My pre-arrival communication via email was great. They responded quickly and in perfect English. This small hotel is conveniently located in Casco Viejo and within easy walking distance to many good restaurants and sites. It has an old Spanish colonial feel and is full of charm. Check in was quick and easy and the staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions about the area. We stayed in room #2 - a Santa Ana deluxe room with balcony. It is a clean and spacious room with high ceilings, a large closet, desk, mini bar, coffee maker, and in room safe. The large bathroom has a walk in shower with great hot water and L’Occitane toiletries. Complimentary in room wifi is strong and reliable. The bed is very comfortable. The only downside is at night, we could hear street noise and music from a nearby bar/club that mostly stopped around midnight. The management is aware because there are earplugs at the bedside. For me the noise was not terrible but I realize for some people it could be. Overall our experience at La Concordia Boutique Hotel was excellent and I would recommend staying here.

This gem is located in a very centralized location. Close to almost everything! Lots of food choices, shops and sightseeing.
Some reviews had complained about noise, and yes there were, but guess what? After visiting this location, I realized that none of the hotels were immune to the noise, even the more expensive one. Why? This is a party town. People here are happy and like to have fun! Worse on Friday and Saturday, but throughout the week, it is not as bad. We are seasoned travelers so we were ready for this kind of issue: we brought our bluetooth speaker. We put on brown noise and all that noise outside was masked 100% and didn't affect our sleep at all. However, there's a BOSE console that you can connect your phone to, so you don't need to bring one.
The room was impeccable. Very nice and clean. The bathroom was HUGE! At first, I didn't understand why, but after a bit, I started to love the size of it as it gives lots of privacy and is so much better than the usual standard size hotel bathrooms. Especially if you are sharing a room with another person. Nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and had lotion. All by L'Occitane.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. We interacted a lot with Miriel and she was exceptional. Gave us a lot of information about the city in general and where to visit, or where to eat, etc. We asked her about Bocas del Toro, and even though she's never personally been there, she sent us an email afterwards with recommendations of place to see and eat! I think she's the main reason for the 5-stars for this hotel. :-D
The only confusion was "breakfast included", which it wasn't and she didn't know what were talking about, even though on trip advisor it shows the rate with breakfast, even on the confirmation email. I think it was a misunderstanding because this hotel doesn't have a restaurant of its own. It's attached to a coffee shop, but that's about it. No biggie. Plenty of great foods to try.
This is definitely a place we'd go back to!

La Concordia is in a great location, easy walking distance from the key sightseeing spots in Casco Viejo.
Although we primarily chose it because it was the only property we could find offering two beds, we had a great experience there and would highly recommend it.
We were there only one night before departing on a cruise. The front desk staff was very helpful with recommendations for bars & restaurants.
We pre-booked the transfer from the airport to the hotel via the website and then booked a transfer from the hotel to the cruise port after we arrived; both of which went very smoothly and we thought were good value.
The room was SPACIOUS and well equipped. Even though our room overlooked the street, we found it quiet and peaceful.

I had a reservation for two rooms at this hotel, made and confirmed via Expedia. Unfortunately, due to a medical issue, we had to cut our stay in Panama short, so ended up having to cancel these rooms. The cancellations were made well over 24 hours before the check-in dates and should have resulted in a penalty of the first nights stay. This is also what the cancellation policy on the original reservation and actual confirmation of the cancellation from Expedia show.
The hotel already charged me the full amount for both rooms weeks before, so should be refunding me the amounts between what they already collected and the cancellation penalty. Even though all the documentation on this is 100% clear, the hotel still refuses to issue the refund. Per Expedia, the hotel should have never charged me the full amount to begin with, which leads me to believe that the intention was dishonest to begin with.
My advice: Steer clear of this place as they are dishonest. Also, Expedia has only of limited help here and have made it clear to me that they will not not take any responsibility in the end for this situation.

