The best place in Antigua , huge rooms , hot water in the shower but also in the sink !! Big kitchen and living room/dining room in the commun area, Nice back yard , well located , steff friendly and Daniel can speak a few languages . I was there for about 8 days in last january , it was perfect ...Oh and the breakfast are very good and generous .
Wonderful few days at Chez Daniel. The team is gracious and helpful. Fabulous breakfast to boot. Rooms are spacious in classic Antigua style. Just outside of town so much quieter but only a short walk to the Central Park. Pharmacy and sundry store one block away. It just doesn’t get much better that this.
Fantastic hotel and great value for money. Lovely big rooms, clean, comfortable with plenty of hot water. Breakfasts were so tasty with a wide choice of hot drinks, warm bread and croissants plus fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff very helpful and full of advice, even if not always physically there they were easy to contact on WhatsApp. Easy walking distance to a wide range of restaurants and the main square. First floor had great views of the volcanoes and we loved to watch Fuego regularly have minor eruptions. The owner was really friendly and checked everyone was ok each day at breakfast.
My partner and I had a great time at Chez Daniel. The rooms were incredibly spacious and impeccably clean. The bed was very comfortable. The courtyard is quaint, beautiful, and quiet. Daniel was great to talk to for information on Antigua, and offered many great suggestions. Breakfast was such a nice touch.
Quiet and peaceful with a great breakfast, big clean and well appointed rooms with lots of hot water and a great view of the volcano from the rooftop Terrace, interesting and attentive host, great staff. Chez Daniel is located in a quiet area, it has safe indoor parking and a nice garden. Antigua can be a bit hectic, so it’s great to have an oasis to unwind - Chez Daniel only has four rooms so it’s very private and a true bed and breakfast. I will definitely stay there again.
The room I stayed in was spotless and large with plenty of space for clothes and anything else. The bathroom was huge and had a big tub, good hot water and water pressure. Tall ceilings and from upstairs, views of volcanoes. I couldn't have been happier with my stay. Daniel and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful and I highly recommend staying here especially if you're planning a stay of several days or more. There's a kitchen available to use to prepare one's own meals as well. And the included breakfasts were delicious.
Charming place with polite and Cheerful staff, I’d rate Daniel as the best host ever. Facilities are clean and gorgeous. 15 minutes away from down down Antigua Guatemala (walking) I’d say is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway with your loved one.
We stayed at Chez Daniel for 6 nights and would recommend it. We'd been looking at places that had a kitchen available, but also hotel staff to assist with local info and logistics and Daniel's B&B was perfect! They sorted out our transport from the airport when we landed as well as our colectivo for when we left for Atitlan at the end of our stay. Breakfast was lovely and the setting was very peaceful and quiet. It's a few blocks away from the main part of town but a pretty quick walk. Great value too!
Very nice service and welcome, good quality-price, comfortable and large bedroom, French like-breakfast (with croissant ! 😀), fantastic view on the volcan, beautiful and quiet garden. Chez Daniel provides you too with information and advice on La Antigua. See you soon !
This B&B is a hidden gem. It is just a few short blocks from downtown and the Mercado, but is behind a tall wall with lovely green space to keep the noise and heat of the city manageable. The rooms are quite large, very clean, and all open out to the common spaces which on the first floor is a small patio/garden and on the second floor a balcony with views to the volcanoes all around. The staff speaks great English, proprietor Daniel is around to visit and answer questions, and the breakfast (included) is delicious. French breads to die for!! Also, 24/7 access to the kitchen, coffee service, refrigerator are all nice touches. If you are looking for cozy, quiet, quaint and a good value, you will be happy with Chez Daniel. If you want more hotel like services or something right downtown, look elsewhere. I would go back here next time I am in Antigua!…
