We were at the Iberotel Makadi Beach from March 9th to March 16th, 2024. We booked the trip through TUI Sussie with "all inclusive" including hotel transfer.

The rooms are divided into different groups, we were in the 7th group (pictures attached). 👇🏽 The rooms are OK in terms of size, there is a safe in the closet that you can use free of charge, bathrobes, a minibar (soft drinks were also included), slippers, a kettle for making tea and coffee, hairdryer in the bathroom. The rooms are clean and there were only small defects that are only minor cosmetic defects, such as the grout in the bathroom or our toilet seat being a bit loose. The used beach towels can be replaced by housekeeping every evening (usually before dinner) if required. Great service!
Restaurant The food in the buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good, there were lots of cold and lots of hot dishes. The "theme evenings" were the food was very varied, very tasty and the quality was very good! (We have rarely seen it as good as here!) Sometimes the hot dishes were lukewarm to cold, but that is the case in most cases and can never be served "hot" because the "chafing dishes" (warming containers) are constantly being opened and closed. We would also like to thank Mr. "Amr" and "Abu M." for the incredibly great service! They were often one step ahead and the drinks had already been pre-ordered when we arrived for dinner! Simply brilliant! 🤩 In general, all the hotel staff are incredibly attentive and very friendly! What we also found very nice in the restaurant was that the "acoustics" were very pleasant, you could have a good conversation and you hardly noticed the "stress" at the buffet like in other hotels and during our time the hotel was over 90% booked.
Pool restaurant From 12:00 p.m. you could eat something at the pool restaurant via "A la Carte". Here you could order starters, pasta, pizza, burgers, beef fillet, panini, sandwiches and small desserts. The food and quality were very good!
Beach section The beach section is clean and there is also a regular drink service there. There were enough beach loungers and you always got help from the team to move the windbreak.

We had a fabulous 10 night stay at the Iberotel Makadi Beach.
We found the beachfront location perfect, after walking along the Makadi bay curve taking a peak at all the other hotels, our opinion was that the Makadi beach had the nicest ‘feel’ of all in the area with its spacious open plan gardens, palm trees and general hotel architecture.
Room location requests are fulfilled wherever possible and our cleaning guy was both kind and attentive. The atmosphere was classy and not stuffy which it’s important to us.
As mentioned in previous reviews, we can only agree that the quality of food and dining options were outstanding, such variety and plentiful. Service in all areas was top notch. One morning for example, walking to breakfast I saw a staff member in front of me picking up a leaf from the marble pathway to keep things looking immaculate for goodness sake! - Gives you an idea of the attention to detail.
Pool colleagues kindly layed our towels on our chosen sun beds each morning, drinks service around the pool was regular so didn’t have to move for a drink if you didn’t want too!
The house reef is pretty good in certain areas, we saw many amazing fish of all colours, shapes and sizes including lion fish, box fish octopus and even Nemo! Didn’t see the turtles that were mentioned though. Just remember where you’ve put your towels and bags as when you get out of the water it’s difficult to find the hotels designated area of the beach, waterside!
The smaller heated pool was frequented the most, if you wanted a little more peace and tranquility we found the beautiful larger pool best, although this was likely quieter as the water was pretty cold so very few used it.
Very little springs to mind that we thought could improve things. Everything was so nice, all we could say really is that was a same as non smokers the reception area did have the smell of cigarette smoke every time you walked - one of the bars with an open door led off from the reception where smokers were, as this is the 1st impression a guest has when entering that was disappointing. But this is just a little thing really.
All in all we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to family or friends. A great holiday in a great hotel, great weather year round and great service.

On arrival at the hotel we were met by the concierge outside the hotel, our luggage was taken by staff and we were taken into reception and given a welcome drink and a refreshing towel. After our drink we were taken to our apartment, our luggage was all taken for us . Being a wheelchair user we had an adapted room all with grab rails, roll in shower and shower seat. There is ramps all around the complex and staff are always there to help. There are 4 restaurants and you can dine once out of complex free of charge. The food in the restaurants is first class fit for a king, no one would go hungry there something for every taste . The staff in restaurants go the extra mile to make sure guests are happy. The pools are lovely as is the grounds, all very clean. The staff around pools are very helpful. The entertainment animation team Steven and others are brilliant very friendly. Waiters are always checking to see if you want a drink when ever you are out around complex. The beach is a private one and has a wooden path and a ramp to get wheelchairs to the sun beds near the sea, again staff are there to help. House keeping is first class, towels made fancy into swans flowers etc all making it special.

