I landed in this 4 star hotel about 9 pm on the 15th November . There was a coach load of folks to check in . This gave the hotel management the perfect excuse not to provide meal , but instead give us a packed ‘supper’ . It was paltry . Okay I know it’s nots easy checking in a coach full of tired weary travellers but what really made me quite cross was that this weary traveller lugged her luggage all the way to room only to find ‘key’ not opening door . I trudged all way back to reception and all I got was a very insincere ‘sorry’ , but no madam have a complimentary drink on us . It gets worse : on my way back I met an elderly gentleman on same trip with mobility issues . He had already been back to reception . So I went with him . It was only when I mentioned the magic words ‘trip advisor ‘ that Tribor , or Sibor , sprung into action and agreed to accompany us to rooms . That is why my rating is average and not poor !!!

Arrived at hotel to find out that our booking had been moved to their sister hotel because they were only taking group bookings and the spa had closed so they were now only a 3 star. Disappointed as hotel we were moved to didn't have pools onsite... we had to go to another hotel. We also looked onto a shopping complex before the sea views from our balcony at new hotel. On the positive the staff were lovely and organised free taxi to new hotel.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like about this hotel or our stay; it was like stepping into a clam oasis. The staff were professional, friendly and approachable - nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good with interesting touches like a honey comb on the buffet at breakfast. Although there were the staples on the buffet, there was lots of variation. We stayed 14 nights for BB&EM and didn't get bored. Plenty of options for dining indoors and outdoors (both under cover and closer to the pool). We never struggled to get seated. Again, the service was excellent. The hotel is really spacious and comfortable and we had no trouble finding quite areas for relaxing/reading/sipping cocktails in the evenings and on chill out days. There was never any difficulty finding a sun lounger either. The grounds/domestic staff worked tremendously hard to ensure the hotel/pool areas were clean and comfortable. Likewise the housekeeping team made sure our room was serviced as we wanted it. All the elements worked together to give us a fabulous time and we returned home feeling refreshed. Thank you to all concerned.

What a fabulous hotel. The views are absolutely stunning, the staff are wonderful and the breakfast has everything you could want. Lots of gluten free items too. Dinner is buffet service so a bit noisy. Would have much preferred waiter service. Beds are really comfy. Mini fridge in the room which you can put your own things in and tea and coffee making facilities too. Bus stop outside the hotel takes you to the old town. You can buy tickets in the hotel shop. Only 1.73 euro. Lovely coastal walks from outside the hotel. Short walk down to the beaches or along towards Lapad. Fab views. Entertainment every evening in the lobby bar. Finishes at 11pm. Bit noisy if you want to go to sleep before then. Highly recommend. Would stay here again.

Brilliant hotel, good location with stunning views and facilities, All staff very friendly, especially Marina, the Maitre “D for the restaurant, Happy smiling face every morning and evening, all the waiters and chefs just can’t do enough for you especially Ivan one of the head chefs, he was very accommodating delivering excellent customer service. The rooms were excellent and the bed pillows were the softest I’ve ever put my head on, Very good location, only 2 minute walk to the bus stop to catch a number 6 bus that takes you to old town Dubrovnik for €1.5 single journey but can get crowded on return journey. Lots to see and do, boat trips to the islands are a must and all reasonably priced. Brilliant hotel and holiday location. Thank you to every member of staff for making our stay with you special. Brian & Carol.

Lovely hotel, rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are all welcoming and friendly. Beautiful views from some of the rooms and also the pool area, 2 infinity pools that look out over the sea, would definitely stay here again. The food is nice for a hotel buffet, however you do need to buy all drinks at dinner time including soft drinks and bottled water which are on the pricey side. Good location, it’s a 10 minute taxi from the old town which myself and my partner used Uber to get to and from, the cost was roughly €8/€10 each way which isn’t too bad. All in all, would definitely return.

Lovely hotel, recently upgraded, but looked like an IKEA showroom. Ambience is quiet and a bit pretentious. They also do not promote the fact there are other restaurants close by. Theirs is a buffet (canteen like) and a set charge of 30 euros. We went on a 2 minute walk and found an amazing Chinese restaurant - AISA, lovely food, waitress service and cheaper than hotel. There are also a few others nearby, just as nice and a lot cheaper.

We enjoyed 10 days holiday at the Argosy hotel. As previous reviews have said the hotel is comfortable and very well run. There is great wifi which is exceptionally easy to login to on arrival. No deposits are required for pool towels. We would have preferred a fridge in the room rather than a mini bar but otherwise we were very happy with our bedroom and shower room. There is not much in Babin Kuk except hotels, expensive bars, a mini-market, ice cream shop and bus stops. However there is a beautiful promenade walk into Lapad beach area where there are lots of café bars. Unfortunately the old town of Dubrovnik is packed full of tour parties. It seemed that there were 3 or 4 cruise ships in the harbour every day. We had visited it about 20 years ago and enjoyed the experience much more then. We took a boat trip to Cavtat from the old port to escape the crowds. The sea views are amazing.

Brilliant hotel, good location with stunning views and excellent facilities Really enjoyed everything about this hotel, All the staff so very friendly and helpful and eager to please you, especially at the restaurant where Marija, the Maitre D with a happy smiling face greeting you every meal time, and all the waiters and chef’s that can’t do enough for you, again especially Ivan, one of the head chef’s, He was very accommodating. I have to mention the bed pillows, they were the nicest pillows I’ve ever lay my head on. Location is excellent a 3 minute walk to the bus stop and a number 6 bus takes you to the very busy old town area at a cost of €1.50 single journey each, Lots to see and do around the area and all reasonably priced. Brilliant hotel and holiday location. Thank you to every member of staff for making our stay with you special. You won’t be disappointed staying here.
