I stayed at the Ramutan for the fourth time last year and found that it was as good as my other visits, demonstrating that important quality in hospitality of consistency. The staff are very efficient, attentive, friendly and always happy to assist, without being obsequious, They seem to do a comprehensive briefing at shift change, because someone on the afternoon shift was fully aware of what I'd asked someone on the morning shift.
The very comfortable rooms are kept immaculately clean and well serviced and I really like having a lounge room and balcony in addition to a bedroom. The decor is well thought out and unique to the villa.
The bespoke "Khmer village" style villas surround and overlook the cooling garden courtyard and pool, where I spent time recuperating with a drink and swim after a busy day out at the temples. Adjacent, just near reception, is an undercover area where the included breakfast, with plenty of choice, is served.
There are always some "approved" tuk tuk drivers on duty in the laneway just outside the hotel and Rambutan can also arrange moderately priced private tours to some of the more distant sites.
The centre of town is a quick 10 minute walk away and there are plenty of decent restaurants in the hotel's immediate vicinity.
In answer to the question would I stay again let me say I'm currently planning my next trip and a 10 to 14 day stay at Rambutan will definitely be on the agenda.

...with this place. The location, the staff, the service, the rooms, the spa, the pool and the attention to detail shown in every aspect of the experience. This is truly an oasis in the somewhat dusty and messy beauty that is Siem Reap. It’s in the center of everything, but still secluded and private. The staff will make sure you feel right at home and you will be hesitant to leave the hotel area because even the food compares to the best Siem Reap has to offer. A true pearl. We will stay here everytime we come back to Siem Reap. We would actually book a journey just to stay att this hotel again.

I love coming to the Rambutan Resort and Boutique Hotels in Siem Reap, I have been coming here for many years. It is tucked away in a quiet lane within short walking distance to the centre of town, old market, restaurants etc. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the staff so friendly and helpful. The buildings are a charming style of architecture and most rooms have sweet little balconies draped in bougainvillea and greenery that overlook the pools. The rooms are all air conditioned and have fans and breakfast is included in the price. There is excellent wifi. I highly recommend a stay here.

The upstairs rooms at Rambutan perch above lovely traditional tiled roofs and boast traditional French tiles and stunning palm wood and woven basket decor. There’s even a stone Formica tub on the verandah if the saltwater pool below in a lush garden doesn’t tempt you. The staff are excellent, the kitchen and the bar make delicious food, and the atmosphere of being in an old wooden house is only tempered by the delights of air-conditioning…

I cannot recommend the Rambutan Villa more highly in terms of exceptional service. After a late evening arrival in Siem Reap at a different and unsuitable property (included within a tour package), I was thankfully able to refer to a friend's itinerary from 2018 which stayed at the Rambutan Resort. An early morning email to enquire about availability was responded to within the hour, and a taxi was arranged by the property to collect me. I was enjoying a welcome drink from the lovely staff all within 90 minutes!
The pool and dining area of the villa rooms is very peaceful and designed beautifully. I was initially allocated a villa with an upstairs bedroom and bathroom which was reached by a very steep staircase from the downstairs lounge area. I was concerned about luggage accessibility so was quickly provided with an alternate room with the bedroom and bathroom downstairs. There was absolutely no noise or disturbance from any of the other 7 villas in the compound, and the design style within the very clean room was lovely.
Breakfast and light meals were delicious, and the staff arranged a breakast pack when visiting Angkor Wat for sunrise.
All of the staff I interacted with were very friendly and extremely engaging. They are a credit to the property. Special mention to Liny who was a delight to meet and speak with over the three days.
Thankyou Rambutan for turning my stay in Siem Reap around from an unsuitable property to an amazing boutique oasis. I hope to re-visit and will highly recommend and refer to other travellers travelling to Cambodia.

