Visiting Dubai in September and a good pricing brought us to Sofitel The Palm.We expected it to be hot and it was! Fortunately the air conditioning throughout the property made it a cool haven if it got too much outside. The entrance, connective corridors and rooms were all tasteful and perfectly maintained and we were pleased to learn we were upgraded from sea view to Palm view and taken up to the third floor providing a great pool, beach and palm perspective. The room itself was large, well furnished and a great bath/wet room/rainforest shower arrangement. We visited five of the six restaurant options on site plus Manava for breakfast daily and evening buffet twice. Food everywhere was of a high standard albeit on the Dine Around ( half board) option a slightly reduced a la carte menu choice. We always found options to eat, only paying a supplement once to 'upgrade' to a steak in The World Eatery. Staff everywhere were courteous, pro active and engaging despite the hustle and bustle of a busy day. Pool facilities were great, prompt bar service and we always found a sunbed.Weekends were busier, more visitors necessitating a prompt journey to the pool area before breakfast. Every evening we returned to a smooth turndown service, fresh water, slippers by the bed, quilt positioned, also a great morning tidy up,refresh to the room. Thanks to Kamal, room attendant. We visited Oliviers, cafe in the foyer almost daily and the staff there were pleasant and attentive. Any quibbles ?...I found the transition to using QR codes in every venue irritating...no proper menus means having to take your mobile phone out at the table,be it for a cup of tea,a drink or food or to check what's on offer...lots of couples peering into illuminated screens ruins the ambience of a meal in a fine dining scenario....yes,I know,it's sustainable and post-covid practical but not my preference. Food wise only one comment....The Porterhouse is perhaps the flagship dining scene, a steakhouse of some reputation judging by the awards displayed and yet on Dine Around the steak option ( without paying a supplement) is skirt steak....in my opinion the cheapest, most unattractive steak to be had. Too chewy and frankly not a good advert for a steakhouse. That's it....personal irritants which do not detract from the great Sofitel experience we had. My final applause goes to the staff members who wait patiently by the door into the foyer from the pool area with the slide mop. Despite the sign asking customers not to enter in swimshorts ...in they come.....dripping wet, footwear leaving a trail through the marble floored entrance and off down towards their rooms....silently,patiently followed by uncomplaining staff buffing up their mess. Folks ,I see you and apologise on their behalf !! Great stay,we would come back again in a heartbeat.

Well, I have been to many hotels and resorts around Dubai and VAE, I expect high standards, and know very well what it means to stay in world leading hotel. So far, my experience with Sofitel the palm was amazing! The whole team was thrilled to leave no wished unfilled. As I’ve a specific medical history which need extra care, the team was trying to do its best to make our stay just perfect. I don’t need to say anything at all, this hotel is a nice place for a good standard, family’s and friends stay, or even business but you need to notice the area is still palm. So, I would recommend it even for solo travelers as you have a high variety of things to do and locations around. It’s close to a train station too. The hotel offers a perfect match of different restaurants and the buffet is always a good idea for family’s too. The beach area ist amazing. The pools are nice too. The spa facilities are good. Some facilities are maybe not so modern as other hotels in Dubai but notice that this hotel is already some years old. I would definitely recommend the beach suite!! It’s a perfect modern bright lovely suite with a private butler located in a separate building yet close. You got a VIP area for having breakfast if you prefer or afternoon tea, drinks etc. where only members are allow to use. There is a mini marked in hotel and several shops. For kids they offer plenty nice activities. Fitness gym is big and nice! I give a special thanks to Mr Nazar, Romash, Swaroob, Atui, shibu, shefli, imtiaz, Hahn and or room made of course… and everyone who was so in to it, to make our stay as perfect as possible! We will never forget! We will be back for sure. Even if maybe something goes “wrong” they just did everything in their hands to make us forget and smile. And yap they did! Thank you. Little notice, as there are families with kids this hotel is not for people who need a quiet time! They do serve alcohol, there is music at night, and there are families with kids…! So you should be aware of this. But even me, I spend time with mom, we don’t have any kids, do not party or alcohol, we enjoyed our stay and did get our rest…

