The Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is lauded for its spotless cleanliness and luxurious amenities, such as the exceptional spa and diverse dining options, which guests consistently admire. While opinions on value and location vary, with some finding the hotel well worth the expense and others concerned about costly extras and the need for taxis, the service receives high marks for its attentiveness.
However, despite the spacious, comfortable rooms and their impressive views, some travelers suggest updates and improved lighting are needed to enhance the overall opulent atmosphere.

Hotel's Favourite
My family and I stayed at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray for 6 nights in mid October and had a fantastic stay! This was our first time in Dubai and I'm so pleased that we chose to spend it at the JZS.
There were so many highlights across the hotel, that really seperate the Zabeel Saray from other five star hotels we have stayed at, it is difficult to know where to start.
As we were celebrating a birthday, we we were a bit extravagent and booked a two bedroom suite for our trip. What we didn't appreciate until we were showed to our room by the friendly and super efficient William, was just how roomy the suite would be! Both bedrooms had their own massive bathrooms (which is something that the hotel doesn't highlight well on their website- we were under the impression we might have to share a bathroom), with baths in each large enough to be called a 'kids pool' in other hotels.
Aside from the bathrooms, the two bedrooms rooms were really well laid out, with plenty of storage space, a fully stocked mini bar and with both rooms having beautiful views over the front of the hotel out towards the sea and the Dubai eye. In addition, the sitting/dining room that you enter the suite from is really spacious and also has it's own bathroom. Three bathrooms in one suite was definitely a first for us!
We were fortunate enough to have the benefit of the incredible Club lounge team as a benefit of our room choice.
Mr. Muthu Krishnan and his team (including Wai, Alex, Rose and others whose names I didn't get) did a fantastic job of looking after us all during our stay. Whether it was the during the private breakfast, afternoon tea or 'drinks and canapes' sessions, nothing was too much trouble for them. This level of outstanding 'genuine' service is very difficult to find, so a big thank you to the whole club lounge team for going the extra mile for us.
Other than the rooms and the Club lounge facility, the other really positive aspects of the hotel for us were the half board package (allowing us to eat not just in the 5 excellent restaurants within the hotel, but aslo around 15 other restaurants across Dubai using the 'dine around' half board service). On one evening we travelled down to the Souk Madinat and enjoyed dinner at the Trattoria Toscana Italian resturant for a change.
The Pool and Beach areas were kept incredibly clean and tidy, with the highlight of the beach for our two teenagers being the lemon ice lollies that were brought round for all guests a couple of times a day.
We even had the chance on our last day to experience the private cinema that is located within the hotel. This is beautiful wood pannelled room, with around 15 plush seats set out to watch films that are shown at set times of the day. We had the whole place to ourselves at 5pm and really appreciated the freshly made popcorn and bottles of water that were offered to us by the concierge team just as the film started.
There is little that we would say needs to be improved by the hotel. The facilities are excellent. The rooms large and well appointed. The plentiful staff all seem geninuelly keen to help wherever possible, making such a difference to the guest's enjoyment.
Our only regret was not being able to finish all the delicious food that was on offer from the resturants. Maybe the portion sizes could be reduced?
The real litmus test of a family holiday is whether you would go back to the same hotel in the future. As a family we have never done this before, yet for us, the answer was a resounding and definite 'YES' for the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray!
Tips:-
- The rooms/suits on the 4th - 6th floors overlooking the hotel entrance areas have fantastic views and are nicely quiet if you like to sit out on the balcony and watch the boats drift past as the sun sets.
- Try the Club lounge. The team are incredible and it is definetly worth the extra cost.
- Be prepared to get taxis into the main sights of Dubai, at busy times this can take up to 45 mins due to traffic on the Palm.

