The Hotel has been opened 2020/21 and therefore everything is still working and in order. However the General Manager seems to be not around to check and meet/greet hotel guests.
The general staff tried to make a good job, but at places like the pool area etc the detailed eye for cleaning and maintenance seems to be missing.
Try to get a high floor 32 to 36 with downtown view or if you want to enjoy the sunrise and desert-view the opposite side. All lower floors from floor 12 down unfortunately have limited views as they are blocked by other buildings.
The breakfast that is charged 60 AED is generous and recommended if you are hungry. If you are a light breakfast person and happy with a good coffee and a croissant i would recommend to book the night-only option and get your coffee at the ground level coffee shop called risen.
One thing that might be noticed is that the reception staff likes to have you prepay your stay right at checkin. That is a little strange and annoying specially when you arrive late at night and are flight hung-over you select to pay in your regional currency and get a very bad exchange rate. So the recommendation would be to demand the reception staff to lock a certain amount on your Creditcard that you are able to spend during your trip. That is helpful also, as if not done upfront you will need to pay for everything like laundry , pool drinks, snacks and coffee shop every time over again.
Also the property is one of the signature hotels of the First Group property developer and swarms of obviously provision based paid sales reps pitch investments to free staying potential investors. That makes the setup a little bit strange and it is hilarious to watch the Sales reps make their sales dance in every way possible.

Booked for a one night staycation with my toddler for a Mummy/Daughter treat. We were made to feel so welcome and special by every member of staff we met. The room is perfect, I especially loved the very large glass bottles of water and use of the fridge to keep them cool.
The best was so comfy and I was happy that I could link my phone to the Tv for streaming.
The pool area at this hotel is fantastic. The service was wonderful, and we were so happy with the ice lolly surprise to help keep cool. The only down side is that none of the actual pool is shaded in the afternoon , including the kids pool, but there were plenty umbrellas available for over the loungers. The pool is shaded by the building in the morning so it was a great time for us to swim.
Breakfast was simple and small but great quality and an egg station.
I already cannot wait to come back to this hotel. If you're looking for somewhere well priced to relax, out of the hustle and bustle of the city this is the place! There is a shuttle bus to main areas around Dubai for those who wish to explore, but as a resident of the city I was happy to just stay in the hotel and relax with my toddler.

This was our 10th visit to Dubai, first time we have stayed in JVC. Usually we stay in JBR. The hotel had a lovely calm feel to it but still had a vibe. The pool area was attractive with a smaller pool for the children. The staff were great especially around the pool where they would come and set your towels out for you and brought round daily ice lollies even though it was Ramadan. The breakfast was set in a great area, you could eat outside or in, both very comfortable. The food was lovely and fresh. The room was comfortable and cleaned daily as you would expect. JVC wasnt too busy or built up, it is quite central to all the tourist places but you would require a taxi, prices are good so it's not really a problem. We would definitely return.

Myself and my friend spent a fabulous week at this hotel.The staff here are wonderful, professional and friendly.. The pool area and staff are second to none.. Nicole, Bijaya, Bharat and Omor were all very attentive and made great mojitos The pool area and seating has been one of the nicest, relaxed and cleanist we have been to..The lifeguards (sorry I didn't get all the names) are extremely observant.. Any child/children left unattended by their parents were spotted immediately and supervised by them.. Also an elderly woman who required some mobility assistance spent the day by the pool and all staff members could not have been more attentive to her needs.. Overall, a fantastic hotel and we would highly recommend to anyone.

When I was looking for a hotel online I searched for days and days to find what would be the best place to stay , based on value and location and quality of the hotel , I wasn’t sure what to expect from this hotel as the price seemed very cheap for the two weeks stay . I arrived at the hotel and first impressions were good , the room was big it was clean and it was new ! , you couldn’t fault anything , it even had modern light switch controls by the touch of a button . The walls were spotless looked as if nobody had ever stayed in my room . Everything you could possibly need was in the room , including wardrobes and fridge and ironing board and coffee making facilities. The location was a nice residential area , quiet and accessible by taxi to anywhere you need to be in 20 mins or so for a small fee . Personally the location was good for me as it felt like living in your own apartment rather than a hotel . The hotel offers a selection of restaurants and bars and has a very pleasant swimming pool area, as well as other facilities too , they organised a lot of excursions for me from the concierge that were all very good value and enjoyable experiences. For the entire duration of my stay the room was silent , and no noise from other guests , I’ve stayed in places which are 10 times the price that don’t have this level of comfort . They even offer a free day pass to a beach club on the palm , and a free bus to get there ! . Completely free ! The value here is unbelievable, back in England you wouldn’t get anything at this price of around 65 pound per night , it’s so affordable and luxury too ! , my advice to anyone is to stay at this hotel and go enjoy Dubai . If you want a beach there is plenty in Dubai to go to . This could be one of the best hotels in Dubai at the moment and it’s highly rated on here too . Amazing I’d definitely be returning to this amazing place .

