We took a short visit to Chengdu last December before our vacation to Thailand. The Millennium Chengdu is located within a nice neighborhood with decent Chinese restaurants. The hotel duty manager and Concierge offered all informations we needed for city tour, such as the panada breeding center、old pedestrian street and so on. We had a wonderful stay there. Considering what you pay for what you get,the millennium Chengdu would be a good choice. Hotel bedding was superb. Room was not so spacious but ok.

The city of chengdu is much bigger and developed than we thought. Thus getting around would be a challenge sometimes as Google map doesn't work out.We had very detailed guide from both the duty manager and Concierge. Their services were impressive. The hotel is located in the south of the city with 2 metro lines within walking distance. A park and a walking street are 2-3mins walk. The room is not so spacious but very comfortable.Would come back if we have the chance to revisit chengdu.

We were on a business trip to Chengdu for a week during October,2019. The staff we met everyday were generally polite and helpful. That really impressed us caused they showed genuine hospitality. The only issue was not everyone could speak good English. Anyway we can enjoyed the stay.

Security would regularly not allow us to enter because we were non-Chinese. 8 people walking in at the same time, the security consistently only stopped us. We were guests, the others were not even guests in the hotel. We told the Duty Manager, Oscar, he made excuses for the security, and Oscar even went as far to tell us that he did not care if this impacted our stay and would influence our future stays. I asked to speak to the General Manager more than 8 times, I was promised the GM would contact me; the GM never contacted me.

If you look for a good hotel in Chengdu, this is can be one. Nice lobby and rooms, very good breakfast with many choices, western and Chinese. The bed is very comfortable and slept excellent. I used the sauna and the jacuzzi, very good.

The Millennium in Chengdu is truly amazing, for the foreign business traveler it's such a treat. Great food service with lots of options especially for breakfast. The rooms are top tier quality but very reasonably priced. The Millennium Hotels in China are in an upper tier from the Millennium Hotels in the US. The rooms are designed with great detail, with recess lighting that turn on and off depending on how you move at night. My only regret is that I couldn't spend more time in the hotel during my business trip. My favorite place to stay in Chengdu for sure.

I spent a week at the Millennium Hotel in Chengdu and enjoyed my stay very much. It is very much what you would expect from a 4 star chain hotel. Excellent facilities, pleasant and helpful staff and a reasonably hassle free stay. As others have noted it is next to Starbacks and a short walk to the nearest subway station Shenxianshu on Line 7.

There is a lovely park right opposite the hotel where you can see people exercising each day. Try to get a room overlooking this park.

Although on a reasonably busy road, my room on the 10th floor was perfectly quiet.

The staff speak English, although one of two staff did struggle to understand my accent at times. I ate in the restaurant for breakfast only once and there was a good mixture of Chinese and Western food, although with much more variety on local food as you would expect.

If you have business in this part of Chengdu - which is some way from the city center - I would recommend this place.

bit out of the way but a nice neighbor. hotel staff are great, welcoming and accommodating. room is a bit on the small side with only one chair but the bathroom is great!

be careful with the breakfast buffet, is on the high side; mine was not including but the staff told me that it was, got a bill at check out and wow!

Did I mention that I just LOVE this hotel? No honestly it is just great; you are welcomed by an extremely friendly staff (who speaks really good English by the way). Large reception with the main restaurant on the same floor. The check in was efficiently done and quick. Rooms were superb; bright, comfy beds, modern - with all you need right there (coffee and tea, water, fridge). And the bathroom; separate rain shower and big bathtub. All amenities provided of course. Rooms were quiet and zircon working perfectly fine as well.... Room service is exquisite so was the "buffet" in the main restaurant.
The hotel is outside the city but one can find many restaurants in the surroundings as well as a HUGE Carrefour about 15 minutes walk. And of course; (for those who have read my previous reports: I found a movie theatre showing English/International movies also 15 minutes walk away!). If you like to jog well there is a rather big park right across the road: no bikes, no cars just walking paths .... So very safe. I like the vibe in this city; it is expanding at an incredible [ace but there is still a peaceful - relaxed mood to it)

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly to guide you wherever you need to go.

one "minor' thing; the wifi (like in many places in China) is not the fastest one would like it to be.

But overhaul cannot wait to go back...

I was here two times this year and had a comfortable & pleasant stay that was nothing short of great hospitality and warmth.

At both the times, I was on a business trip & stayed in Millennium’s Club Deluxe Room which comes with a some exclusive benefits including access to their ‘Executive Lounge’ on 13th Floor as well as getting all the personalized attention from the staffs. To name a few – personalized check-in & check-out services, all day complimentary snacks & beverages at the lounge, , late checkout, instant laundry service with some discounts etc. The Wi-Fi is high speed and I could browse HD videos, make video calls without any lagging ever.

The Club deluxe room is quite spacious, clean and elegantly maintained. Washroom has a rain shower which was amazing. And if you happen to need anything else, they will provide you happily -- I really liked this. TVs have English channels so you miss out the entertainment.

Morning breakfast includes both Chinese and western food and remain open until 10.30 am and late on weekends. It also has two restaurants and a bar at the ground and first floor which are full of regional, asian, and multi-cuisine dishes. The one I likes the most was Malaysian Curry and is a must try.

Gym & swimming pool are well maintained and have world class equipments and remain open from 6.30am to 11pm – although I would like if they could start a little early like 6am.

The hotel staff is very helpful and always willing to cooperate.

The surrounding area is “Shenxianshu” and is one of Chengdu’s most prominent places with high-rise residential apartments and greeneries. There is a Starbuck just adjacent to the hotel & a happening place called “Zhi-Shan Pedestrian Road” full of colorful pubs & bars, restaurants with some great music and people dancing at weekends. This is also a favorite place among expats in Chengdu and I had some good time meeting people from other countries as well. A must go weekend place.

Nearest subway station is Tongzilin Station which is just a 20 min walk or 10 min by taxi. It is on central line and from here, within 10min through subway; you can reach Tianfu Square - the center of Chengdu. The Carrefour is about 2 kms from the hotel but there are few ‘HongQi Chain Store’ just adjacent to hotel where you can buy all your daily needs.

Overall I enjoyed both of my stays here and the places around it and would like to come back again soon!

No, Millenium a little out of the way so either a good walk and metro or cab. Hotel very good at getting cabs and very cheap. For Chunxi road consider Crowne Plaza Central or Nocolo or Rhombus Park. Hope this helps Greg
