My wife and I had a magical stay at Jaya House River Park. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed for 4 days and only wished we had longer. They provided the highest possible level of service in every respect. Highlights included unbelievable breakfasts and daily massages. They handled many travel arrangements and requests. We especially enjoyed our tour with Chhoub and great tuk tuk driver Mr. Vanna and van driver Mr. Shy. Bunchhang was a great driver/guide as well! Special thanks to staff member Ms. Phor for being so welcoming at breakfasts each morning. Cannot recommend Jaya House and Siem Reap overall enough. Would even recommend a stay during rainy season as we did as there was only some rain each day and very few crowds. Thank you for a great stay!…

It’s been a long time since I felt so impressed by a hotel and that’s after an awful lot of pretty luxurious travel over the years. We arrived to a welcome that started with ‘welcome home’, cool towels, hand san and big smiles. Our bags were whisked away and the GM sat us down with a drink of choice. As we’d been travelling for a few weeks, I instantly got the passports out. Stefan looked at me and asked why they’d need them, coupled with ‘we do things differently here.’ No word of this was a lie. So, where to begin? Food, excellent- fresh, homemade (the homemade bread - one of many highlights), salads delicious and again super fresh and the dressing on the house salad off the scale. Other dishes equally memorable, cooked with love and passion. On a note to the outstanding service a lot of guests do an early start to visit the temples at sunrise. 4am is about it - and is the hotel deserted? No, a smiling team member is waiting to make you a hot, proper coffee or tea, and then another one to go if required. Unbelievable service. Just a note for other Anglophiles - the best cup of tea in Asia, enough said 😄 Staff? Amazing ninja service. Great recommendations for restaurants, always a smile and a cheery greeting and utterly friendly whilst the quality of training in hospitality shone out. We got thanked for choosing Cambodia by one of the young ladies on the team and that really stuck with me. As the GM said, they really want to serve the visitors and are thankful we are there. One particular young man - Ang - was brilliant (not that the others weren’t!) but we took him to heart and nicknamed him London as his English teacher was plainly a North Londoner and his accent shone through in Ang’s excellent English. I felt (as a North Londoner…) right at home. His, like everyone’s, attention to detail and desire to help exceeded our already high expectations. Accommodation is spotless and luxurious. We had a ground floor pool/garden access room with a French door straight out onto the courtyard smaller pool but the larger sun drenched all day pool was just outside the front door… a comfy bed, a large bathroom with shower and bath and just comfort from start to finish contributed to this impeccable hotel. I don’t want to highlight the completely unexpected ‘free’ benefits as standard that the hotel offers because that is to trivialise the underlying superb quality of service that this exceptional hotel offers. However it’s quite literally like a home from home and you couldn’t feel more welcomed or more like you are part of their family than you do. Literally an incredible sensation and the ethos runs from the top right through the team. I wish we had just stopped right there and contemplated our future very slowly. A massive highlight of our long journey through SE Asia and we shall return without a shadow of a doubt.…

The whole place is so tranquil. The rooms are beautigully furnished, beds so comfy and the bathrooms luxurious. The saff are quite simply...superb. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is provided with a smile . The food was good too. We are a family group of three generations and every need of ours was perfectly met. The food is also really delicious. Cant recommend this hotel enough.

My wife and I spent 3 days at Jaya River House for part of our honeymoon trip to Cambodia. Located about 10 minutes from Angkor Wat, this beautiful boutique hotel provides you with sustainable luxury that is the perfect retreat from 10-hour temple trekking days. Many resorts / hotels charge you for anything they can — that is not the case at Jaya House. You pay for the room, but you get a daily spa treatment, breakfast, laundry, and unlimited rides in and around Siem Reap. Sam, our Jaya tuk tuk driver, and Suphira (spelling might be wrong), our tour guide through all the temples and the Cambodian floating village, were incredible — specifically the latter whose knowledge of Cambodian temples, Buddhism, and Hinduism seemed to me to be only paralleled by his passion for the same subjects. A wonderful hotel! The warmth of the service and genuine hospitality from all the staff was remarkable from the moment we were met at the airport and throughout our stay. As Christian said to us when he greeted us at the hotel “we do things differently here”. This was as far from a typical “corporately run hotel” as it is possible to be - very high standards throughout but delivered in a personal and thoughtful way. The staff all keep the hotel spotless but a special mansion to Samnang for how immaculately he maintains the public areas. The hotel has a strong environmental focus (no single use plastic) uses local products wherever possible and has many initiatives to support the local population. We would love to return.