We stayed at the Sofitel a few weeks ago, a hotel which has a special place in my heart as I stayed there many a time when travelling for business in Dubai. What I liked about the hotel; It's more like a resort than a hotel with multiple pools - social areas that are very much spread out, feels like there's a lot to see and do. The service is absolutely superb, everyone wants to contribute to your experience, everyone wants to make sure you have a good time. The beach is long and sandy, the main pool is large - and has character, the restaurants down on the beach areas are very good, had some lovely lunches there. The gym is absolutely outstanding, everything you could possibly need and is extremely spacious! The air conditioning the rooms as you'd expect is first class, And the room cleaning staff do a superb job. The rooms are spacious and very clean, I would however point out that the hotel is now fairly old, and you can especially see this in the original blocks away from the main building - in that I feel it's probably time for a refurbishment. That being said, they're still great rooms. What I didn't like about the hotel; What I'm about to say is pretty much uniform across Dubai - down on the beach they charge £10 for a plastic bottle of water (1.5L)...which they probably buy in four £0.50. For clarity I'm not a poor man, but this is really excessive…profiteering on water like this - a substance which fundamentally supports life, it just feels so wrong. Alcohol, do what you like… it's the consumers choice as to whether they wish to pay the price or not. The steak house restaurant just off reception is very nice, I would recommend this - but, the oriental restaurant situated at the front of the hotel is not good - not only is the food not have a good standard, but it fundamentally lacks atmosphere. We were half board, and in any other location in the world you would have soft drinks included with a meal – even if it was water. At the Sofitel, they were not... And you were restricted in terms of what you could order within the restaurants being part of a meal plan - In the restaurants down on the beach you had a £25 allowance, which bought you a burger or perhaps a salad. The other big irritation for me was that right above the hotel, slightly Oceanside it is the helicopter highway, and they are buzzing backwards and forwards all day long… one every couple of minutes. I am absolutely stunned they allow this, especially as the hotel next door is the Atlantis Royal, arguably the premier flagship hotel of Dubai. Would I spend upwards of £1000 a night at the Royal just to listen to that all day long, no I wouldn't - very weird the authorities allow this.

Stayed at the sofitel in January apartment 7407 with a lovely Seaview. Everything was comfortable felt like a home away from home. They even provide a clothes rack which came in super handy !
The amenities were great. Washing machine with detergent provided and dish soap / sponge for the sink. However i did have to ask for these items as there was nothing when we first entered. They even gave 1 litre bags of loccitane body wash, shampoo, shower gel and body lotion !
The bath was huge but only having lukewarm water was a downer as the kids felt cold so could only use once ! Shower was hot though !
The breakfast was plentiful and pools spacious but note they are deep 2.2m so be careful with children . The kids pool was so nice and warm !
Kids club you needed to wear socks including adults . This Was really annoying as we mostly were in sandals so had to go all the way back to the room and get socks then come down . Never been to a kids club in uae that has socks rule. Staff member known as Tayyba was amazing so lovely and kind ! such a hard worker ! Thank you Tayyba for everything kids loved you !
House keeping was good. Kids were sick and cleaners came straight away to wipe it up and refresh rooms.
Food wise we Ordered from careem everyday as we were b&b. This was Perfect as the apartment had cutlery plates so felt cosy.
Taxi to atlantis was around Went atlantis was around 19dirhams from sofitel but wish we didn’t ! There is nothing to see except the avenue which is few fake designer shops (balmains fake there !) .
Unless you buy tickets for lost chambers or aquaventure i wouldn’t bother. The careem uber pick up is infront of the avenues entrance. Don’t bother using their taxis near monorail . They wanted 100 dirhams just to get to nakheel mall ! Whereas careem was 20aed.
Overall our stay at sofitel was lovely . Would definately return again . The vibe on the palm is more quieter and classy as opposed to jbr which we also loved but was busy .