This is our second visit to Zabeel Saray and was just as superb as our first visit. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel so welcome and although the hotel is very luxurious you are made to feel so comfortable by all the amazing staff from security, reception, pool and restaurant the staff always greet you with a smile and offer you whatever help you need.
We booked a club room which gave us access to the club lounge where we had breakfast a light bite at lunchtime and pre dinner drinks between 6-8pm. The guys who work here are great and get to know your preferences more or less immediately. My husband always had a cool peroni being opened for him as we arrived.
The restaurants are fabulous. We ate at the rib room twice which was lovely and as some people have said a glass or bottle of wine is very expensive compared to home but alcohol is expensive across Dubai. We did use our half board allowance as part payment for brunch at Jumeirah Al Qsar where we have been three times now and never disappoints. Food again beautiful and so many choices, live music again really good and your package includes your drinks for the day. Afterwards we took an abra along the restaurants and souks in Madinat you can do this at no charge as part of Jumeirah group. One evening we ate at Tortuga which is a Mexican and very tasty. There are no exclusions or supplements as part of half board and as a plus the cocktails were great.
The only disappointment we had was that we left our visit to Amala, the Indian restaurant to the Sunday of our trip but didn’t know this restaurant has started closing on a Sunday but never mind we will definitely book a table on our next visit.
The pool is clean and the guys round the pool take your towels to your beds for you and get you iced water to keep you hydrated throughout the day. There is also the offer of cooling face spray, sunscreen, sunglass cleaning and ice lollies. Totally fantastic and nothing I’ve experienced anywhere else.
I should mention the fact that the hotel arrange your airport pick up and drop off which is great after a long flight and the guys at the front of the hotel who grab your cases or get you taxis are all so friendly.
All in all a truly fantastic five days and I cannot wait to return in September for another touch of luxury. Thank you Zabeel Saray.

Our trip was during the first week in December and we had a 3 night stay booked in a Club Room and with complimentary Half Board.
We were already in Dubai, so asked if we could be picked up in downtown rather than the airport. The car was there waiting for us, a comfortable BMW 7 series. Our driver, Mustafa also took us on our return journey and was very friendly and helpful.
We were greeted, welcomed and shown to the Club Lounge to check in, where we were offered breakfast. We declined, but did accept tea and coffee. We were then advised of what was on, as it was National Day and escorted to our room, which was ready despite our early arrival. The service was excellent. This continued throughout our entire trip, with Harsha and his team in the Club Lounge providing exceptional customer service. They really do make your stay extra special.
We arrived on National Day, there were Emirati singers and dancers, the hotel was beautifully decorated and there was a huge cake. We were offered mocktails and cup cakes whilst watching the local entertainment. Later that evening there were fireworks at the beach. A great effort and most enjoyable day!
The rooms are large, with a balcony overlooking the sea, beautifully decorated with very large comfortable beds and excellent toiletry provisions in grand bathrooms. The are spotlessly clean.
We ate in the Imperium the first night, which was nice, Asian style buffet, The next night in Lalezar, which was outstanding. We said what we liked and left the choice of dishes to them, fantastic, the best Turkish food we have ever had! The next night we ate in Amala, again, superb. The service provision in both Lalezar and Amala is first class!
The hotel is opulent and the rooms are beautiful, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Special thanks to Harsha and his team in the Club Lounge, you made it extra special! I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our next trip!

We stayed here for 4 nights from 26/12/19 (room 358) on a half board basis & we added the club room. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left every member of staff we had the pleasure to meet were extremely courteous, attentive, professional & friendly, they truly are a great team of individuals who made our stay extra special. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas but even without this the hotel is stunning & very spacious. We were very happy with our room, my son loved the huge bath and my husband enjoyed the coffee machine, the only thing I would have preferred was a bit more pressure in the shower. The pool area was kept very clean the only downside is that parts of the pool don’t get the sun all day so you may need to use the beach if you like laying in the sun. We only used the club lounge once for afternoon tea as we chose to take the courtesy shuttle service to wild wadi 3 out of our 4 days but the food served in the lounge was very nice. We had breakfast i the club lounge twice & breakfast in the buffet restaurant twice. The club lounge had a small selection of buffet food but also a menu for you to order from, it was a lot quieter/calmer than the main restaurant & I liked that food was made to order & you got a proper pot of tea. The main restaurant had a great selection of food from fruits, fruit drinks, cereals, cooked items, nice breads & pastries the only little thing I found was that the waiter service was not as good as we would have expected. We were not offered drinks on our first visit & had to find a waiter & ask, I asked for a pot of tea but was only offered a mug & it seemed to take an awful long time to arrive, I found myself looking having to look around to try & get another cup of tea. The 2nd visit we asked for drinks when we were shown to our table but we had to chase them up as again they were taking a long time to arrive. Apart from that breakfast was very nice. We had dinner twice at Amala & the food & service were excellent, we also went to the Rib Room for my birthday meal & they had decorated the table beautifully and brought a lovely cake at the end of the meal, it was these lovely touches that made it special for us. The E butler service is very handy & check out was very straight forward, again the staff were very accommodating as we were not leaving the hotel until 5:30pm so they kept our luggage safe, allowed us to use shower facilities in the spa & organised our taxi. I would like to thank the Hotel Manager whom we met at the pre dinner cocktails on 29th & also all the staff for the excellent service, it was a pleasure to stay at such a fabulous hotel & we hope to return in the not so distant future.