After a bad experience in terms of hotel a few years ago, I came to Egypt again. On the recommendation of our travel agent at TUI we went to the Iberotel.
And it was fantastic! We arrived on the day of arrival very early in the morning well before check-in, but were already allowed to use the hotel complex immediately and first have breakfast in peace. Immediately afterwards there was already the room! Great service here! The departure also worked without any problems. Since our plane departed only in the late evening, we had to leave our room already around noon, but also here, we were allowed to use the facility again until the end. The suitcases were stored in a room next to the reception until transfer and there would even have been the option of a shower before collection.
The rooms were always very lovingly refurbished and the beach towels were changed daily. Special plus points for the loving placement of our plush companions.
The service at the hotel was first class and never intrusive. Although there are several providers of various offers on the complex (spa or experiences such as tours), all could be sent with a friendly "no, thank you" their way. The situation was different for the traders along the road. It was hard to get away from here. But otherwise we felt very safe here. Especially since only tour operators enter the Madinat itself. It was our first time in Egypt and we chose the Iberotel because of the good reviews. Our decision was absolutely the right one! The hotel is beautiful with great gardens and direct access to the beach. There are enough loungers on the beach, all loungers are equipped with parasols and privacy screens. The pool was pleasantly warm and mostly completely empty. The hotel's own coral reef is absolutely amazing and offers exactly what snorkeling beginners want. The rooms are well equipped and are cleaned thoroughly every day. Every morning there is a new great towel figure to look forward to :-) the restaurant (buffet) is very varied and leaves nothing to be desired. Even as a vegan, my plate was full to the brim every evening, you don't get such a great selection everywhere! The buffet changes daily according to themes (e.g. Asia). The cocktails are lovingly and deliciously prepared and always served with a little joke by the very friendly waiters. The evening entertainment changes daily and is fun to watch. The later DJ show is a bit boring in the long run, as the same music is played every evening, but it still serves its purpose. All in all, our expectations were definitely exceeded. Egypt has captured our hearts and we would definitely recommend the hotel. We will be back :-) Thank you for the great stay!

Top hotel! We have been there for the sixth time and it was top again, as expected. This year with our grandson David. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. David was treated so well by the waiters that he still raves about it. Reyad from the pool restaurant was at the top. Our room with a sea view was very nice and extremely well located. Right on the beach and only a few meters back to the pool and the restaurants. The food is very good, the choice of dishes is endless. You would like to try everything. Starting with breakfast in the main restaurant, in the pool restaurant, in the beach restaurant and in the evening again in the main restaurant. The beach is very nice, you can easily go into the water without bathing shoes. The snorkeling is great. We saw lots of different fish and even a ray. Contrary to other opinions, the WiFi worked perfectly. I would particularly like to highlight the staff here again. Starting with the reception, through room service, the staff in the restaurants and bars, the cleaning staff in the complex and the sanitary facilities, the staff on the beach and last but not least the gardeners and technicians. 1A feel-good hotel in a very nice, quiet and uncrowded prime beach location in its own small town complex, and only half an hour from the airport.. our super carpenter "Scheriff" always conjured up a nice ambience, very clean everything, bath towels and beach towels always fresh there, had too few hangers but in a few minutes were brought enough... great sleep, 2 pillows and great bed.. thank you Scheriff, are a top man!!

We stayed in October for ten unforgettable days in this beautiful hotel. Everything is really right here and you feel comfortable from the first minute. The friendliness of the entire staff is unique, we had not experienced this in this way. The facility is well maintained and very clean. Our room with sea view (4123) was a highlight, the service by the roomboy perfect. On the beautiful sandy beach there are always sunbeds free, a small reef in the sea invites you to snorkel. We arrived last Wednesday evening knowing not much about the hotel apart from limited research from u tube .We were greeted well,however our welcome very quickly became difficult as the receptionist spoke Germany and very little English,he couldn't understand us and we could really understand him,no welcome drink or towel we were just given an envelope with details of restaurant and bars etc, shown to our room ,and that was it.So we went off to find food and drink and then retired for the night as we had been travelling all day . It's wasn't till lunch the following day when we were asked what hotel we were in, we realised we were given no wristbands when we arrived either..The hotel is total geared up for the German holiday market all the staff greet you in German,it is very difficult to find out anything out if you speak English, especially in reception.That said the staff in the restaurants are fantastic and try to understand you when you speaking English some more than others, but they do try,Dalhy in the buffet restaurant was fabulous always looked out for us when we arrived and made sure we were seated and looked after,absolutely a credit to the hotel, also Mufasa in the pool side restaurant what an absolute star he is,they made our stay here fabulous with amazing hospitality. The hotel is kept so clean and tidy,the gardeners do an amazing job with the grounds,and the snorkeling from beach was great, which was the main reason for choosing the hotel.But it would good if the hotel is advertised to be multi lingual that more information is available in English, otherwise just advertise this hotel to the German holiday market only.
