The hotel and staff are wonderful. I was in Antigua for a wedding and aside from the wedding reception being at Pensativo, I also had a room at the hotel. The wedding was beautiful and the stay was comfortable. I can't complain about this place and would stay again!
Great Service Beautiful Rooms Amazing cleanliness Delicious food Loved everything about this place I will definitely return to this magical place!! I recommend it highly to anyone who wants to have a magical experience
Photos don’t do Pensativo House justice. It is a beautiful space. The little touches and attention to detail add to its luxury. Staff is wonderful and the restaurant is great too. We regret that we only stayed one night! We will certainly be coming back soon.
We went for a wedding and didn’t know what to expect and it was beyond our imagination. The service was incredible, every single person and everything we needed we received quickly. The hotel was clean and very central to the Antigua area. I would definitely love to come back!
We had our wedding here, and don't have enough good things to say! First, the space is absolutely gorgeous. The arches and architecture with the volcano back drop is truly gorgeous! Our guests ended up renting out the entire hotel, so it really felt like home for a few days! It was a quick walk into town and close to some great coffee shops. All of our guests felt like it was in a great central location, even our cautious travelers. Wendy (event coordinator) was even able to work with us to get COVID testing at the hotel, which made everything such a breeze. The breakfast is DELICIOUS, honestly one of the best in Antigua! For our wedding reception dinner we also worked with the kitchen to create a fully vegan menu, and everyone was raving about the food! We have gone back twice, and stayed in different rooms. All the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The views of the volcano are also amazing, on a clear day its a great spot to see some lava! When you stay here you also get access to the pool and gym facilities at Porta Hotel, which is there sister hotel right next door. Some of our guests felt hesistant about this at first, but honestly it is so close and so easy to get to, it's no hassle at all. It gives you the best of both worlds of a small boutique hotel and a larger hotel with more facilities.…
