I had a loft suite on the 14th floor of this hotel, which was only accessible with a key. As two women travelling alone, that made us feel safe. The novelty of having a spiral staircase for a full-sized bedroom and bathroom (no tub) was not only fun-but functional. There is also a full-sized (shower and toilet/sink) in the downstairs loft area as well. Access to the pool and rooftop bar was also a plus for these limited rooms. We never were disturbed by guests visiting the pool area behind the security door! The infinity pool wasn't huge, but just right for a day of lounging. We came during the rainy season, so the happy hour that was planned was cancelled, as there were showers (even briefly) every day. The one day that it didn't rain was also the day that we enjoyed the breathtaking views. The staff here are excellent. They were attentive, pleasant and overall seemed geniunely appreciative of the customers visting their establlishment. We were celebrating my sister's milestone birthday and she was lavished with attention from the breakfast staff. As vegetarians, the breakfast wasn't expansive, but plentiful with fresh fruit and tasty carbs like a variety of breads and sweets. There was an option of omelets, cheese and meats for the non-vegetarians. I had freshly made green juice every morning as a start to our day! This botique hotel is centrally located in Panama and close to several restaurants, grocery stores and roads. Nearby is a 24 hour diner, where there are prostitutes (which is legal in Panama) but we never felt unsafe, even walking alone at night. This was my first time visiting Panama, and I am so pleased to have been a guest at this hotel. The staff is wonderful!…
Nice small hotel in one of the busiest areas of Panamá City. Not great luxury but enough to please you. Rooms are well appointed and enough for a regular stay. The hotel is well kept. Very clean. The rate is acceptable for the area and hotel category. Breakfast is a bit more expensive but there are plenty of restaurants around where you can get a better breakfast for a lower cost. Special accolades to the rooftop bar and pool. Happy hour 5-9 and a nice DJ Friday and Saturday. The only minus were a slow check in and check out processes.
This hotel definitely met our expectations, my husband and I were celebrating my 45th birthday; it was our first time visiting Panama. We booked the 2 story loft suite, it was the perfect amount of space for a weeks stay. The 2 full bathrooms were great along with the work station and den area downstairs. The view was amazing, it was nice having the gym and rooftop pool on the 14th floor right down the hall from our room. The staff was very nice, they helped my husband with finding someone to decorate our room all while keeping it a surprise from me. Lastly, you don’t need a car, there are tons of restaurants within walking distance, the subway is around the corner and UBER rides across town range from $2-$4. It was a perfect stay, we had a blast! You won’t be disappointed if you decide to stay here.…
Stayed in this facility for 4 days due to great location in area bancaria. Rooms neat and clean, gym was decent. Pool a bit small but nice. Best part is the excellent attention and service from very friendly and helpful front desk staff - especially Sr. Javier. Highly recommend
We came here for a trip with 2 adults and one 10 year old child. We did the suite with the spiral staircase on the 14th floor to have some privacy from the 10 YO. He had a full bathroom downstairs and we had a full bath upstairs too. There are only 4 of these suits and they are all on the 14th floor which is also where the rooftop pool was which was super convenient. I felt like the rooms and hotel were clean and modern. Check in and out was easy. The only thing we didn't love was the location but we knew we were sacrificing that for price. If I went to Panama City again I'd probably stay closer to the water but this hotel was just fine for this trip.
About the hotel itself, it's ok. It's more expensive than a couple of other Marriott properties and has fewer amenities. Even the price without breakfast is higher, there's no bottled water, no coffee maker, no body lotion. The water in the shower is not warm. In other words, there's better value for money at other Marriott properties elsewhere in the city or other brands in this area. As for the area, I didn't like it at all. Dozens of hookers at night around this hotel, including many right outside.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 10 days in August 2021. He was here on business and was booked here by his company, so my expectation was that it would be a typical business hotel. Instead, we had a beautiful stay in what felt like home away from home! Highlights are, first and foremost, the staff! We encountered such lovely and professional staff throughout the stay - nothing was too much trouble, and they went out of their way at every opportunity to make our visit great. Secondly, the rooftop pool is beautiful and usually not crowded at all - I spent many hours lounging by the pool enjoying the skyline and reading my book. Thirdly, the food at the hotel is great and reasonably priced, as are the drinks (try the picante mojito, it’s excellent!). Finally, the rooms are lovely, large and maintained beautifully. All in all, it was a great stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back!…
The AC Hotel is very conveniently located for business travelers. They have excellent WIFI and the El Carmen Subway Station is just a couple of blocks away. Many fabulous restaurants, spanning almost all budgets, are within walking distance. My friend stayed here and this was a fantastic home base for all his needs.
I always stayed here despite the large offer of different luxurious and big hotels in Panama. This one was particularly special, as it was close to all my major clients, near the best restaurants and very lively nightlife. My last trip was right before Covid-19 in March 15th 2020 Looking forward to return to Panama as soon as Possible and stay here once again!
We stayed two times over our trip to Panama. Both times they were fantastic about accommodating us - holding our luggage, permitting late checkout when our flight was delayed. Rooms were clean and comfy and the rooftop pool was surprisingly gorgeous. Well worth the money.
