Currently staying in club room 529 in WA the palm. This is due to being booked in the WA RAK which we were informed was closing for renovation so paid a premium to switch to WA the palm. Sadly a very disappointing arrival to find our request for a room close to family not met. I do understand this isn’t always possible but for a hotel of this size you would expect it to be possible. I had also alerted them that we were celebrating a birthday yet the decorations were put in the wrong room even after informing them whose birthday it was. I was informed my family have been upgrade to be on the same floor as me which is club room level but obviously no access to club lounge. Still unsure what the upgrade is, maybe it is because they are on the 5th floor so they think the view may be better?? There couldn’t be a worse view as you will see from the pictures, however the guys who brought our bags assured us we had the best room on the floor…………. We are overlooking construction site and the noise is unbearable, so much so, we cannot sit out on the balcony. Rooms appear smaller than those on 4th floor level with the balcony considerably smaller. We were informed by receptionist that there were no other rooms available to move to, however, after asking a different receptionist there appeared to be another room available which was over a busy road plus it was 9pm and a fair bit further from family so did not move. Today we have been offered to move tomorrow afternoon which just isn’t worth it now given we will only have 1.5 days left. Standards are low, no fruit or chocolates in room which is normally standard and sadly we have had to query why we didn’t receive them. The power and air conditioning keep losing power and shuts off which is really annoying. Family’s room……… air conditioning is broken and stuck on 25 degrees. Nothing but a sorry and get on with it from management. This is how they treat repeat guests I guess. …

Hotel's Favourite
This hotel never disappoints which is why we keep returning - this was our fifth time. Familiar faces on arrival who recognised us from our previous visits - they really looked after us. This hotel is like a home from home for us. The hotel itself is classy and facilities are just what we need. We received 5 star treatment throughout our stay. Location - the hotel is on the Palm and after spending some time near JBR I’m so pleased we continue staying at this hotel. It’s away from the madness and allows you to retreat to a calm relaxing environment. We could quite easily not leave the hotel but nevertheless we did to meet friends. We ordered Uber taxis and they are so reasonable. Reception - warm welcome with a cold towel, welcome drink, thorough explanation of the facilities and a big smile. Pearl Club Room - the most amazingly comfortable bed and Bathrobes. The complimentary toiletries by Aesop were amazing. The room was spacious, clean and had a fabulous view. Housekeeping did a fabulous job cleaning the room - twice a day which was very much appreciated. Pearl Club Genuine VIP treatment from all staff which is why we always select this option in addition to our room. The food and drinks options are fantastic. The staff, including the chefs, go above and beyond in Pearl Club. The canapés are delicious and the breakfast offerings are fantastic - the pastries in particular are delicious. The whole lounge deserves recognition but a few people we’d love to mention who really are amazing and looked after us: Sagar, Mercy, Evelyn, Saba, Jennifer and Umesh. Thank you for everything, you’re all very special to us. Poolside Every day all staff looked after us. There were days the staff would, unprompted, set up the same loungers for us each day! This was unexpected and we were very grateful. Cold towels, sunglasses cleaned, a hose down with ice cold water fragranced with Jasmine and regular top ups of ice cold drinking water - made our pool visits special and comfortable. Palm avenue staff were always on hand if you required food - which is delicious. One observation is the staff run about so much I’m not sure how they do it in that heat - and they’re always smiling and ready to help. A few people who really looked after us we’d like to mention: Perara, Thomas, Sasi, Donesh and Sagar. Thank you so much for everything. LAO The food here is exceptional, as is the service. We ate here three times during our stay. Eshan provided fabulous service and really looked after us - thank you. Eshan asked for a picture with us one evening then on our last night, placed a card on our table with our picture on it along with a thank you from all the staff - so lovely. All the staff are fantastic, including the chefs. Mezzerie The restaurant has a different theme night every night - we tried each one as we stayed for 2 weeks, it never disappoints. The Head Chef remembered us from our previous visits and was always keen to ensure we liked the food. He’d always make a point of saying hello. If you wanted something they didn’t have they will do their best to ensure you’re accommodated. The dessert station is fabulous. Gym The gym is excellent and has all the equipment you need for a great workout. Fabulous view from the treadmills of the Burj Al Arab. We've stayed here before, exactly six years ago to be precise and had extremely fond memories of the hotel and its facilities. This time we booked a room overlooking the palm, which to be honest was a little spoiled because we were on the first floor looking out over the large canopy at the rear of the hotel. It obscures the hotel grounds, but we did get a view of the palm and a monumental balcony. The room itself is spacious and well designed with a walk in wardrobe, separate toilet to the bathroom and a large shower and bath. The towel art from house keeping also puts a smile on your face. The pools and beach facilities though were not quite as we remembered. The sun beds are large and there is a mix of old and new now. Weirdly, the new ones have little recline adjustment, so you're vertical or flat, likewise with the umbrellas, some were really past their sell by: ripped, broken and falling apart. It's picky, but you spend hours of your time here so it's very visibly tired. We used the adults pool during our stay and the jacuzzi too is in need of some TLC, it packed up completely one day. The limitless ice buckets and water bottles were greatly appreciated though and we also had food, which was very good. We dined in the buffet for lunch a few times as we were half board and would dine out in the evening, but the breakfast, lunch and dinners served here are all of a very high standard. I've done separate reviews for Lao and Social, each of which missed the mark for us. The one thing that does stand out though are the staff. All are extremely pleasant and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. We had a problem with our experience in Social and the hotel team worked hard to correct things for us, which we absolutely appreciate. My review of Social is unflattering, but I totally acknowledge the lengths the hotel went to to correct things, with senior staff meeting us at breakfast the next morning to apologise, money taken off the restaurant bill and free courtesy transport back to the airport. These things are the mark of a great hotel doing its job when things go wrong. Our stay was relaxing, enjoyable and overall, we were very happy and would most definitely return. …

