The food is excellent and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Very disappointed with the ship. Needs a lot more attention to the public spaces. The bedroom was a superior room, tbh it was very disappointing. The room was dusty and the carpets around the ship needed hoovered. The courtesy bus driver was lovely and def a bonus to have this option as you are out of it a little. We wouldn’t return.
Very beautiful hotel and very well renovated which has kept its authenticity and its history! You must absolutely visit with Mr Nikeet, who sees fwra sharing his story and his passion 🙏🙏🤗🤗 We were very well received at the Lobby with Mr Mahmood Al zoghaby and we were able to celebrate our birthday with a royal organization of Ms Judirh and Anju, thank you for making us have a pleasant time, a change of scenery is guaranteed. The restaurant le lido serves you a very good breakfast wr the crew is very caring
One word - Disappointing…. My reasons for this as follows; Although the sea room view was lovely, the room was big, spacious & very clean, comfy bed - always had a good nights sleep, the actual ship was not as I expected it to be. A lot of hype for nothing. I booked this hotel for my hubby’s bday - we are both British and saw on the TV this Queen Elizabeth ship was the place to be. It looked absolutely fab, us both being from a military background too, thought we’d give it a whirl.. however, the ship / area was one big construction/ building site - in fact a lot of Dubai is from what I saw.., Anyway, in the ship everything was closed apart from the gym & pool, 1 x bar & 1 x restaurant. I expected the deck to have outside chairs / loungers tables etc… Nope. Not even the bar outside was open - no seating, parasols, nothing. I was massively disappointed in this, as I wanted to spend some time just ‘chilling out’ out on the deck in the sun. There was no other choices on the ship to be had, so we had to find places to go & visit - thank goodness for ‘GetYourGuide’. I found that we had to get taxis wherever we wanted to go. There wasn’t even a transfer from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is not walking distance to any beaches or a town. The only place you could walk to was the arena, where there are a few eating & drinking places, along with a lot of construction work going on. The hotel did have a mini bus that took you to the Dubai mall, one of the beaches and the metro station - all once a day & pickup 6/7 hours later, or you get your own taxi back. I was fed up of ordering taxis! IMO 7 hours is a very long time to spend at a shopping mall…! But heyho.. worth a visit, very impressive. There’s a heritage tour on the ship - you have to pay for. We didn’t do this because I couldn’t justify paying it especially as we were residents on the ship for a whole week. This I think should have been free for staying residents. There was only 1 bar open (happy hour from 4pm -8pm) & the restaurant. The food menu could have been a bit more diverse & more cultural dishes. Again, disappointing. The pool at the bottoM deck was more like a splash pool. Again, disappointing. Would be nice if there was a pool on one of the decks outside - Along with loungers etc… like the ship was when it was a fully functional cruise ship. There was no entertainment whatsoever, all closed. No on board shop or souvenir shop - Disappointing. Even though our stay was end Sept - low season apparently - at 35-42 degrees heat, I saw no reason as to why many things were closed, and no reason whatsoever as to why there was no seating outside on any of the decks!? The staff were all lovely and polite, no complaints there at all. It was just a shame for us being our 1st experience in Dubai and on that ship / hotel. I think it has an identity confusion about it - is it a ship / hotel or museum..?? It has huge potential, not being used to its max throughout the year. Nothing like it claims to be, no atmosphere during ‘low season’. Clearly a ship / hotel that does not entertain ‘Low Season’ long stay guests. Day ‘heritage tour’ guests only during this time. We wouldn’t stay there again. …
Had nice time with my friends. All staffs were supportive. From a Swift check in. I wish to thank each and every staff that made our stay memorable. Thanks to the concierge team and to Dil at the reception. The gyms facility is very nice with the gyme attendant always ready to explain. No one should miss the breakfast.
Dil has been an excellent staff and was there for all our quires during our visit. His attention to detail in customer service has made us think about our visit back to you in the next few months. Dil was very helpful to us in explaining things to do around.
Amazing 1 night stop . We arrived in Dubia at 7.30 had some breakfast and called the QE2 hotel . Thanks to Lucy she allowed us to check in early and check out late ( it was Monday and the boat was quiet) Excellent customer service we were made to feel very welcome . My husband Andrew was an ex employee of the ship and was delighted to be able to explore the ship. The rooms were smart and spacious and the ship was renovated well some areas keeping the original features and others being refurbished but keeping the essence of the ship It was a brilliant stay we ate dinner and breakfast and the food was good and staff very attentive . it very exciting to see the plans for the continued renovation and the ships and the grounds we would love to visit the ship again . Maybe it would be fun to have a employee reunion event !!…
My colleagues are very satisfied with everything. The staff was very wonderful and catered to our every need. They have excellent hospitality, and it was really great working with them. The view from the window of Queens Room are peaceful, scenic view and refreshing. It was a great way of having a different venue of what we usually have in a meeting event.
We booked a romantic night on the QE2 with dinner. We arrived in the reception building to soft classical music and the staff were very polite and helpful. The captain’s room was very large and had a sea view. The room was like new and immaculate. We decided to have drinks on the promenade deck and watch the sunset over the city. There was a party on the deck above and the noise was deafening. Heavy bass Ibiza club type music, monotonous thump thump thump. Not QE2 classy, or elegant. We left without buying anything. We went to dinner at 8pm and the restaurant was swamped with the same loud bass music coming from the 20 Bose speakers in the ceiling. We asked the manager if it could be turned down but he said it was a common sound system with the above deck with no volume control !! .We rushed the meal and left as soon as possible. Great shame as the food was excellent. Management need to decide if QE2 is an elegant piece of history or a cheap Spanish night club for an 18/30 holiday.…
Dear Queen elizabeth team I want to mention that you guys are so lucky to have such a beautiful lady in talking , smiling, and looking I want to thank (Shroq) for making my stay so much fun and smooth. 🌹
It was quite nice of an experience but the rooms was very small and old and the club music was on all night until 4 a.m which doesn’t make u able to sleep from how loud it was. The breakfast was amazing but other than this nothing is amazing. I don’t think will come back.
