It was ok. Nice break from the boardwalk area with a nice view. Parking was a pain across the street and through the convention center for $20 (but it was well lit and staffed at night). Hotel staff was great. Lobby is nice. Pool was closed. The rooms were dated and kind of dingy, definitely in need of a refresh. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. On the surface looked ok but the. We saw hair in tub and the corner of the bathroom. The rug was clearly not vacuumed since I found a toenail (GROSS). The walls and rugs have stains. The chair had what looked like a food stain that I used a wipe to clean myself. There is no makeup mirror and the lighting in the bathroom in insufficient, and mirror too far away to apply makeup. Water pump made a weird noise. The curtain had stains all over it. Bed was comfortable and sheets clean although the pillowcase had a rip in it. Outside windows were very dirty to the point of looking hazy. Housekeeping began knocking on our door at 9:30. We were sleeping and didn’t hear it and they attempted to come in. They came back at 10:30 even though checkout is at noon- came to find our that someone mistakenly checked our room out early. Maybe I need to rethink my expectations of cleanliness and what we get for our money now, because it seems the entire industry has changed. Less amenities and cleaning for more money seems to be the new theme.…
Excellent stay! Brief visit to AC. Hotel is adjacent to train station/ convention center and outlet shops. Also a short walk through outlet street to beach/ boardwalk and casino resorts. Bonvoy Platinum membership recognized, club level was very nice, plus gift shop, cafe and restaurants all onsite. Clean room and comfy Sheraton bed. Will definitely return the next time I’m in AC!
Benefits - Near the outlet mall - Reasonably priced - Guest Services was very responsive. I called to request some items twice and the person was at the door within 10-15 minutes. - Bed was comfy Things To Keep in Mind - If you come without a car and plan on spending most of your time at the boardwalk or boardwalk casino hotels know that this hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from there (Caesars and Bally’s) and my friend was not much of a walker, so we wound up taking Ubers and taxis a few times especially in the evening. - Hotel needs updating. There were several wear and tear signs in the room. The price makes up for it somewhat, but if this hotel doesn’t start renovating in the next couple of years they will definitely start to loose customers.
September 14, 2022. Overnight stay. Pros: The check-in experience was excellent - - the employee who handled my check-in was welcoming, friendly, and professional; on-site indoor parking directly below the property; common areas are clean and well-maintained; the room assigned to me was clean and well-maintained; the property is within walking distance to many outlet stores and restaurants. Cons: The property is outdated and needs to be renovated. The room assigned to me was drab. The pillows need to be replaced.
I was underwhelmed and a bit disappointed with the accommodations at one of the flagship brands of the Marriott corporation. The decor is very out of date. The air conditioning wasn't effective in keeping the room cool. The mattress sloped towards the center from use and the pillows were also in need of replacement. Not the usual comfortable bedding available at the Sheraton. This is also the first Marriott brand I've stayed at that charged for the Continental breakfast. On a positive note, the entire staff was exceptionally friendly. That alone I gave an extra star for.
I agree with some reviewers that the fixtures in the rooms were definitely dated but otherwise, they were clean and tidy and did not impede on our much needed rest. The front desk was very busy during check-in but the staff managed the crowd efficiently and in a friendly manner. Even the housekeeper wished us a good day during our departure. I enjoyed seeing the Miss America memorabilia in the lobby and the hotel's proximity to the outlets and the boardwalk added to the enjoyment of our trip.
I give this hotel 4 stars mainly for the staff and my experience with their customer service. The hotel is in perfect location to the convention center but is in need of some upgrades. My son was playing basketball at the convention center so we were there for 3 nights. My stay was not without issues but the Night Staff Tammie and Security Sean (spelling), and the day Manager helped make my stay wonderful. Sean went above and beyond to keep me laughing during a very frustrating night at the hotel and helped me move my and my families items to the another room. I really appreciated his time, care, and concern for ensuring everything was perfect before he left and went back to his duty. At a time where customer service is lacking in many industries it was really nice to see that Tammie and Sean were still upholding the Marriott Standards. Sheraton is lucky to have them. I hope by the time I come back they have received the renovations they deserve because I would love to stay again. The breakfast buffet was a nice touch and it was complimentary depending on your elite status. The parking is accross the street at the convention center, if you do self parking, so make sure you drop your bags at the hotel upon check in, and then park your car. The restaurant attached, Tun Tavern, is mediocre. We really didn't enjoy the items we order. Not sure if that has anything to do with the Sheraton or not.…
I was charged a $50 fee for my service animal after I advised the front desk that my pet was trained for a disability. I shared the ADA's website on service animals and specifically directed them to the Q & A section that pertained to my disability. They stated that my service dog was considered and emotional support animal and as such, the fee still applied. Extremely disappointed in Sheraton and will not be returning for this reason.
HORRIBLE Experience! I’ve been a Sheraton/Bonvoy member for over 20 years. I booked a club room because it offers breakfast, snacks, other amenities that we enjoy. First the room, which your paying a premium for any was dirty, the ceiling was a filthy yellow. The front entrance to the hotels revolving doors looked like a car smashed through it. There was no breakfast I found out, but a voucher to use at the Starbuin the lobby where all you. An get is a muffin. Normally not a big deal but this should have been noted ahead of time on the website. I wouldn’t have booked the room then knowing this. Never once was I greeted as a loyal member, as I have in all other Bonvoy hotels. Staff just doesn’t care. The fact that management has let this hotel turn into such a delapated state is mind boggling. Im actually think of going back to my credit card company and withhold payment because they didn’t deliver on anything that was promised. My advice, stay in one of the casino hotels. You’ll have a better experience. And as for this place, the only improvement would be a wrecking ball. Demolish and start over.…
We had a great experience. We were very appreciative to get in the room early too, as we were working the Rock n Roll Race EXPO across the street at the convention center. Self Parking was very easy. I got the park n stay package. And the garage was always under supervision by security so I felt safe leaving it there. Except for a few hiccups when we got to the room (which they took care IMMEDIATELY) , we had a great stay. Beds were comfy, and it was quiet !! We will be back!!
