My friends and I stayed at Le Chanthou in January 2021 for 2 nights and absolutely enjoyed our stay! We wished we were able to stay longer but unfortunately we couldn’t, hopefully next time! The owner/staff were very friendly and helpful(: I had a slight issue with my room and they fixed it immediately. We booked the room with a private pool and it was bigger than I expected / bigger than other hotels I saw that had private pools for a really good price! I hope that this year will be a better year for everyone so that you guys can enjoy a your time in Siem Reap as much as we did! Thank you Le Chanthou!
Le Chanthou Boutique Hotel was perfectly situated in a safe, quiet residential neighborhood adjacent to the bustling, high-traffic tourist area. As such, we were close enough to access Siem Reap Central and the madness of Pub Street via the hotel's courtesy tuk tuk but far enough away to avoid all the noise and hoards of people. The hotel and grounds were constantly being cleaned and visually impressive and inviting. The staff were totally accommodating and extremely friendly. They even accepted some suggestions and constructive criticism. As an example, during one of the several times we had dinner at the hotel, we noticed that their large plants were covered with dust, as was some of the woodwork. We simply mentioned our observations to the manager, and the following day, the restaurant was immaculate. Since we regularly enjoyed white wine with our meals and during sun breaks by the pool and non-touring days, the bar staff always had a cold bottle for us in the refrigerator...very nice. Breakfast was included, with made-to-order entrees, fresh fruit, etc. and was quite tasty. It sometimes took a while because everything was freshly prepared, but we just enjoyed our teas, coffees and juices for laid-back morning dining. Although it was easy to go to the Pub Street tourist heaven for the myriad of sit-down restaurants and food carts which we opted to do several times during our stay, we also chose to eat at the hotel for some dinners. We especially enjoyed the Khmer foods like the fried rice in pineapple and red chicken curry, but as westerners we appreciated being able to get fresh, mixed green salads which were wonderful. Snacking on spring rolls by the hotel pool was also a treat. We needed to book several rooms because our brother joined us on the trip. The Premier Suite overlooking the hotel pool was not too shabby, but for us, the King Suite with adjoining private pool was absolutely amazing. It was great to be able to enjoy a bottle of wine by our pool before bedtime and after a full day of touring. Their room rates were surprisingly reasonable for what we considered to be a first-class property. For Siem Reap, Le Chanthou Boutique Hotel certainly deserved more than their three-star rating, and we look forward to booking there once again when we return to the area.…
We stayed here just before the Covid-19 broke out and we had to get back home before things started shutting down. We're so glad we could stay here. The hotel grounds were lovely. Staff are truly outstanding. Genuinely kind people who aren't just there for business. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good with a decent range of options. We plan to return to Siem Reap when the virus pandemic eases. You can guarantee this is the first place we'll look to book.
My friend and I shared a twin room here while we stayed in Siem Reap and it was nothing short of perfect. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was great and the service was amazing. The staff and team were so friendly and helpful, especially organising our tours around Angkor Wat and the other temples in the area. The breakfast was fantastic, as was all the food in the restaurant and the pool was a great way to cool off after exploring! Our stay here was everything we hoped for and more and I will definitely be back next time I visit Cambodia!
We spent 3 nights there, the rooms are spacious and simple enough to feel like home but the employees really do their best, and always with a smile, to content you do you feel you are in a 4 stars hotel. The restaurant is also good and the swimming pool is perfect to relax after a day of visits
