!! I usually stay at the Mövenpick Naama Bay. And there, I treat myself to several time-outs at the Lotus Spa. Already on the day of arrival I book the first relaxation programme with sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, scrub, bubble bath... and a whole series of massages. Here can I calm my mind with relaxin music and enjoy the exuberant hours for myself while my body is massaged by thousands of pulsating water beads and take in the serenity of my surroundings. Lotus Spa offers a wide range of high quality treatments, with fair prices and even individual advice on request. I have since several years the same masseuse, her name is Rehab and she is very friendly and highly qualified! My holiday will soon be over, but I'm looking forward to October when I'll be back! I recommend everyone who has to work hard for months to visit this spa - really you will feel like newborn!

One week holidays. I chose this hotel having in mind a luxury vacation. Movenpick was on my list as one of the destinations. Architecture is beautiful, we initially chose a sea deluxe room and the view from the balcony was not disappointing. Now, to real things: - general: no indication / map given at check-in, basically we were lost trying to find the restaurant, bar, etc. - rooms (we changed the initial room hoping for a better one - the initial room was smelly, having two single beds and a clogged sink). All doors are cracking like in horror movies. First night I woke up 4 times because the front door was not closing properly and it was very noisy. We got the ''catch'' next day from one of the hotel employees - you have to strongly punch it to close it. The smell in the room is very heavy, furniture is old and dirty, not dusty but dirty. The AC probably has not been cleaned since ages, it smells like dust when on. - bathroom: I found a used soap in the shower and a used towel. In a new room. The floor was full of spots and for the whole week I was afraid to take off my slippers when showering. The sink was clogged, so to wash you face AND your teeth you need a pause in between. Shelves in bathroom were dirty. We were too tired and already trying a second room. Decided to stay. - food: apart the breakfast, salads and desserts (fresh black dates are amazing), rest was survival-mode food. Mostly overcooked, overall not enjoyable at all, no seasoning, the beef felt all the time like chewing a shoe. Which I also communicated to the manager. Unfortunately, I did not notice any improvement. No dietary food , by the way. - services: Housecleaning every 2 days. You can request once every day, but I guess there is no difference. Still same clogged sink, dirty floor (like stains) and heavy smell. It requires much more than a mop. extras: - Animation/Beauty/Spa/Aquatic teams: too persistent. And some of them really rude. You can be called lazy - that's if you don't join activities (like Yoga under 41Celsius) or they can ask you what is wrong with your face - that's the beauty lady. Completely unacceptable. - Poolbar/beach bar close at 5PM. - Movenpick ice-cream is not included! You have to pay, no matter the package you choose. Same for evening drinks at animation place, or any place except reception bar. If you finished your dinner and willing to move to bar near restaurant for a drink, you have to pay. If you want to sing karaoke and have a drink, you have to pay. - All a la carte restaurants are against charge. Beach bar (Horizon) is against charge. - Staff: friendly, except mentioned above. Snorkeling: amazing! You get to see similar to the Ras Mohammed, really! If this is what drives you, no need to take the optional to the reservation. There are several beaches, I however recommend beach 4 for this activity. Plenty of colorful fished and beautiful corals to enjoy.

Dear ClaudiaPopa, First of all let us seize the opportunity and thank you for taking some of your precious time to write such detailed review with a lot of constructive comments and observations. Thank you so much for your honest opinion. We really do respect all your personal expectations while traveling. We are delighted to read that you appreciated magic location, charming views and amazing snorkeling. We are very concerned regarding your overall experience in our resort. All your comments have been passed already to the concerned department heads for consideration and efficient actions. We shall ensure, if you will give us second chance someday, you would find a lot of improvements. We truly hope that you won’t judge our property by this experience and will have an honor of welcoming you back in our resort. Best Regards

We chose this resort because of the architecture and on that note it did not disappoint. Other high notes entail the pool and beaches (although beach 2 is kind of useless). You can snorkel and see stunning reefs and fish right off the beach. We also found most of the staff to be friendly. Now for the negatives: You can’t just enjoy yourself on the beach or by (or even in) the pool. Staff from the spa, aquatics center, etc make rounds trying to get tourists to spend more money. Most take a simple no thank you and carry on, but some are more persistent. We even had an offer to get tattooed by a tattoo master. The animation team has events throughout the day but even they do a bit of heckling to try to get you to participate. The rooms are outdated and have an old musty smell. The air is at a set temperature and our vent started making a dreadful noise in the middle of the night for quite a while one night. This thankfully subsided or I would have requested a fix or different room. The furniture on the balcony is outdated wood that I did not feel safe sitting on, which was a shame because the view was beautiful. Housekeeping only cleans and changes sheets/ towels every other day (you may be able to request more but this is what the paperwork listed). This meant that during our four night stay that we only got fresh sheets and towels once. This normally isn’t a huge deal, but when dealing with sand it can get annoying. We were not given any kind of orientation or instruction on the protocols so we didn’t understand how the beaches worked or how you need to sign for your meals (we assumed since it was a buffet and we gave our room number that was sufficient). The beaches and pool both close at 6 PM. Lastly and truly worst of all was the food at the main restaurant/ buffet. Nothing seemed to be cooked properly. Most things were over cooked with some things being undercooked (like the potatoes). Most food lacked seasoning and flavor and was truly abysmal. Worst of all, one breakfast I received a plate of moldy Gouda cheese. It was visibly hairy and had blueish/green spots. We were appalled when we received a check for two dinner buffets that cost 800LE, around $27 USD a person for the equivalent of bad cafeteria food. We promptly made reservations elsewhere for the rest of our meals that weren’t included. On that night, we highly recommend the Indian Restaurant, Rangoli.

+1
We've spent one week in this hotel, with nice but also unpleaseant experiences. The garden and the beaches are very beautifull. The snorkeling mostly on the 4th beach is a great experience. Unfortunatelly the hotel is old and the rooms lookes like they were not renovated for long time. In the rooms it is a heavy smell of old. The doors are creaking, the washbasin is sunk and so on. After we got the room we've asked to changed it, they gave us another but it ot was exactly the same. The food: very repetitive, with only few variable menus at lunch and dinner. Excepting the salad and aperitives bar which is very well done, the rest of the menu is comparible with a mid quality restaurant. Not the least, all the staff people from the bars, restaurant etc. are very nice, ready to help.
