We stayed in the Chelsea Tower at the AC Tropicana for the first and only time. There were multiple escalators not in service while getting to the walk to get to the tower. The Chelsea looks and smells like it hasn’t been updated since the 70’s. We had to have maintenance in our room twice for the clogged bathroom sink. Both of our room keys even though they were kept in a rubber room key protector had to be replaced 3 times due to them not working. Once they stopped working within 15 minutes of us being in the room, leaving and returning. We were not the only guests with this problem. The lobby to get a new key was not close or convenient.
The check in process was horrible. They have kiosks that didn't work. The ones that did work started that our room wasn't ready... at 9 pm! We called ahead to let them know we were running late due to traffic and that was a new circle of hell getting through the phone system. But we did it anyway and it took 40 minutes. Once we arrived nothing was ready. My biggest complaint having cancer is that there is NO PLACE to sit down. No chairs or benches. At the valet parking there is one bench. I found it incredulous that there is no place to sit. The room was okay, but had a connecting door to the next room where kids kept banging on it. When we return to AC, we'll definitely pick a different casino.
This was my worst trip Doris the front desk acted as though she hated her job not helpful at all. I have. Been coming here fir over 15 years and I feel as though it is time to find a new place. No pleasantries anymore staff either doesn't understand English or just hate thier job what. Happened??. My family was sent to. Chelsea fir a room we were in north tower. Doris said we were outa luck . And to top it off I forgot my ID the first time in w5 years and. She said if you whe. You can forget collecti g the winnings.even if it. Was explained nicely I would have been ok but her nastiness wS unacceptable. Nothing will happen the Chelsea room was horrible by the way.
The Hotel Was great and so was the stuff. I love the restaurants and the Casino was great atmosphere we met great people and the stuff on floors had great attitudes. The front desk was Awesome 👌 👏 🙌. I would come back and stay again and I would recommend this hotel
We spent an uncomfortable 10 hours this morning at this deteriorating property in Atlantic City. We had seen a show at another casino hotel and advised the front desk staff that we would be a late check in. When we arrived around midnight, we traveled quite a distance from the self park garage to the front desk in the South Tower. We were served by a clerk, who did not seem to have a full grasp of her job. She sent us to our room in the Chelsea Tower, which might have been a nice place to stay. Unfortunately the room was clearly occupied by several young women, who were probably enjoying the club scene in the Quarter. On Our way back to the front desk, we got to see even more of the massive property. We were given a small concession of having the Resort Fee waived and we were sent to a new room in the West Tower. It was now about 12:30 this morning and we were exhausted. We were looking forward to getting a good night’s sleep in the king bed for which we had prepaid. Imagine our surprise when we opened the door to a room that had two dirty full beds. After contacting the from desk again, we were advised that housekeeping would come to provide fresh bedding. At 1:00, we gave up, stripped the beds and tried to sleep in our clothing with a towel covering the pillow case. At 1:30, we hard a knock at the door and three young men arrived to make the beds. This was the highlight of our stay and with the exception of the hotel operator, the only competent employees we encountered this morning until checkout. At checkout a manager agreed that the hotel’s performance was not up to par and did make another concession toward refund, but not a full comp. Even at the reduced rate, this hotel is not a good deal. The West Tower room was clearly in need of renovation and was outdated.…
Loved the casino , the boardwalk , and the beach Casino had a variety of slots from older to the most up to date slots. It was very clean and in the Marketplace area you could get anything from your morning coffee to full meals at restaurants like Hooters or Hash House A Go Go. We were in the North tower rooms had a few very minor issues but bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern. Very pleased with the accommodations When we return it will be to the Trop for sure
Great Just want to thank everyone for their courteous and professional work. Had a great time at the concert OK employees great fans appreciate all accommodations. Love Tropicana the best out of all Atlantic City resorts
I spent a few nights there over the summer and always felt that the rooms were dingy and tired for a casino hotel but I tolerated it because friends like it there. I booked a comp room this afternoon in the south tower, drove three hours to get there and attempted to use a kiosk to check in several times. After the 4th time and over an hour later I was still getting the "your room is being prepared" message. I finally went to the hotel lobby desk and waited in line for 20 minutes at which point, I was told that the room that I reserved was not available. I was sent to a different room (room 635) in the north tower. Immediately after turning the lights on in the room I saw roaches scattering on the dresser top (its white and very easy to see the roaches) . I went back to the front desk and waited in line again and was asked bluntly "what do you want me to do about that"? I said check me out and refund my resort fee and room deposit charge to which he replied that I would get the refund in 5 to 10 days. I asked if it would be 5 or 10? to which he replied "your guess is as good as mine". I asked to speak to a manager and explained the situation to which she replied "you will receive it in 3-5 days but still no explanation as to why the room i reserved was not held nor any apology for the roaches. She became sarcastic and just smiled like she didn't have a care in the world. It seems like she's heard the same complaint repeatedly. I've stayed at caesars in Vegas and AC many many times and have never had an experience like this. A similar thing also happened to me with roaches at Harrahs in AC about a year ago. I wont be staying at any of the Caesars properties in AC ever again. I Took my rewards card to hard rock and they matched my tier credits and included a comp room for the night after I mentioned what happened . That's customer service. Smirking with a sarcastic look is downright condescending and ignorant. In my younger days I would have caused a scene but that's obviously the reaction they were looking for and I wasn't about to give them the satisfaction, Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.…
My 4 days vacation at the Tropicana hotel and casino in Atlantic City. Checked in on Sunday September 18th 2022. Lots of people checking out from the weekend and many people checking in for the week. Checked in late that night the room that I reserved was not available, they proceeded to give me a different room, but it was just okay. Monday morning went down to the front desk and the Kind Associate "Barbara" was able to get me the room that I requested. A beautiful king, corner suite with an amazing view of the ocean. I then proceeded to send 2 email the hotel service manager "Alicia L". on my Sunday check-in experience. Here's the Amazing part of the whole situation, Alicia read my emails and responded right back to me within the hour. She Listened, Apologized, Solved the Issues and Thank me for bringing this to her attention. Now that's "Customer Service" at its Finest!! Like to Commend Caesars Entertainment for employing "Gold Star" Manager and Associate "Alicia L. and Barbara"!! Thank You Both for making my 4 Day Vacation at the Tropicana hotel and casino in Atlantic City, Fantastic and Amazing 😊…
We had a lovely time. Our room was in the Havana tower with a nice view. Lots of restaurants and shops and a good casino. The staff was all nice. Easy to get to the beach so we spent a couple hours enjoying the sunshine and the ocean. The hotel is older but a great place to visit.