We arrived in Dubai on an early flight and our room wasn’t ready. The reception was very efficient and took my phone number/WhatsApp to let me know when it was ready. In the meantime the receptionist tried to sell us an upgrade to a suite that was immediately available for another £600. We turned this down and didn’t regret it. Our sea view king room was ready in 2 hours and was excellent and provided everything we needed. There is modern technology in the room and a WhatsApp system to make reservations for dinner, spa, taxis etc which is very efficient.
The staff are very friendly and the hotel is spotless.
The food in the restaurants is fantastic. We used the buffet each morning and evening and always found something different to try and enjoy. Waiter service restaurants are also available, providing something for everyone.
The private pool and beach area are idyllic.
There is practically nothing outside of the hotel that is within walking distance but taxi journeys are cheap and taxis are available at the hotel at all times. The inability to walk to the major attractions in Dubai is not specific problem for this hotel location; everything is scattered around the city and no one location fits all, so location is not a major consideration in Dubai.
We are definitely looking to return to this hotel.

We have loved this hotel since our first visit several years ago coming back from Australia and always look out for any deals when we come here. We book 4 nights HB choosing to split our time between the Marina where we stayed for the previous 5 nights and the Palm. As usual hotel surroundings are opulent, luxurious, the height of luxury. The rooms are large, we were on the 5th floor this time, with amazing views of the City Skyline and Blue Waters. Bathroom with large marble bath is crazy. Room staff were very attentive and even offered us chocolates when we arrived. We opted for HB, breakfast is lovely every morning outside, love the pool and beach area the pool is large and never feels over crowded, beach are is lovely and secluded, I used the Talise Ottoman spa every day, jacuzzi, indoor pool, snow bath, tropical shower, it is the nicest spa I had ever visited. Every day at the pool we received ice lollies, cold towels and sun glass cleaning service complimentary. Water and ice boxes are also complimentary. We used the dine around option and used the buffet, the Indian and then wine to the MAdinat and used the buffets there. There is a happy hour at Plaj and the Crown pub. Somme comments to improve service: more staff in the Crown at Happy Hour and better staff education on sharing the happy hour menu, got the impression they were not coping. The Plaj happy hour should start at 4pm not 5pm. We arrived at 1pm to check in and our room wasn’t ready, we got a complimentary drink on arrival, were offered a discounted room upgrade, however had to wait 2 hours to get into our room with several false starts being told the room would be ready with different staff telling us different things, this was a bit disappointing. Ive no doubt we’ll be back though.

This was our first visit to Dubai and Zabeel Saray. We loved the beautifully decorated, spacious and well-equipped room overlooking the palm island. The room left nothing to wish for: lots of storage space, luxurious bath room, cleanliness and sleeping comfort were excellent. Very welcoming and friendly service at the reception. Special regards to William! We liked the location at the palm island as well as taxis are always available, reliable and fairly priced so it was very easy to visit Dubai centre. The spa area was excellent and the hotel gym well equipped. There were several restaurants to choose from and one serving late after midnight which we very much appreciated as well after spending a night on the town.