Beautiful location, the room is well decorated and designed, have a nice bathroom and also, have a big closet (when you travel, you need to have your clothes organized) the room service is great and very attentive! At the front desk, we received a nice welcome with cold towel to wash our face (Dubai is very hot this time of the year) also, they gave us a welcome drink at the bar Serafina and was amazing, the bartender did a great work. We had dinner at Lao, it is an Asian restaurant and serve tasty food, our attendant Ayu was great! She was focused in give us a great experience, explained very well all the options and took care of every detail along the night…

We are currently on our last day and having stayed at some lovely hotels in Dubai the Waldorf is our favourite. We all know Dubai is known for its service but this place is on a different level especially the staff in the Pearl club, we are staying in a Pearl club suite and it’s amazing, from the moment we arrived and the staff ask our name they remember you from then on in and nothing is to much trouble, the beach and pool staff work hard making sure you have iced water all day and again nothing is to much trouble, the food in Pearl club from breakfast, afternoon tea to evening drinks and canopies is amazing as is the themed nights in mezzie especially the Indian night, if R&R is what your after this is the place

The most peaceful and relaxed time I've had in dubai. The staff are amazing and truly helpful towards anything. If you need it they will try and get it. No is never the answer here. If you like 5 star treatment and a good vibe this is the place to go.

We’ve just returned from another great stay at the Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah. This really is our favourite hotel and for many reasons:- the location, the private beach, facilities and restaurants - all of which are outstanding. But the standout reason we return is because of the staff. They are exceptional and we count them as friends. This is exemplified in the Pearl Club Lounge where Mercy and Sagar manage the team with great professionalism and expertise. They are ably assisted by Matina , Aliya, Sabba, Max, Jenny and Vergin A huge thank you to them all for their hospitality and making our stay so memorable. Thanks also go to Khaleed who looked after us on the beach in the steaming heat and kept us replenished with ice cold water throughout the day . Also to Jane our housekeeper and her assistant Agung who both kept our room spotless throughout our stay We just want to add that towards the end of our stay I became unwell with a chest infection and Mercy , Sagar and the team really looked after me keeping me hydrated with fresh ginger and lemon tea which really helped they certainly went above and beyond . We have already booked to return in March next year for another great stay…

Me and My husband had such a great time at Waldorf while we were staying for 4days! The staff were really friendly and they all anticipated what guests needed and wanted. on the last night before we left, we went to the Mezzerie restaurant buffet. it was an Indian cuisine theme. The food was absolutely amazing. But especially all the staff knew that we had been there last 3 days, and they remembered us. also, they gave us lovely cards as well. I was really touched by the warm hospitality. special thanks to Mr Alex, Kaveen, Mrs Aisham Parmila, Mr Pawal and Santhul, Mrs Bhisma and Mrs Saru!!!
