We’d read some mixed reviews and were curious to check a Selina out. The one in Antigua has a couple of positive things - the location, which is very central, and the beautiful garden and colonial style. The rest - the vibe, the dorms, the food is pretty average. The staff has a lazy/rude attitude, with the exception of a few people (such as the guy at the reception who was lovely), and no one in the staff shows your way around. There is a kitchen, yoga/gym area, cowork space, and we had no idea about it. Loud music goes on all day, the beautiful garden and dining areas are always dotted with dirty dishes or glasses, everything comes for an extra cost, from towels, to the cowork WI-FI, yoga classes etc. Not impressed, would not recommend.

Selina Antigua has a great staff. Very friendly and helpful. The pool is great. The food is great and it is close to everything in Antigua. Great Art Murals throughout the hotel. Definitely worth checking out and staying at when in Antigua Guatemala.

Lovely place! Great atmosphere! We especially loved the vibe at the bar. The manager Oscar makes everyone feel at home and never keeps you waiting for more than two seconds when you want to order something. Just a really really good experience. Hope to be back soon!

I have been traveling a while staying only as Selinas. This one by far has been one of the best! Wifi, although sometimes bad, the BAR CREW is absolutely lovely! Oscar, Bryam, Hillary, and Steph! They made my 2 weeks' stay in Antigua very pleasant and I am very thankful to have met them all. During hostel events, they would make sure all travelers are included in the fun. It was the most welcoming bar experience I had at any Selina. Extra shoutout Steph - always having AMAZING energy

Stayed by Selina Antigua for a few days. It’s an amazing hostel with a really nice vibe and waking up with the vulcano fuego next to you. The staff will do anything for you to make it a great stay. And they organise a lot of stuff to do! Definitly recommend this hostel for a great stay in the city centre of Antigua.