This is a luxurious, grand and classy hotel. The outstanding feature is undoubtedly the staff who could not be more helpful or friendly. Their service was faultless. Special mentions to Ajay at breakfast who had memorised our order by the second day, an outstanding touch. Affan at check in, Vinay and Kannan at plaj, Saeed at Imperium, Alex from Uganda who was one of the lifeguards and Chandika at sultan lounge.
The rooms are big and clean. Due to the location of the hotel the view to the beach is facing in to the palm which means that our deluxe king sea room did not capture the sun set (or any sun for that matter). There are some rooms which will get sunset but they won’t have beach/pool view and I’m not sure if they are Deluxe king “sea” view.
Food and drink was great and we particularly enjoyed being able to use various restaurants at the madinat. The rib room and sunset lounge were closed during our stay. Another nice feature is the free water provided in the rooms and by the pool/beach.
Now for the bad parts...They say that sun loungers are not reserved by towels and they should be removed if people are not using them. Unfortunately after a few days of our holiday the hotel became busier and it was a common sight for sun loungers to have towels on them all morning with no one on them. Perhaps a management figure should monitoring this? As the lifeguards and attendants are busy enough.
However the main gripe is the noise and atmosphere around the main pool area. It is without doubt the noisiest and least relaxing pool I have ever stayed at with swarms of screaming children all day.It is certainly not the fault of the lifeguards but again needs to be considered by management as several others commented on this too. The layout of the hotel or the policy around those using the pool needs to be addressed! One possible solution is already in place as there is a kids pool and area at one end of the hotel. Alternatively an adult only pool should be installed elsewhere.
I’m not sure if I would recommend this hotel to other couples, singles or older families in its current format. However it is still 5 star quality and the staff will spoil you.

Me and my family recently visited Dubai and stayed at the Jumeriah Zabeel Saray and what an amazing hotel, absolutely stunning and a brilliant location. The hotel is located on the palm and is about a 20/30 minute Uber from the central( where the Burj khalif is). The hotel is out of the main city and has its own personal beach( we personally preferred this as the hotel felt spacey and didn’t feel over crowded). The hotel has its own beach which is beautiful and you can look out and see all the other hotels. Due to staying in a Jumeriah( depending on your package, ours was half board) it allowed you to eat at any of the other Jumeriah’s in Dubai( which we would fully recommend). The room was spacious, well decorated and absolutely stunning! The bathroom aswell was large and the bath is to die for, its huge and can fit about four people in!! During our stay we got looked after extremely well.
On our days of relaxing in the beach the service was brilliant. We had someone always set our beds up for us and bring over complimentary water for our day on the beach. Throughout the day you get the waiters offering free ice lollies, fruit, cold towels, sun cream and to clean your glasses! Absolutely exceptional.
We had the choice to eat in any of the restaurants but we ate in the ‘imperium’ most nights due to it having themed buffet nights each night with such a selection of food. We are an awkward family due to our allergies one being lactose intolerant, one having a garlic intolerance and me having a serious nut and fish allergy and being coeliac. The staff did not fail to provide the best food and were extremely accommodating. For my other family members a chef went round with them explaining what’s foods they could have but due to me having so many they would ask me what I wanted off the buffet and then prepare it so that there was none of the foods I was allergic to or no risk of cross contamination. It was absolutely incredible! The two managers that looked after me were Muneesh and Sama who always checked I had everything I wanted and did anything for me, they deserve some recognition as the service they provided was exceptional. I also want to mention our two waiters Oliver and Rocky who always greeted us even if they weren’t our dedicated waiter and made sure we were satisfied with the food and provided us the 5* service! AMAZING!
I would fully recommend testing yourself to a treatment whilst visiting the hotel and use the space facilities as they are exceptional. I had a 60 massage and a hair treatment which was extremely relaxing and my therapist was called Lovi who I would fully reccomend and again deserved recognition for her hard work!
Whilst being in Dubai we did a lot such as drive jeeps in the dessert, had the Friday brunch(would fully recommend), visited the fountain display at the mall and had cocktails at the Burj al Arab aswell as relaxed in the sun!
We had an amazing time and the hotel is a must when staying in Dubai!

We had a lovely stay for 3 nights including New Years eve dinner, a beautiful celebration with magnificent decoration, delicious dinner , lovely entertainment, and after party. The service was excelllent throughout the stay, with great care to the minutest details, e.g toe brush on the beach for sand in between toes, cleaning of glasses and a book mark complementary when sunbathing by the beach.
Truely a New Years eve to remember.
