The place is fantastic, the staff is extremely friendly and professional. The place is well keep and the rooms beautiful. It would be nice to have a full body mirror inside the room. Breakfast is included and it was delicious. Great Location. It is definitely worth it but I wouldn’t recomend to stay at Room 6 because 2 of the 3 nights we get noise coming from the roof at 6:10am. It looks like they were cleaning and moving heavy chairs. We told them and they apologized and it did not happen again during our stay. The day we were leaving we were offered to take the breakfast box and they had it ready for us at 6:30am, they really went the extra mile. Definitely worth it :)

Nice hotel as long as you don't like sleep. The rooms share the same open-air courtyard as the restaurant and have very flimsy doors. It is very much like being in the restaurant. While it stopped serving at 11pm load noises continued throughout the whole night. We had to check in to another hotel just to get some sleep, Unfortunately the hotel would not refund us for nights we did not stay but did give us 10 dollars off dinner, but does leave us 490 dollars out of pocket.

Dear geeeezer, thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear once more that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially regarding the noise from the courtyard. We fully understand the importance of a restful night and apologize for the disturbance. We did offer a 20% discount on dinner last night, plus complimentary welcome drinks, and welcomed you to breakfast today, and we were happy to hear that you enjoyed the meal. It was also good to have the chance to speak with you directly once more. However, we feel the need to mention that your booking was made under a non-refundable rate, which is clearly stated at the time of booking, much like with airlines. We understand that the situation was frustrating, but we hope you can understand that this policy is in place to ensure fairness to all our guests. We’re saddened by the tone of your review, as it feels somewhat disingenuous, especially in light of the efforts we made to resolve the situation. We always aim to provide the best experience possible and hope that future guests can make their decisions based on all aspects of their stay. Thank you for your understanding.

Everything is small. Starting with the bedroom. No window, impossible to open the suitcase unless you put it on the bed. No place to put your toiletry bag. Toilet almost in the shower. Noisy and inefficient air conditioning. Otherwise, nicely decorated room. The restaurant is expensive but OK. Small and noisy restaurant room. Good ceviche, Mariscos without much interest. But the worst is the breakfast which includes coffee, a plate of fruit and a basic glass of water. For the rest you have the choice of a single addition to the menu. Not even bread or pastries, fruit juice… Nada… Unheard of for a breakfast. Note that the slightest supplement to the card beyond that authorized is still $15. In short, small, from start to finish.

The hotel is lovely and our breakfast server, Ilka, was so sweet and very attentive to our needs. She brought me a hanger for my purse and was so kind. The food was delicious. We love that there are only eight rooms and the designs and furnishings are authentic and high end. Entire staff have been gracious so far.

A really cool and beautifully designed boutique hotel with a definite vibe with a great restaurant but could it be better ? yes! We stayed in their best room with spiral staircase leading to bed - sounds great but in reality not practical as the bathroom is down the steps so in the middle of the night its really awkward and the bathroom looks great but is so small theres no where to put your toiletry bag - living room is again down the steps but the tv is up the steps - seems the small spaces led to design issues which are not practical to a guest. So if its sll about the look then its great snd the location is perfect and the staff are super friendly- food was really good but super sweet on my choices and the cocktails were great ! I wish the bed and pillows were upgraded as i had an uncomfortable night and leaving with a bad neck - some times looks aren’t everything and some comfort s for guests would be great too!

I travelled here as a solo women for work which can sometimes feel lonely but the staff made me feel completely at home and part of the family. I stayed in Suite 7, the attention to detail was beyond anything I’ve experienced in Casco.. I loved the way the pictures in the rooms were displayed, it felt like they took you on a journey of Panamá - showing you the essence and beauty of this country. The bed were so comfy and I’m very grateful for the staff for the room service, not to forget the incredible food from Chef Edy and the Team. I spent many sunsets on the roof top, observing the hummingbirds and relaxing in the hot tub after a busy day of work.. I would recommend Amarla to everyone and I can’t wait to return. Thank you to Maria and the whole team for creating such a unforgettable experience 🙏🏽✨

Dinner at Kandeela: Amazing experience. The warm welcome by Louis and the great service of Yenny were impeccable. The pulpo was cooked to perfection as was the seafood casserole. The kitchen is magic. The lava cake desert with special attention to our birthday girl was just the cherry on top. Great wine selection. Fantastic evening. Can't miss this experience in Panama city.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the hotel. It is located right at the heart of Casco Viejo but it remains nonetheless a hidden gem. It's quiet, well-decorated, and offers great and delicious food and even a coffee-making set with a proper coffee dripper, gooseneck kettle and ground coffee in the rooms. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive and you can see that they truly mean being like that without faking it. The hotel offers delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner in its restaurant downstairs and on the rooftop, there is even a jacuzzi. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you're looking for something unique, luxurious and comforting. You won't be disappointed.
