Very nice hotel in terms of location and price. Overall, it was safe, clean, and pleasant. I am an IHG Spire Ambassador member and it was a pleasure to be recognized. They upgraded my room to a junior suite, late checkout till 16:00, and it was nice to get the complimentary drink voucher as well as the Spire 60 RMB food credit. Yet, what I like most was the courteous and professional service from everyone at the hotel. From security to the check in desk to the lobby Western restaurant, I felt welcomed. Also, thank you to housekeeping for doing a good job cleaning the room. Very nice stay. Nanshan Book City Mall Station line 9 and I believe exit C is the closest exit to this hotel.
It was 9:30 am, I’m still sleeping and someone knocked on the door and ring the bell. I said I’m sleeping. And then she ring the doorbell and knocked two more times and woke me up! It’s only 9:30am, and my checkout day isn’t for one more day. Normally, the cleaning lady shouldn’t disturb me because they got the checked out rooms to clean first. This experience completely ruined my sleep and ruined my day of business meetings. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
The location is very convenient, the breakfast is very good, the staff are very polite, all in all, it was a very good experience and we may come back again，I will remember this pleasant trip,and I am very happy with that.
Fantastic Staff, especially at the Front desk. Nice clean room with a great restaurant. The concierge service is great. Reasonable price, great Quality/price ratio. 5mn walk from the subway station, and 20mn from Shekou ferry terminal
I stayed in this hotel 2 times on business travel. The location is perfect which is not far from the Shekou port. This hotel is a 4 starts hotel and the maintenance is still good. It has a very big lobby and friendly staffs. Check in and check out was fast. Room was specious and cozy. Bathroom was clean. The view from hotel was great. While the room is considered comfortable, the dinning was not as good as the room. The breakfast variety was same daily and the taste was average. It need to be improved. The room price didn't include breakfast and I've to pay addition CNY 110 for daily breakfast. It is not worth the money paid for.
Convenient location with easy access public transport. Nearby the hotel has plenty of restaurants and malls. Hotel room is clean and comfortable. Hotel service staff are friendly. The bar at the hotel lobby is cosy and nice.
今年在深圳，香港，上海，布吉島和首爾都住了好多次ihg酒店，從intercontinental, crown plaza, indigo, holiday inn 到hix都住了個遍，這是唯一一家我覺得ihg應該把它deflag 走的酒店，真的差到加零一。 今天剛好有朋友從澳門來深圳，因為離家近，所以就選擇了這家東華假日酒店。這間酒店是有設置club lounge的，但是即使是spire elite都要付費進入，IHG是規定Crown Plaza和Hualuxe會給spire elite行政酒廊待遇，Intercontinental 則是另外收費，Holiday Inn這個品牌我之前住過的一間酒店都是開放給spire會員，要不就是本身沒有lounge，唯獨這家有但是要收費。其實這些規定本來就有些模糊不清，但若果能清楚向會員解釋清楚那也是understandable的。但是這家酒店的前台絕對令人嘆為觀止。我一開始提出質疑時幾個agent都解釋得不清楚，然後告訴我，他們的大當副理正在吃飯，他答應了給我買一送一的早餐，要不等下他來給我解釋？？？？？Excuse me????你在吃飯客人在前台等著？吃飯時間你要吃飯客人不用吃飯？後來我生氣了，說大堂副理吃飯那你就叫你們今天的MOD出來解釋吧，一般週末作為一家國際品牌酒店都應該有一個excom member，即senior management level的人值班，以應對突發事件及一線同事無法處理的投訴，然後正在吃飯的Alvin Zhou終於出現了，一上來就告訴我，這是業主公司管理的規定，我又再次？？？？？？業主公司是東華，管理公司是ihg，你前台受僱於管理公司，然後現在直接把責任推給業主公司？？？跟著我質如果你lounge不對會員開放，是否應該在預定的頁面或者conformation letter寫清楚？隨後這位Albin打開app，給我看member benefit 的terms，上面寫著CP和Hualuxe有，但沒有寫明Holiday Inn有還是沒有，有些酒店給，有些酒店不給，算是灰色地帶，但每間酒店都不寫清楚。然後他給我的回覆是，這是IHG的網站，我們也沒辦法，你可以打給會員中心投訴。全程傳達的訊息就是，我們酒店規定就是這樣，你要投訴就打去會員中心吧，我能做的就是這樣，the end. 我覺得這個position的人empowerment 很不足夠，解決不了問題也解釋不清，我再問，你們是否有更高level的MOD在，答曰，他就是in charge everything 的，沒有人了。如果這是真的，那這間酒店就太離譜了，週末晚上沒有資深管理層值班，可想而知，如遇什麼天災人禍的突發事件，例如火災，就凭一個大堂副理來處理全局，是多麼可怕，客人的安全能有保障嗎？如果，這不是真的，他們當晚有資深管理層值班，但我這只是小小的會員權益的糾紛，他們認為無需驚動管理層，那這間酒店就真的是一間bureaucratic 到極點的管理，你要知道，即使是general manager，在服務業也是一但服務人員，在大堂也要幫客人拉行李的！如果有MOD當晚在值班，我只能理解為這位管理層高高在上不想處理客人投訴。我是沖著ihg這個品牌去的，不是你一間破酒店，一間20多年的老酒店，配上傲慢至極的服務人員，還有什麼資格掛著ihg的牌？告訴我他是in charge酒店所有事情，但都是業主的規定，有問題請向會員中心投訴。 隨著我已懶得再跟此人計較了，因為根本不是貪他一個早餐，我們早上也起不了早去吃，只是要一個合理的解釋，換來就是一個不斷忽悠的答案。回到房間，更可怕的事情發生了，一拉開落地窗帘，落地窗的槽以及玻璃上積了幾寸厚灰塵，說是工地現場一點都不誇張，起碼半年沒有清潔過。cleanliness 差到極！再叫來那位Albin，他提出換房，當時已向會員中心投訴，要求酒店回覆，便外出吃飯了。外出三個小時完全沒有人聯絡我，直到我吃完飯，再致電會員中心，要求senior的管理人員回電，過了十幾分鐘這位Albin又再次回復，告知週一才能有管理人員回電，隨後再一次東拉西扯，在電話中說，我覺得我們和會員中心已經向你解釋得很清楚那個條款，app上也寫得很清楚，言下之意就是難道你這麼蠢這都看不懂嗎？你房間有灰塵我已經送了一個果盤給你道歉了，這個果盤比歡迎水果大很多呢，言下之意我都給你水果了你還想怎樣。這盤水果一眼望落簡直不敢恭維，橙子還是發青的，我叫他你撤走給回我正常該有的水果，別像我佔了你什麼便宜一樣。但是我此刻早已不care那些benefit ，我也用不上，我只是對整個事件從入住，到房間，和這個服務人員的處理方法及態度十分不滿，一副濃烈的老油條的樣子，感覺像是和社會小混混在討價還價，後來我實在沒有心思進行這一個不在同一水平的對話，等候週一他們所謂前廳部經理的回覆。我別無他求，不需要任何額外補償，純粹要把這種爛經歷分享出來，預算鬆動一點的請到旁邊中洲萬豪，預算差不多的住旁邊亞朵，如家或者Kempinski都不會這麼嘔心。…