The standout feature of this Hotel and Resort would have to be the staff. They were the most friendly, accommodating people one could wish for from a hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were always smiling and happy to engage in conversation. Special shout out to Liny and Mayom. This small hotel/resort offered so much more than a stay at a more impersonal larger or chain hotel.
The hotel itself is situated in a quiet lane away from the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap but within walking distance of everything, including Pub Street and local markets. It has a wonderful atmosphere. The rooms are all situated in garden surrounds around the pool which made it very peaceful. They were beautifully clean, spacious and comfortable. Some rooms have the bedrooms via quite steep stairs above the living area so these would not be suitable for people with mobility issues.
The restaurants at both the hotel and resort were beside the pool and having meals there was such a pleasant, relaxing experience. Breakfast was included in our room price and the food was always fresh and delicious. It was not buffet style but a la carte and always delivered fresh with plenty of options from which to choose. The restaurant menu offered a range of choices from local to western.
We spent a wonderful week there and would love to return.

Wonderful Stay!
From the moment we inquire via an online platform – in a split of seconds, a response from the hotel received! One of the reasons we choose to stay here for our holiday!
Wait, there’s more! Our check-in was easy and very efficient, our tour arrangements to Kulen Mountain was arranged by the front desk team, our 2 complimentary dinner reservations – Yes! not one but two, complimentary dinner for 2 adults – arranged by Rambutan Hotel in line with their Chinese New Year Promotions, until the day of our departure – it was absolutely flawless!
The staffs are very friendly and warm; the service is beyond expectations, the ambiance the hotel room it’s very relaxing. The location of the hotel is a 10 minutes walk to the Pub Street too.
Special thanks to Mr. Long,Ms. Mayom & Mr. Rotha (thank you for the yummy cocktails :) ) ,to the Chef- thank you for the mouth-watering food! To the housekeeping team and to all the staff of the hotel – Thank you very much for accommodating us, it was an escaped to remember!
See you soon!

It always feels like being welcomed home when we visit Rambutan. The staff is amazing! They go all the way to make sure you have a wonderful time. Breakfast is delicious and you can pick and mix whatever you like from the menu. Afternoon cocktails at the pool were a true highlight with the spicy and strong Kamput Martini as our all time favorite drink! The manager Tommy gave us also great suggestions for places to eat and to visit that were a bit off the beaten track but really worth visiting. We hope to be back soon!

I was a return guest to Rambutan and as always I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were very filling. As well as that "in house" meals were good. Offering the choice of two swimming pools is an added bonus. This venue is a short 5 - 10 min walk from the Old Market and Pub Street where one will find just about everything one needs and a vast variety of small [and larger] restaurants.

This wonderful botique hotel is a true hidden gem, literally. It is located down a quiet lane but very close (walking distance) to the center of Siem Reap. Besides being a beautiful property, the staff could not have been more kind and helpful. It was by far the most welcoming and positive experience of all hotels I stayed in during 3 1/2 weeks is SE Asia. My room was spacious and comfortable with a view of the pool from a balcony. The restaurant served delicious food and drinks as others have praised them about. Breakfasts were OUTSTANDING. The hotel arranged for me to have driver, Vernak, who took me to Angkor Wat and and an additional day trip to temples 2 hours from Siem Reap. He was excellent and also acted as a guide at times. Hotel staff also arranged for a massage on the property. One of the owners was especially helpful with restaurant recommendations. My only regret was not booking more time at the hotel and Siem Reap.

Dear foodloverdc, Great to see your feedback! It is too nice when people truly like to travel and explore. I think that you did the nicest things you can do in a few days in Siem Reap, but, I think staying for a week or more gives enough time to explore all. The city has too many nice activities, temples, restaurants and bars that you can easily spend a week or more. Many guests return every year, just for that. Thanks again and I wish you more happy exploring, and hope to see you back someday, Dirk

Hello Susan, Sorry i just saw this question. It may now be too late to help you. The rooms at the resort wing all have balconies. There are several sun loungers and I was always able to get one, however I imagine if all the guests in the resort wanted one at the same time it could be a problem. There are certainly more than 6 loungers!

Dear Tina, The Royal Angkor Resort is not very far from us (13min tuk tuk drive), we sure can organise a pickup by tuk tuk for you. At the moment we don't have spa facilities on our properties, we therefore bring our guests to a professional spa nearby where we work together with. Feel free to ask more questions direct to us via e-mail following the link on our Tripadvisor page from Rambutan Resort - Siem Reap. With kind regards, Tommy

As far as suites are concerned. The hotel is basically French colonial style, its not modern, all glass, sharp edges. There are, double rooms., but I don't think you'll get suites. The resort is on 2 levels.