We stayed in a newly renovated suite, in the building ‘6’ for breakfast we took in the nearby main building in the Premier Lounge, there are many restaurants, for variety is concerned, everyone is first class, the service is very personal and professional. The fitness is top including steam bath and sauna. The spa is extraordinary. The therapists are very professional and very friendly. It is worked with l’Occitane. We definitely recommend booking breakfast from the beginning as well as access to the VIP Lounge, so it is guaranteed that you can have a small snack and drinks at any time even in the Premier Lounge, the small supplement is worth it all. The complex is large but manageable, it even has a small grocery store with all common household items, the outdoor pool is top, surrounded by many numerous loungers, and also on the beach it has enough for all guests, if you want to treat yourself a little more, you rent a small cabana that can accommodate up to four people, (4 sun loungers, sun sheltered) The housekeeping - here we especially noticed Sumith, works very clean and meets all wishes such as additional towels, mineral water, fresh fruit. We can't imagine living in Dubai anywhere other than the Sofitel the Palm. It is obvious that the General Manager is a very experienced hotelier and host. The product is constantly being developed. The hotel always appears fresh, the staff stay for years and recognize the returning guests, the value for money is unbeatable. We love this place and we can recommend it 100%, we have been coming here regularly for over 15 years and know some businesses, we will not change, although we have the opportunity to get to know new businesses again and again. The authenticity this resort conveys suits us and all the many guests who visit it. It is also worth mentioning that there is of course a hairdressing salon here, for ladies, as for gentlemen, it has managed various shops, a pharmacy, a shop for men's suits, groceries, a job for women's clothing, a souvenir shop, brokers for aktiVit advise in and around Dubai. The complex is green and is constantly maintained, the beach is cleanly tidy and water activities as well as water sports are offered. The hotel also offers a shuttle to Emirates Mall As I said we will come back and enjoy the time here.

This was our second time staying at this hotel, first nine years ago as a couple and now this time with our two children. We usually stay elsewhere but we chose this resort due to the option of having an apartment which has been fantastic with our two children, the sleeping arrangements and space.
However there have been many things this time which have really let the hotel down especially in comparison to others that we have stayed at. Firstly when my husband went to use the spa facilities one day he was told that it was chargeable. We were not told this prior to booking and so were very shocked that this was the case especially when we are used to the facility being included free of charge in other resorts in Dubai. The Laguna Taverna is now closed for the summer, we were not given any warning that this would close during our stay. We had looked forward to eating there and would have eaten there earlier in our trip had we known it was going to close. The bar part is not open to children either so it meant we have not been able to go there at all. Room cleaning standards aren’t very high, not once has my son’s cot sheet been changed or been made up since we’ve stayed here and we are here nearly 2 weeks. It seems that the main beds get made, towels changed and this is it. Some towel animal decorations would have been nice for the children as we have experienced elsewhere. There are no free bottles of water or ice lollies around pool unlike other hotels.
For our anniversary my husband arranged a decoration in our room as a surprise for me. He booked this with the hotel for 11am. When returning to the room at 12:15 the cleaners were still in there and I walked in on them doing the decoration which completely ruined the surprise. This was very disappointing especially as my husband paid a lot of money for it. It was not completed until 12:30, 1.5 hours after it was supposed to be done.
All in all the hotel is great if you require a large room and more space, the pools and beach are lovely however it really doesn’t meet the same standards of other 5 star hotels in Dubai and there have been quite a few occasions where we have been disappointed.

