We booked a bungalow unit in Angkor Royal Resort and Spa. We were given free upgrade to a villa. The villa was very big. There were 2 rooms, a dining hall, a kitchen, a living room, 3 bathrooms. We only used the 2 rooms and main entrance hall. As the hotel just reopen in May, there were a few staff in the hotel. A chef, a waiter, 2 staff at the counter and 2-3 staff to clean the room. We loved the BIG swimming pool as most of the time, we were the only people using the pool. It was kind of a private resort just for you. The staff could have been more courteous by greeting all customers. Only the hotel managers and waiter were polite. Also, on the last day of the room service delivery of breakfast, the waiter told us the amount of tips to give him. I was shocked as tip is optional if staff showed good services. I did give him tips for 1 set of breakfast delivered daily but if asking for how much tip to give, I think it is not very nice. I don’t give graciously as his services was not good. Since waiter asked for it, I gave it to him as seeing their earning is not a lot. Breakfast was not good, not consistent in services. Hotel was not near to city Center nor food stall. Depends on your expectation. If you want a big hotel but only a few staff n average services, having a personal ‘private’ villa then u can consider staying here.…
Stayed here at the end of our Vietnam & Cambodia trip and what a wonderful hotel to end on. Stunning rooms, lovely pool, excellent food and staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Would definitely go back. Thank you for a lovely relaxing stay!
I had a spa in January 18,the staff serve with very good service.i cant speak Khmer, luckly ,there is a lady can speak Chinese over there. 我一月份在暹粒转机，大众看到这家spa不错，就去尝试了一下，还有一位女士可以讲中文，服务环境总的来说不失所望，毕竟是以golf和spa打门面的度假村。酒店转了转也不错，貌似也不贵。
As perfectly stated by other reviewers: “Worth every penny spent. Good rooms, service, facilities, breakfast, and poolside menu – all perfect. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are large and the beds very comfortable.” We had a room in the center wing, with balcony. As we stayed five nights, this was nice. Some reviewers mention the location as a problem, but this is not an issue. The hotel is not located within walking distance from the city center, but they offer an almost hourly free electric shuttle (photo) from the hotel to the center and back. The ride takes some 15 minutes and is actually quite nice. Also tour operators – like the great people from Siem Reaper – offers pick-up at the hotel. The hotel can also arrange airport transfers – the distance is less than 6 kilometers, but there is no jet noise at all from departing flights. We highly recommend this hotel, given a chance we would return.…
Worth every penny spent. Good rooms, service, facilities, food all perfect. Enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi , suna. There is pin drop silence and perfect for family. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Place near pool has some mosquitos, but it so close to nature that it's possible to get rid of them. Morning buffet is good and overall service is good. Don't miss to see their gallery area. No complaints, Worth every penny spent. Good rooms, service, facilities, food all perfect. Enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi , suna. There is pin drop silence and perfect for family. Coming back again.
This is a comfortable hotel with wonderful, friendly staff who really go out of this way to care for their guests even when there are some language barriers. The hotel is a little bit out of the town, but that is not necessarily a bad thing -quieter, more spacious, and the hotel shuttle bus works fine - especially the Xmas decorated golf buggy-tuck tuck :-) the restaurant is great quality at a good price, the swimming pool is stunning in the afternoon sun, the spa is nice. Rooms are good, some are a little bit old and show their age, and you are best not to pick a room on the highest floor (aircon tower might be above your head) but overall good quality. Wi-Fi was also good.
Was really looking forward to staying here but was welcomed with Luke warm water. Nice room but overlooked road. Slept ok and food was good. Pool and surrounds were lovely but Luke warm showers was disappointing. Due to remote location to centre and restaurants ate at hotel which was ok but nothing spectacular.
After a very long flight the comfortable bed was very welcome. unfortunately the room was very warm and we were unable to adjust the heat The second day after we complained it was fixed. Excellent breakfast included in the cost of the room.
This is a very nice hotel. It is not in the town center but a cheap and convenient tuk-tuk ride will take you anywhere you want to go. Because it is outside of the downtown area, there is room for the lovely grounds with a huge pool. The breakfast buffet was great and there is lovely seating outside around the pool as well as inside. The spa was quite nice too. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay here.
I visited the Royal Angkor Resort and Spa the second week of October, with a Saga group of 26 women and 2 men,I found the facilities very good ,the restaurant and all staff were brilliant, would like especially mention Reena she was so helpful and informative ,would definitely stay at the Royal Angkor if I visited Cambodia again .Kind regards Don.
