Made a reservation for smoking room drive 4 hours to get there and they tell me they don’t have a smoking room ok I’ll take non smoking but I’m not happy about it. What is the purpose of making a reservation if you give it away. I’m paying resorts fees when I stay here don’t understand why I should have to pay to get into the pool what are the fees for if I have to pay.

Harrahs Resort Atlantic City looks breathtaking on its sites. While searching online it came up as a beach Resort. Turns out it is not beachfront. It is set up on a marina. Worst was booking it only to find out after a 400+ $ charge to my account that their picturesque pool doesn't allow kids!!! I tried to change hotels to another one owned by the same company and turns out they can't or won't use that charge as a credit. Basically it takes 2 weeks if you cancel to get your money back. Haven't even got to the damn hotel and am thoroughly disappointed. My husband will be less than understanding and likely hold me responsible for this until hell freezes over. If the same company owns a similar hotel why can't they fix this issue. Even if I had more money and wasn't on a budget I still wouldn't want a separate charge. Here's hoping to make the best out of a crappy situation. So very disappointing already. Not to mention when I tried to sign up for the loyalty program it stated that account already exists. Which makes absolutely no sense, seeing how I have never been to this place ever nor do I make bets online. I know for a fact that it was my first time creating an account. For such a huge company they sure as heck didn't seem to care about making my trip memorable. I highly doubt they are going to make up for this in anyway. Hospitality is one of those ideals that you just can't find nowadays.

My daughter and I had a (mostly) nice overnight getaway. We stayed in the Waterfront tower which was tastefully updated with a beautiful bathroom. The online express checkin and checkout process is very convenient. The hidden up charged are a bit annoying, should be better noted upon booking, especially for those that don’t frequently come to AC and aren’t there to gamble. Originally, I picked Harrahs for the spa, which was closed Tuesday and Wednesday and had to schedule appointments at another hotel (again somewhat frustrating that the spa has such an odd schedule). We attended an on site show and ate at one of the on site higher end restaurants which were both very nice experiences. We also had a very pleasant experience with the front desk, where the attendant was kind, friendly and able to get us into our room a bit ahead of when the automated system estimated. The room was mostly clean and comfortable. However, there were food crumbs in the drawers (which is gross in the day of covid.) And, I got very little sleep listening to obnoxious drunk neighbors all night both parting and then subsequently puking in our adjoining room! I had hoped to avoid those types of issues in an “upgraded” room/tower but I guess that’s just the luck of the draw.

the check in took about 30 minutes. why? everything was paid for ahead of time. our room in the tower was not available. so what do we get instead ? a view of the air conditioning units. lovely. after a long day of work, i did not expect to walk a half mile from the parking garage to the check in and then to our room. i had my cardio in already. but thanks anyway. cracks in the sealing, chipped furniture, rusty bathroom fixtures. awesome. can not wait to go back

There was Marijuana smell in some places of the hotel & lobby. There was smell of tobacco in our non smoking room. We have a pending charge of $100.00 on my credit card for no reason & was not explained to us at check in or checkout

After moving because our room reeked of cigarette smoke; we were satisfied with the new room. We were also satisfied with the quality of food and service at the American Bar and Grill which is in the hotel. But the hotel, overall, like Atlantic City, overall, is too noisy, smokey and worn down to ever entice us to return.

Harrahs stinks of cigarette smoke from the elevator lobby in the self park garage through the Sky Bridge through the escalator through the check in lobby to a filthy elevator up to your room. Upon check in we were given a room on the 5th fl. in the Laguna Tower with a view. Though a non smoking room, the room was unbearable. I called the desk and was told to go back to the lobby and go to the register desk and join the line of about 50 people checking in, even though I had already checked in at the kiosk (which was incredibly fast and easy). After waiting in line for 30 minutes I was told I had to go back to my room to retrieve my luggage and ensure that I removed all of my belongings and get my wife out of the room before they would change my room. After another 30 minutes I was assigned to a new room by the in the Bay View Tower on the 21st floor with a spectacular view of the Bay and skyline. The person at the desk could not have been more courteous and professional. She addressed my concerns with a smile and expert amiability, she reassured me that she would take care of the problem and she did. The room was considerably well appointed and decorated and larger than my previous room. The Bay View Tower elevator was clean and fresh and the smelled clean and fresh. We were just in Atlantic City for one night to meet old friends for dinner at the Borgata. I doubt we'll return to Atlantic City again soon except maybe for dinner and drive back home ( we're under an hour drive). We are Wyndham members but will have to cross Harrah's Atlantic City off our list.

I had a recent stay at Harrahs. I found a large blood stain on the mattress of my bed in the Laguna Tower. I went to customer service to contact management which is a joke, no one returns my calls. I was given two different phone numbers and each time I call, they have no record of my complaint. There was also a needle on the ground next to my car. Please do not stay here. The family pool closes at 5pm. This makes absolutely no sense if the check in time is 4pm.

Highly recommend the waterfront tower! It is a little bit further from the casino but it is definitely worth the walk. It was our first time staying at this resort and we will definitely return! Nice & clean casino. Free shuttle to the boardwalk.

We stayed in a newly renovated waterfront tower room. The room was nice, but overall the hotel seems uncared for. Hallways need vacuuming everywhere. The worst part for us was the pool situation. We looked forward to relaxing by the pool. Disappointed when we checked in at 4:30 to find pools are only open until 5pm. The main pool is beautiful but only allows ages 21+. Then we find out there’s a $20 per room per day cover charge to use the pool area. We only wanted to sit by the pool for a couple of hours. With the rates they charge for the rooms plus the additional fees charged this is ridiculous. So we decided to go to the family pool area - which is really hard to find. We get there at 9:15 (hours are 9-5) only to be told by a housekeeper in the hallway that it isn’t open yet. “Yesterday it opened at 10”. So we come back at 10-still not open & a crowd forming. Housekeeper (it’s not her responsibility to open the pool - poor woman just has the bad luck to be working on the 4th floor) calls & eventually a young man appears & proceeds to throw powdered chlorine all over the pool & then test the water. Really???!!! This should have been done at 8am before pool was supposed to open. He then lets everyone in but says “Don’t go in the water until 10:25”. There were 3 large garbage cans full of dirty towels. I asked about clean towels & he said “they haven’t come up yet” Well of course not - no one took last night’s dirty towels down to the laundry! No one cares and obviously no one is in charge of this overlooked pool area. It’s sad and shameful for a nice resort like Harrah’s. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
