Stayed here one night on business trip. Room is a little small and light in bathroom somewhat insufficient, ladies will have a hard time applying their make up.
Noise outside caused by ongoing construction across the road. Not located in city center but has good choice of restaurants within walking distance. Adequate for short stay.

I stayed for a conference and enjoyed the hotel. Great rooms, well situated and good service. Recommended. The staff were very helpful after a taxi driver tried to rip me off. Helped me report the incident to the police.

Good location next to the square, plenty of reasonable eateries nearby.

Rooms are clean and fairly modern. Staff do not speak a lot of English but proved to not be a problem. Breakfast is quite good with Asian and Expat choices.

I would stay again

Stayed here a few times over the years, whilst the staff are all wonderful and very friendly unfortunately the hotel is showing it's age and could do with renovating / rejuvenating.

With 3 new hotels opened within the past year or so within cooee they need to lift their game. The location and ambience are great it's just a very average hotel at best.

Rooms are comfortable and clean but the furniture is aged and worn out, the step in bath is from the dark ages. The buffet breakfast has improved since my last visit but this also looks tired.

Far too many other choices in the area now.

Not value for money anymore.

Dirty. Wipe feet on way out. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the money but assume it is aimed at budget level. If you want a place to lay your head you’d probably do better by putting it straight in a puddle.
Bath the size of bucket - shower at about waist height - no hot water.
Carpets dirty - smells of previous smokers.
Breakfast woeful not worth the bother, coffee very average.
If they threw a tonne of money at it i imagine it could be so much better especially due to its location - slap bang in Seaworld. But until they do give it a swerve.

Check in 22 and out 25 Jan.
Hotel is a low rise building at Sea world (Sea World is basically a food eateries venue, not the theme park).
Plenty of restaurants around and a train station just besides.
There's a shopping mall (3mins walk) and supermarket at basement.
Hotel is quite old. Air quality in my room isn't good and i had to open the window for ventilation (not sure what's the problem but i had housekeeping to spray air freshener).
Safe didn't work. Housekeeping was prompt in both requests.
Room size is acceptable and adequately stocked amenities, including toilet. Bed and pillows ok.
Breakfast spread is not fantastic but ok.
Wifi signal ok.

1. Spoilt for choice on food.
2. Shopping is limited. (Unless hop on to train and move to other stations).
3. Hotel is old. But stay-able.

I stayed at the Honlux apartment for a month and in general a very pleasant and convenient apartment at Sea World. Within walking distance (basically stepping out of the front door) there are restaurants, shopping mall and pubs for all types and flavours. The room was on the 3rd floor and at the Sea World side which had the disadvantage of being very noisy on regular occurrences. The room had a bar fridge and kettle but no cooking facilities. In general a comfortable stay for an affordable price but the house keeping/cleaning wasn't great. The breakfast is a fantastic westerner buffet and watching CNN during the meal.

The Honlux Apartment hotel is a solid 3 star right on Sea World Plaza which is expat-central Shenzhen. Check took in a little longer than it should have because of the search for my visa stamp. English was fine. This is a converted apartment building (thus the name). My room looked out directly over the plaza and was average size for this class hotel. It was a non-smoking room but it still had a little staleness. There was a small sitting area, average size flat screen TV, average comfort single bed, and a few items in a basket mini-bar. They provided two free bottles of water and, a nice touch, two tiny Toberlone candy bars.
There is both construction and entertainment going on outside, and though there is soundproofing, it does not quite get it all.
The bathroom was smallish with corner shower, single sink, and granite counter tops. You will get the full set of Chinese hotel amenities you would find at better hotels.
The internet was free and fairly fast.
The hotel is right on Sea World plaza so expect all of the western restaurants, both chains and styles, that you would want (including upscale prices). The hotel is steps away from the Sea World metro station and one metro stop (with short bus connect) from the Hong Kong Ferry. On slow nights, you will find 4 star hotels for the same price.

Good service, room size is good, always hot water, and a nice buffet breakfast! The staff is nice and professional. I'd like to recognize Fish at the front desk for always taking good care of me and always smiling!
Internet is a bit slow, but otherwise, would recommend this hotel.

This place is located a 1 min walk from Sea World metro station. Restaurants, bars and shops are right on the doorstep. This was a real bonus for my husband and I who were visiting for 1 night from Hong Kong.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. I'd say it is around 3/4 star. Bed was really comfortable and the bathroom reasonable - it was a little on the tired side though. Flatscreen TV with western channels CNN, Discovery etc. Toileteries provided. Excellent free wifi connection. 2 bottles of complimentary mineral water provided.

Service was friendly. Blackout curtains were good and room was opposite side of sea world so was quiet. No smell of smoke that you get in Chinese hotels sometimes.

We did have to ask for an extra towel as this hotel is primarily a business hotel with 1 occupant in the rooms usually I think. This was rectified whilst we were out.

I'd recommend this place as a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Shenzhen.

I don't know that this hotel offers transport to HKG. There is a ferry (5min drive from the hotel) that goes to the Airport. You will need to find out the sailing schedule and see if it fits with your flight time.
