I’ve been here a few times now at the weekend for brunch. If you buy the voucher on the hotel’s WeChat app then it’s RMB288 for the Cafe Zen buffet including three hours of wine (Prosecco, red, and white) or beer. You can buy the voucher after you’ve sat down so no reason to pay full price. Buying the voucher requires Chinese skills so if you don’t speak it then prepare in advance by searching for the hotel’s WeChat app and finding the pre-paid vouchers. You want the RMB288 voucher but staff can help you on the day to make sure you buy the correct one. Barbecue, sushi, seafood including lobsters, British roasts, and an extensive buffet of Chinese main course dishes, noodles, etc. Highly recommended for brunch in Futian.

I was here for three days at a conference so used the guest and business facilities. The building delivers a pretty bulletproof experience when it comes to meals, rooms and facilities. The hotel helped me arrange a minivan transfer from HK and there's a border crossing not far. The hotel is a five minute walk from a shopping mall but the immediate location is in an office type precinct. Always comforting to see a fire escape mask in the closet! Tip: Getting a cab to LoWu border crossing to return to HK was a bad idea as cab dropped me in no mans land late at night. Choose a more certain drop-off.

This was my first time staying in the Futian Shangri-La despite visiting other hotels during my multiple visits to Shenzhen. However, this is the BEST hotel in all aspects. First is the quality it exudes and offers. Second was the amazing attention to service (thank you Ms. Eva for completing my St. Valentine’s request to my surprised girlfriend, and the rest of the Horizon Club crew for the warm hospitality!). Third is the excellent location near multiple malls, shopping areas and above the second biggest subway station in the world (bet you didn’t know that 😉) Lastly, the incredible amenities in the room: exquisite views, luxurious features and overall plush accommodation. The executive suite in floor 39th was spectacular along with the many extravagant options it had. This hotel is highly rated for a reason, already one of my favorite Shangri-La in China. I will definitely try to come back often whenever in the Shenzhen area! …

I don't usually write reviews, but this hotel warrants a glowing one. It was a fantastic weekend away. The hotel is in the perfect location, room is comfortable. Amazing views. Great saunas and hot tub and pool; amazing gym. Staff that couldn't do enough to make me happy. Thanks to Peter and all of the staff in the Horizon Club. Highly recommend upgrading to Horizon on arrival. You don't need to ever leave the hotel if you just want to relax. Perfect!