Very comfortable, this time with friends, very late check-in, the front desk staff is very sweet, and a small towel. We also had help with our luggage, which was very comfortable. Walk 10 minutes to the coastal city, the geographical position is great 👏 next time will have the opportunity to come to live!!!!!!!!! Shopping is also very convenient!
Me and my wife have come down here to spend the weekend from HK where we are based. This is the first time in my life where I am writing a review when I am still staying at the hotel (normally it is a few days after we check out). So you can imagine how frustrated I am! Just for the record stayed at room 2212 from 26th July for 2 nights. Have just woken up after a frustrated first night. I am an IHG gold elite member. Normally in any holiday inn across the globe, the IHG members are given a very nice welcome by the front desk where they thank you for being part of the club, generally give you an upgrade, etc etc. Nothing of that sort here. An extremely cold welcome where the person at the front desk couldn’t even speak proper English. Two issues that I want to highlight with the person who stands at the main door. He was probably the rudest of the lot - a short gentleman wearing a white shirt and glasses at the main entrance of the hotel. Normally, in any holiday inn, that staff at the main entrance is supposed to help me with my luggage. And help doesn’t mean just pulling the luggage out of the trunk and leaving it there; but helping me take it to the lobby, if not the room. This genius just takes the bag out of the trunk of the taxi, leaves it there and walks away. After we checked in and went down for dinner I asked this gentleman to get us a taxi. He makes an absolute rude face with a smug and gives back a look that says what are you talking about. When I asked him for a taxi again, he just points and blabbers something in mandarin. The my wife, who speaks mandarin, asked him the same. Even then an extremely rude response that go to the concierge. That’s it. There were three taxis that whizzed past our eyes and all this guy had to do was wave themin. But he didn’t. And the worst part was his attitude. Even though we are guests treating us like trash. And he absolutely did this on purpose as I cannot believe that a person cannot understand the word “taxi”! We will be going out today and if I find him misbehaving today as well, I will call the cops. Let’s talk about the room size. I have stayed in holiday inns across APAC. A suite is generally a lot more spacious than what it is here. The room seems quite old. The bathroom design seems out of place and vanilla. I mean the name is holiday inn but the quality seems to be worse than a holiday inn express The fridge in the minibar doesn’t work properly. We checked in at about 10:45 pm. Then went out for dinner and came back around 1 am. Had left the room key in the slot so that the AC as well as the minibar keeps running. The beers weren’t even cold when we came back. The minibar doesn’t work at all!! And now let’s come to the primary issue. The AC in our room. Well I haven’t seen an AC in my life where I am allowed to set a temperature to 5 degrees. I am basically from Dubai which is one of the hottest places in the world when it comes to summers. Even there no one sets temperatures to 5 degrees. And the worst part - while I can set the temperature to 5 degrees, the room is not even cold. Couldn’t sleep the whole night as the temperature in the room continued to be around 24 to 25 degrees! I saw some posts from other guests on a similar issue and they are absolutely right. I have a question for the manager here. If your staff doesn’t like expats, please say so openly. We won’t come here. Secondly this is not a mainland Chinese chain of hotels. Holiday inn is an American brand. So the minimum courtesy your staff needs to have is to speak English. And if your staff has an issue speaking English, why don’t you guys go work for some local Chinese brand ?? You don’t mind earning your salaries from an American brand but you don’t want to speak out language. That’s funny! So overall an extremely disappointing experience here. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone at all. Especially the expats - please stay away from this place. Rude staff, below average rooms where the ac and mini bar don’t work properly, and nothing special at all. Please stay away my fellow expats!!!…
Hotel looks not very new, however the services are very good, especially the front staff and lobby staff. They warm me as I back home. Good hotel.nice service. I will book this hotel on my next trip as well.
