I was staying at this hotel as from January 4 th to January 8th.,2020 The place is very well maintained. The cleaners come and clean the rooms every day and the room was kept clean. One issue i had was they were supposed to come and pick me up at the air port to the hotel even i informed them several times via e-mail.No one did not come to the Air port for nearly half an hour then i took the TukTuk to the hotel and paid out of my own pocket. When i reached the hotel i complaint to the Manager the next day and he was very apologetic, friendly and refunded the money back. The Bar,Restaurants, chemist and other shops,Pub street and the Night market is very near by.I usually walk to all these places.Overall the place is more convenient and located at the center so easy to commute.I was sole traveler and the stayed. The breakfast was good too.I will recommend to any new or frequent travelers this hotel …
Spacious and rather quaint and kind of old fashioned. Nice friendly staff. and quite nice breakfast included. well kept & clean, comfortable beds, but lounge chairs rather large and not very comfortable. BUT attractive. interesting plants in garden, and a nice swimming pool
Does not look as portrayed in pictures. Service was terrible. We were moved twice, neither room was what we booked and paid for. Lied to about reasons for unavailability. You get what you pay for but we were over charged 150%. As per other reviews, it has a good location, that’s it. We have travelled extensively and have never had as bad an experience.
Stayed here for 4 nights in November 2019, with a friend, as part of a two week holiday in Cambodia. This place is wonderfully located - it’s on a quiet street, which is full of fabulous bars and restaurants. It’s a 10-15 minute walk (or short tuk tuk ride) to Pub Street and the night markets. The hotel is basic but clean, with comfy beds, and all you need as a base to explore Siem Reap. Staff are friendly and there’s a great (and very clean) pool at the side of the hotel which is fabulous for cooling off after a hot, humid day. There are also sun-loungers if you need to relax after a morning spent exploring the temples! Would definitely recommend this little place and would stay again.
Good location within walking distance of the night market and plenty of restaurants. The room itself was clean with a bedside lamp and minifridge. The provided breakfast is modest with the options available at the time of my visit being three different egg meals with bread. Only issues were the low water pressure in the bathroom and the fact that if I wanted the room cleaned I would need to notify staff and leave my key at the desk.
Back in Siem Reap for 4 visit in 3 years and continue to stay at this warm and friendly hotel. From welcoming greeting by the owners to daily chat with Mr Kim at the desk it continues to be great value for money. Keep up the standards and we will be back.
Clean enough and friendly staff. Pool was OK. Good location. Strange decor. Food was adequate. Good assistance with tour organization. A bit noisy at times. Good value. Recommended. Would probably stay again.
The Side Walk Hotel is nicely located, around 5-10 minutes walk to pub street and the night market. However the rooms are really run down, there is no night lamp, the water pressure is extremely low and the furniture is about to fall apart. The "free" breakfast is also really poor: fruit salad is a tiny plate with bits of fruit on it and both coffee and tea taste and look like brown water. The pool is nice and clean though and the owner and his wife are nice people.
I was recommended this hotel by a friend and was not disappointed - clean rooms, great pool, hot water, reasonable showers, and breakfast thrown in. The breakfast is a lot better than over the road, but there is an excellent bakers very close that sets the local breakfast standard. I’d put this in the category of mid to upper back packers hotel. The staff are very welcoming - they will organise any transport for you - and plenty of places to organise trips. Good location, and good value. They have some strange rules about using the AC that is not clear, I was picked up for running the AC at night, my room was a ‘fan only’ which I never noticed when I booked, worth checking when you book.
I enjoy sitting under the tree in the corner in front of the hotel, shooting the breeze with long term guests, owner's friends who live nearby every afternoon. No worry and be happy. I definitely will come back to stay at this hotel again.
