My boyfriend and I had stayed here for two nights for the room of Cabana suite with pool access, and we have a very enjoyable and pleasant experience here!! :)

The staff here are super super super friendly and helpful who helped arrange the free car to pick up us from the airport and to change to another hotel. They gave us a warm welcome when we first arrived the hotel and also tried to prepare the present to us. Super thanks to Susy, Manit and their teams!

The room is also very nice that we could easily get access to the swimming pool and enjoy the sunbathing. However, as we are so close to the hotel, there is also some insects in our room but the staff helped to solve it out. As there’s not many room in this hotel, it makes you feel like you are living in a small community. Since we just spent two nights in this hotel, so we don’t have enough time to try the spa here.

Compared to our stay in other hotels near the Old Market, this hotel is really quiet which gives you a very pleasant ambience. Even though it is slightly far away from the Old Market and Pub Street, it just takes USD 2 and around 10 mins to go back to the hotel. Meanwhile, it is closer to the Angkor Wat so we went back to the hotel to have the free breakfast after we watched the sunrise in the Angkor wat.

Overall we had a memorable experience here and this hotel is really valuable for money. :)

If you want to visit Siem Reap's temples, this is the perfect place to stay....located between downtown and the Angkor Archeological Parc, a real gem. A beautiful garden and a great pool invites to relax after a busy temple day. The rooms are nicely furnished and you will have a quiet sleep, which is important if you want to join one of the sunrise events. I had a great Tuktuk service; Ang Vi Mean was an excellent guide and driver all in one. I highly recommend him. He speaks good English and has a good sense of humour.

We really enjoyed this area in Siem Reap. The hotel helped to arrange transportation to many attractions in Siem Reap including many to Pub Street area and an all day trip to Angkor Wat Ecological Park. The areas around the hotels and rooms are very quiet. The pool area is in a pleasant and the breakfast (included) was satisfying. The breakfast restaurant operates as A Manger for lunch and dinner and offers many great food choices including a great prawn salad and salad rolls.

The hotel staff are all very kind and welcoming. After a hot day in the city they welcomed us in the lobby by blasting the AC and fans on us and brought us cold water! The hotel staff also helped us get a sim card and booked an excellent Tuk Tuk driver to Angkor Wat for us. They will also have a driver pick you up at the airport and will message you to confirm your arrival time.

As my title says a true hidden gem!
This hotel is completely off the beaten track in the middle of nowhere but don’t let this put you off!!it is so peaceful away from the hustle and bustle. For 3 dollars a tuk tuk will take you into main town which takes about 10 mins.On our arrival to Siem Reap we had a lovely man called Mark collect us free of charge from airport he filled us in on everything we would need to know on way to hotel.
The staff here were absolutely amazing so friendly and nothing was too much trouble we discovered it’s a government run hotel to give young people the opportunity to work and they all definitely wanted to work and please there guests. Rooms are lovely very spacious kept spotless and bed was very comfy especially the pillows which I’m very fussy about!! We had a pool access room which was fantastic. Very good breakfast in morning with a good selection and if they didn’t have it out just ask and they will sort it!! We were lucky enough to find a very good tuk tuk driver on our first night who we then kept for our time there to take us to temples etc he was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. Sorry this is long but we really did have a fantastic stay have already recommended to others whilst away and will continue to do so we will definitely be back.
Oh and don’t be scared to have a walk around the local village the people were so friendly

Great value and great staff! Airport transfer is included and I was surprised that there was not one but TWO people to pick us up. We arrived late and the hotel was quiet but every staff person we encountered was so attentive, especially Baray- he took the time to explain everything despite the late night.

During our stay, I needed assistance making a local call for an spa appointment and a staff member came to our room with a mobile phone and assisted with translation.

The hotel also arranged for a driver to take us to the temples for a fee that was conveniently added to the room.

Our departure time was before breakfast time but the hotel was accommodating and opened the restaurant early to ensure we could eat before we left.

Everything from beginning to end was lovely. 4/5 due to minor details like small seating area for restaurant, location of fridge in room was underneath desk. Would have liked a full length mirror. All in all, nothing major to complain given the great value. Definitely recommend! And thanks again Baray!

This hotel with wonderful staff is really to recommend.
Our goal with the trip was to see Angkor Wat, and then this accommodation is very good for both getting tickets and visiting Angkor Wat.
Not too far to take a tuk tuk to Pub Street if you wish.

We are very pleased with the Grand Venus la residence both with the breakfast and the nice and clean room. Also the food we eat at you was good.
And your help to fix tickets and tuk tuk.
Thanks to Emily, Jassica, July, Susy and the rest of the staff you made our visit very great😊👍🙏

I had high hopes for Grand Venus especially after I had read the many five and four star reviews of the facility. The property itself is very quaint and well-maintained and the concierge Thomas is very attentive and courteous.

However I ran into a number of small issues throughout my stay that ultimately detracted from the experience. There was quite a few flies in my room that made it an extreme annoyance waking up with bug bites. The wifi was extremely unreliable and for the majority of the stay did not work. The shower water in my room was only cold, while in my friends room they ran into an opposite issue where it was only hot. Speaking of hot, the room takes a very long time to cool down with air conditioning. Make sure you put a napkin in the card holder inside your room to keep the ac running or else you will be walking into a very hot and uncomfortable room after a long day at the temples. We were looking forward to the included breakfast as well but it was apparently another covid casualty. It's closer to Angkor Wat and the temples than it is to the city center so keep that in mind when booking. For meals you will have to take a tuk tuk because there is nothing in the general vicinity (it's on a side street on a dirt road).

My room was also supposed to have a balcony and fireplace but I was placed on the first floor with neither. Again, the property itself is beautiful but this is clearly a facility that has been stripped bear due to covid cost-cutting. I personally wouldn't return until the rest of the benefits do as well.

Despite a three hour delay we were given a warm welcome at the airport and taken to the hotel where we were greeted by Suzy (watch out for her sense of humour) She talked us through the different options for temple tours in a helpful way without feeling like she was pressuring us into any particular trip. We opted for sunrise at Angkor with a driver (there were 5 of us) followed by a ‘grand tour’ in the same vehicle with a registered Cambodian guide.
The hotel room was very clean and comfortable, the bed was huge and pillows super soft. The pool was salt water and large enough for a decent swim although it was quite shallow.
The breakfast was quite good with a range of options and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
All the staff were fab throughout our stay and made it a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.
We also met a lovely Tuk Tuk driver (Mr Ngoy I think?) who took five of us all over the city on our second full day.
Apopo landmine rats, Phare circus and the crazy golf to the south of the city are all worth a try (we were travelling with two 10 year old boys) and there are plenty of locally owned and/or charity run restaurants and cafes to choose from to ensure your tourism isn’t just going to big corporations. (E.g. New Hope and Footprints)

This charming little hotel is conveniently located within 10 minutes of the main temple of Angkor Wat. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a great restaurant with local and international dishes, a wonderful spa that offers massages to soothe your tired feet or achy body after a day of walking around the temples, and tastefully decorated interior and exterior decor. The hotel also has great outdoor pool and lounging area to relax in after a long day of sightseeing. We spent four nights here in mid February 2020 and couldn’t be happier with our choice. If you decide to visit this incredible place in Cambodia, please don’t look any further than Emily and the staff at the Grand Venus La Residence to ensure a wonderful stay. They were always attentive and worked hard to make sure we enjoyed everything about our stay. We would highly recommend!

I agree. We stayed in a pool access room and it was nice to walk across to the pool. The pool access rooms also have a patio, which was nice.