I loved my stay at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, particularly the concierge, Bhim, and the food was very high quality, with Sante Ria serving fabulous Latin inspired dishes and Village Bistro offering plenty of choice. The half board menu was vast and every dish fresh and tasty. My room was bright, modern and expansive with a view of the city and it featured everything I needed - plugs, desk, ironing board, tea, coffee and water - and this was in a refillable glass bottle too, which cheered me up because I hate to see single-use plastic in hotels. Well done The First Collection. There’s also a great outdoor terrace and sun deck with sizeable pool, so even if you’re working, it’s a place to relax. This is a hidden gem in JVC, so handy for most places in the city. There are shuttle buses to the beach club and malls too. Incredible value. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Great hotel perfect for families and those wanting to explore. We paid for a suite room which was great for the four of us and it came with access to the nest lounge where we got complimentary drinks and canapés in the evening plus refreshments all through the day.
We booked the half board package thinking that if we didn’t use the meals then no big deal but what’s great is you can use for lunch or dinner which gives great flexibility. No drinks aside from water are included in the half board option. The Brazilian restaurant is really good.
We didn’t get a visit from house keeping whilst there is the only issue but sure if we called reception they would have arranged.
Also used the spa which was great. Gym very small.
The location doesn’t really have anything going on around it but it’s about 15mins drive from the palm and like most hotels in Dubai everything is a taxi ride away.

Hotel location is not central in Dubai but free shuttle bus service is provided at selected timings to selected malls. There is no food court nearby but there are a few convenience stores nearby. I stayed at level 29 where the view is great but it is noisy on Friday and Saturday nights as customers party in the bar that is on level 29. Room is high tech with touch screen switches and free one litre drinking water is provided daily.

Not good solo and a woman, arrived at 4am the lobby smelt stale they couldn't find my booking! Hot and tired not even offered a drink of water! After 20 mins standing up found my booking ( no apology) Went up to room was warm and alot smaller than I anticipated no bin in the room apart from one in bathroom, Grabbed few hours sleep went down for breakfast the breakfast was very nice and plenty choice had no issues at pool very relaxing, Room service! Ordered burger and chips and a cheese selection this arrived cold and the biscuits for the cheese were stale luckily my stay wasn't long , My transfer to go back to the airport told me to confirm the day before my pick up time, I asked the front desk after explaining this to 3 members of staff they dialled the number shoved the fone in my hand lime was busy and was told " What do you expect us to do?" Check out day I was honestly glad to leave as a solo traveller and female and after travelling to Dubai several times a year this hotel made me feel very uncomfortable and ostracised, Seemed all smiles with Couples and Families but me no.

The level of service is excellent! There was the ONLY point - when paying the tax upon check-in, we asked to pay in $, and they calculated it at some terrible rate, this was not the case anywhere else.
But then everything was just wonderful!
We settled into a great room with a beautiful view. Cleaning was great. Convenient control system - you can indicate to workers when they can enter the room for cleaning. Two sockets fit Russian plugs, we took another adapter with us - that was enough. Kettle, coffee, tea, water (one bottle by default, but you can ask and they will bring you more for free). Someone complained in the reviews that there is no dryer, but in the bathroom there is a stretched “rope” on which you can hang swimsuits to dry, and they dry overnight. Excellent wifi.
The pool is open from early morning, but at this time the neighboring hotel blocks the sun. There is sunshine from 9 a.m., but it’s also harder to find places by the pool. Workers help you find a place and lay out full containers.
Breakfast is a buffet: tasty, varied, I didn’t get tired of it after a week. You can sit inside or outside. Pleasantly large amounts of turkey and chicken.
Dinner (we had half board) - a choice of buffet or Mexican restaurant on the 29th floor. The buffet is a different menu than for breakfast, everything is also very tasty, especially meat, fish, and grilled seafood. Live music on the veranda. In a Mexican restaurant there is a set menu: you choose something from appetizers, a main course and dessert; tea, coffee - free; Some dishes require additional payment, but many are tasty and without additional payment; good prices for alcohol (but we didn’t try).
Convenient and varied transfers: Dubai Mall (Burj Khalifa), Mall of the Emirates (convenient metro transfer). Shuttle to the sea at Soluna Beach Club on Palma (entrance will be free - sun lounger, towel, umbrella included), pay only for water, food, what you buy on the spot.
Relatively close to the Dubai Circle Mall hotel - there is a good exchange office, places to eat, two large grocery stores (there is a small grocery store right across the road).
There are many parks around, so it’s very pleasant to walk in the morning before it gets hot or at golden hour.
Check out from the room before 12:00. On this day, breakfast is still included in the price. We had a transfer to the airport at 16:30, things were left at the hotel for storage, and several times without any problems something was reported to them or taken away. After checking out, you can sit in the lobby and use the guest wi-fi without any problems.
There are still so many pleasant little things, I can’t remember them all. I would love to come back here!