We travelled from the UK and stayed for 6 nights over the Christmas period. We had two children (2 & 9). We arrived at the hotel at about three in the morning, after a 4 hour drive to the airport and then a seven hour flight there was no bottled water in the room on arrival nor throughout the whole stay. Our cot did not have a bumper around it so it resembled a dog cage.
We stayed in apartment block three and our apartment smelt damp throughout the stay.
The room was cleaned late afternoon (after 4pm) not acceptable when you return back to the room at that time to ensure your little one gets a sleep and they want to clean the room on your arrival.
The room wasn’t cleaned 1 of the days so we did not have fresh towels.
We had a transfer booked for 23.30 and has requested to keep the room on to ensure that we could allow the children to have a sleep before the long travel home, we were told by a unhelpful receptionist it wasn’t possible, it then became possible but only till 5pm and for a fee of over £200.
We checked out at 1pm and we were told we could continue to use the hotel facilities, we lounged by the pool till 5, then took a shower in their gym before going down to dinner at the buffet, we were denied to eat there as we had checked out! This is disgusting and not what you expect from a 5 star establishment. Reluctantly they let us dine after an argument.
From 1900-2330 we had to sit on the sunbeds and try and let the children sleep before our transfer. No lounge or family room for late departures.
This is our second visit to this hotel and it’s gone down hill, we will not be returning.
If your looking for Dubai then book the raffles on the palm as that is where we will be booking again next year, that is five star. This is not!

Absolute luxury from start to finish. Felt like royalty for the week. We stayed for 7 nights with our 2 and half year son and we did not want to leave. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout with the most amazing smell as you walk indoors. If we didn’t want to go and explore Dubai we could have stayed in the resort for the whole week. Fantastic selection of restaurants with the world eatery and hoong lang being highlights. We stayed half board and could choose from lunch or dinner each day in whichever restaurant we wanted, even around the pool or beach. Staff were all polite and wouldn’t let us lift a finger, going above and beyond to make our stay feel out of this world. Always smiling and helpful. Special mention to Nabil in the world buffet treating our son like a king. All cocktails snd mocktails were made exceptionally by a variety of bar staff.I proposed to my girlfriend whilst in Dubai and requested a petal set up in the room which was presented fantastically for a reasonable price and 2 great tasting complimentary (and huge) cheesecakes brought to the room. We were already looking at booking again before we left and will defo be returning ASAP. Thank you Sofitel for a special week.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the gentlemen at the door, and the hospitality continued throughout our visit. Every aspect of our stay was characterized by excellent service and friendliness.
The staff at restaurant Manava were especially hospitable. A special shoutout to Mr. Han, Mr. Prakash, and Mr. Waqas for their exceptional service and warm hospitality. Each morning at Manava, we were treated to fresh fruit and salmon, and they served us coffee without us even asking, perfectly brewed every time. This made breakfast a truly delightful experience. The food at Manava was outstanding!
The other restaurants in the hotel were also top-notch. We dined multiple times at restaurant Moana, where Prinson and Bader provided us with delicious lunches and impeccable service.
The rooms were kept perfectly clean, and all the pools were supervised by attentive lifeguards, which is crucial for families with young children.
This was our second visit to Sofitel Dubai The Palm, and we hope to return for a third time

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Beautiful views from where the hotel is located, I gave it a 4.7/5 because it is located in The Palm and you do need to take a car to get to most places in Dubai as Dubai is very big with many things to do.
The service couldn’t have been better. I would like to thank Sani for checking my friends and I in, he was very welcoming and every receptionist should welcome their guests as such. Another massive thank you Promise, he was extremely helpful during my stay and gave me an in depth and personal tour of the hotel. Promise was very eager to assist us from booking activities to handling our luggage. It’s very rare to come across staff such as Sani and Promise.
I have no complaints about the room I was in. Very well designed, spacious and comfortable. The view from my room was breathtaking!
I booked the hotel stay as a package and the cost of the room itself was very affordable when considering what I was receiving, I was impressed.
Lastly, the facilities were endless. Gym, spa, swimming pools, restaurants, tour guides, etc. The rooms themselves also had everything you would need such as an iron, shower gel, cream, kettle, etc.
I would highly recommend and would love to visit again. ‼️ My advice would be to be prepared to use cab frequently if you plan on leaving the hotel because this hotel is located at the northern end of The Palm ‼️
