My husband and I loved to stay at the Popular Residence Hotel. The rooms have a good space and are very pleasant. The employee Keam was responsible for our service during the 3 days of our stay. She was always very attentive, concerned with the our well-being and, as soon as we arrived, she explained to us about the city and about Angkor. On the last day she even presented us with a scarff signifying the wish for happiness and good luck for us. Thank you, Keam.

One of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Kim, our concierge for our stay, was incredible, making each day more special than the last. The rest of the staff went above and beyond to make our trip truly memorable. We’ll never forget our time at the Popular Residence. As other reviews say, the location is the only very minor issue with the place. There isn’t much around. But when they give you a free tuktuk into town, the quiet and chill vibes of an evening at the hotel more than makes up for it. The lobby is charming and well done. The rooms are just plain lovely, with excellent balcony and seating. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. The breakfasts were excellent as well. We were doing some online work while there, and ate often from the restaurant. Room service was no additional charge, and the food was very nice. They also have a nice little happy hour in the evening. But it was really the staff that made this place special. THANKS KIM FOR ALL YOUR HELP! We love Siem Reap and this place.

Please make sure you meet Mr. William. He went above and beyond to make sure our trip was extra special. He had great recommendations on where to visit and even upgraded our room! We fell in love with Siem Reap and the extra touches and kindness really helped make this a highlight of the vacation.

Stayed for 4 days there & really enjoyed the experience. The hotel room was clean & big. The beds were comfy and aircond was cold. The staff was excellent as they provide you with any request like packing meals for sight seeing if you unable to eat their morning buffet. Buying the bus ticket to Phomn Phen without any extra charges. The most touching was when the staff gave us a parting gift of Cambodian scarf to each of us. Nat the host of our stay at the hotel was excellent and warm and explained all the tips while staying in Siam Reap for the first time to avoid being conned. Only downside did not get the free airport pickup & the big construction going on next door. It can get pretty noisy but a few swigs of beers will take care of that.

I booked this hotel based on some of the great recommendations it had gotten. I was quite disappointed with overall experience. First off please note that as of writing the hotel is right next to a large construction site. Construction work starts from 7 in the morning to 7 in the evening during which it can get very loud. Although I had explicitly requested a quiet room, I was put in a room right next to the construction site. I requested a different room which I was given. I noted the following deficits: Pickup from airport not offered; no welcome drink although promised; at times no hot water, electricity or wifi; aircon swing broken; on the first day dirty pool; too much chlorine in the pool; balcony plants dusty; table sets in breakfast room dirty; general need for repairs and paint/varnish. On the plus side, the modern rooms are big, the beds are comfortable and the staff is helpful. However, in order to earn its stars the hotel needs to put a little more effort into it.

We stayed at Popular Residence Hotel on 4 and 5 February 2020 and we enjoyed every bit of our stay here. The service that we received from the hotel staff was exceptional - especially Khim - our personal assistant. She provided an amazingly high level of service and  ensured that our visit to the city of Siem Reap was a memorable one. For her, we would love to be the guest of this hotel once again during our next visit to Cambodia. This hotel is little away (1.5 kms approx) from the most happening part of the city - The Pub Street. However the hotel compensates that by providing complimentary Tuktuk service.

Kim, was amazing. She provided an amazingly high level of service. The hotel rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean. We stayed in a first floor room with an outdoor shower and bath and really liked it. The bed was comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good. The included, breakfast was good as well. I was nice to sit around to pool, enjoy happy hour and take a dip to cool off. The property is about 1 km out of the main center but the hotel provides a shuttle to get you downtown and tuktuks are only $2. I would definitely return.
