Nita by Vo Angkor Resort, Trip-advisor Traveller's Choice 2019, 2020 & 2021 Winner, set against a backdrop of lush Cambodian countryside, the minimalist Nita by Vo Angkor Resort is a low-rise retreat with modern flat-roofed architecture. Inside, the 25 villas make for elegant, clean-cut spaces and sit around an infinity-edged pool. Framed by swaying palm trees and other flora, they offer quiet repose from the region's many attractions. Just a tuk-tuk ride from Siem Reap's centre, you'll be well placed to explore the once-dusty-village's impressive Old Market, buzzy bars and boutique shops selling Cambodian-made fashion and homewares. And with the extraordinary Temples of Angkor nearby too - an unskippable sight for any visitor to Siem Reap - this luxury resort puts ancient landmarks, idyllic pastoral landscapes and the country's most urbane destination all within easy reach.

We have been traveling through Asia for the last three months. We have stayed in homestays and five star hotels. We read the 5-star reviews below and honestly don’t know what previous travelers have experienced but our stay was absolutely not 5 star, 4.5-star or even 4 star. Though it pains us to leave this review, as the staff at the Nita by Vo Resort was kind and hospitable, it is for our fellow travelers that we do what we must. It is, at best, 3 stars and that is somewhat generous. As many reviews say, if we could leave zero stars I would but I will explain why we are giving this resort 1 star (the only one star review in our entire three months). We had originally booked a suite with a private pool, though when we had to change our reservation to one less night, we downgraded to a junior suite which was still supposed to be lovely. We were given a room, which though big & clean, looked tired. A back door to a garden that wouldn’t fully close at the bottom, a garden with nothing in it (no chairs & table as featured in listing) except for wires hanging down, a shower head that was leaking, no hot water, no hair dryer and, most annoyingly, some LED recessed lights that flickered the entire time (which we asked to have fixed when we arrived and were never fixed for our 2-day stay). We tried to phone the front desk to check about the hot water but dialing “0” wouldn’t connect. Even worse, we found out that we were the only 2 guests at the entire resort and this was the room they gave us when there was no one else in the entire place. The whole resort looks like they just gave up on maintenance and is about to close down. The pool looks nice in the pics, but it has crumbling tiles around the outside, the chair cushions had ripped seams and the towels they left for us were frayed (remember, we are the ONLY GUESTS). Two of the ponds near the “restaurant” were so filled with algae that bugs were starting to accumulate on the surface (very yuck). Breakfast was, at best, mediocre. Again, we have had some limited complimentary buffets in our three months traveling and fabulous breakfast at homestays, but this was just sad (only three choices). In addition, they couldn’t figure out how to turn on the lights in the dining room, so for two mornings not only were we alone, but it was without electric lights and no music. Upon checkout, we asked the GM why, given that we the only 2 guests in the entire resort, we were given such a janky room. “Because any other room is a different price, more than what you paid,” he replied. We tried to explain that we might have had a better experience if we had a better room, but his English wasn’t good and it just didn’t compute. Sadly, we don’t think he understands the basics of hospitality but he said was looking forward to the few guests they had booked for the month ahead. Finally, the resort is pretty far out of town (about a 5-10 minute ride on a motorbike/tuk tuk) so you’ll need to either pay for transport every time you wish to go somewhere or rent a motorbike (which we did for $20/day; expensive compared to motorbikes in other countries). Overall - skip this “Resort”, find a better place in Siem Reap and enjoy Siem Riep and Angkor Wat.

Dear HarrisChan_10, Thank you staying with us 2 nights recently and thank you for your value time spent on sharing this review. We always thrive for excellent and that customer feedback is really vital for our team. We always take feedback seriously for our improvements purpose. Since the border re-opened and international flights re-operated, we have re-opened our Resort to welcome international travelers whose are our main markets. We are sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your stay with us, and we hope that you could share with us during your stay so that we can take action immediately. Our Resort is located about 7 minutes from the Old Market (Pub Street). Quiet and relaxing atmosphere plus personalized service is our DNA since the day 1. We are always thriving our best to offer the best experience possible. We have read your feedback carefully about the breakfast options which we are offering a set menu (American Breakfast, Continental Breakfast and Asian Breakfast). We focused on personalize service and order-to-cook breakfast instead buffet breakfast, which we have mentioned clearly in the booking voucher as well as on OTAs partner (Agoda, Expedia, booking.com and Ctrip….ect). Re-opening the hotel and resort after the pandemic is the hardest work for every hotel and resort world wide, and that manpower is one of them. Since it is lacking of experienced manpower in the hospitality industry so far, therefore we are offering the under privilege students and fresh graduated students a job opportunity. Once again we thank you for your stay with us and for your review shared since we always welcomed both excellent and bad review with constructive critism so that we can learn from both for our further improvement. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. Sincerely yours, The Management

My family stay at NITA BY VO ANGKOR RESORT in Siem Reap was absolutely wonderful! My kids really enjoyed the private pool and the special surprise birthday amenities that were arranged. I would like to compliment team for their help arranging the birthday amenities and a room on the floor. They really made our short stay truly incredible and we felt like home away from home. The front desk team that checked us in was also very helpful! Also, the Food was amazing too! Thank you everyone.

I have been stayed in this resort for 6days, perhaps it’s long vacation in Siem Reap not only temple, but I enjoy my individual time at resort where I enjoy to make swim 🏊‍♂️ well. Step up at front desk at reception all are friendly and available to assist. They all are willing to answer and well assist event not ask. I can say, they are friendly and offer warm hospitality experience. I have enjoy breakfast 🥞 where I could make order of my own favorite food and staff also available to assist and make good coffee for me everyday of my own extra mile. Since I work late at night, staff offer me extra coffee ☕️ , I don’t think I can’t ask for more. I definitely would not hesitation to recommend others traveler 🧳to enjoy your vacation if you come to Siem Reap and you won’t be regret if you choose Nita By Vo resort.