Dear guests, The first thing we will like to do is thank you for sharing this information with us. Our property has been open for more than 3 years, with almost perfect scores in all the customers platforms, it is a family run business and one of our most important value is honesty. After reading this comment, we went deep and investigated this situation since the beginning. There are a few points that we think are important for us to clarify: - Your reservation was made on September 30th, 2019 for 2 rooms with arrival on December 26th, one room for 4 nights and the other for 2 nights. - Both reservation were cancelled on December 25th, 2019 (It is important to mentioned that we use a channel manager, as most hotels, we receive all Expedia and Booking reservations from one system, according to that system, the reservation was cancelled on December 25th 2019 and they were under the following policies: No Refundable and 100% deposit to confirm, therefore, these were the rules that we as property followed (more than happy to share with you our documentation). We as a property, do not know the facts of your communication with Expedia, but we extended an email to them explaining the situation, making clear the information that was sent to us through our system and verifying the information in both platforms, clearly, this information wasn't share with you and until this message you unhappiness wasn't share with us, therefore, we propose a direct communication, because important facts were lost in translation. As a 10 room property during the festive season, we follow our policies and conditions strictly, after honoring your reservation for more than 2 months, a cancelation a day before arrival of 2 rooms, 6 nights prompted us to follow what is establish in our system. Sadly, we never were able to communicate directly with you, because the process of cancelation was made trough an intermediary, generating miscommunication between both parties. We are proud of our value and have always honor them, therefore, dishonesty in not a word that matches our property in anyway. We only stayed one night here but it was terrific. A funky boutique spot with an awesome rooftop patio/restaurant. As with almost every building in Casco Viejo, it's super historical and full of character. We had a huge balcony and an enormous room. Super clean, well-appointed and quiet (hotel anyway, traffic is another matter). That said, they do provide complimentary ear plugs so good on them.
Very central to walk anywhere in Casco Viejo and a VERY cheap Uber ride between Casco and Downtown Panama City so very accessible. Awesome night life and would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay in La Concordia in Casco! our hotel room beautifully combined modern and antique elements, creating a unique and captivating ambiance. The meticulous attention to detail throughout the room was truly impressive. From the fluffy bathrobes that made lounging extra cozy to the provided salts for the hot tub that added a touch of luxury, every aspect of the stay was well thought out.
The quality of the bath products added to the overall indulgence, enhancing the relaxation experience. The hotel's excellent location was a major plus, allowing easy access to nearby attractions and conveniences. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and both the room and bathroom were remarkably spacious, providing ample room to unwind. Highly recommended!!

We absolutely loved our stay at La Concordia Boutique Hotel. Everything from the rooms, service, and location was perfect. The rooms were beautifully designed and well appointed (Bose speaker, bathrobes, slippers, Occitane products in the bathroom). The service was beyond our expectations. Everyone was friendly and tried to accommodate our needs right away. Arcelio was amazing! No matter what information we needed, he was able to provide it and if he was not sure, he would research it and give us an immediate response. He provided great food recommendations including places with vegan options. The location of the hotel was excellent. Everything in the Casco Viejo was within walking distance and other city locations were no more than 8 minutes away via Uber. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will definitely stay here again when we come back!

I wouldn’t visit Panama City’s Casco Viejo without staying at La Concordia Boutique! Awesome location, spacious, well-illuminated rooms, and comfortable beds! Eva, Arcelio, & Miriel were very helpful with restaurant recommendations and expert advice on transportation options and cultural tours!
A particular highlight was upon arrival - we came from Bocas del Toro and with muddy clothes from our ATV adventure - Eva gathered our clothes into their laundry service and they came out in 12 hours as clean as can be! I assure you, La Concordia Boutique is THE PLACE to stay!!

My very first trip to Panama was perfect and sincerely, the staff at La Concordia helped make it so. Aside from answers pertaining to day to day comforts, the front desk team, Arcelio, Miriel and Eva were quick to provide accurate information, assistance and suggestions for my daily journeys. They even offered help before I asked. And fixed a few travel glitches for me.
Centrally located, this was the perfect place to stay. It was a short walk to everything. The property was elegant and comfortable. The amenities added to the luxury and the bedding was heavenly. Having two attached restaurants with varied dishes was a plus. I imagine this would be a huge plus in the rainy season.
As a female solo traveler, new to Panama, I felt perfectly safe at La Concordia. There is someone at the front desk 24/7 and the key card system they have in place makes for additional security.
The one thing I thought I would miss staying at La Concordia was having access to a pool or beach. Don't let this deter you. The staff was quick to mention that they could arrange a day trip to a pool or beach location. As it turned out, there was so much to do in Casco Viejo and around Casco Viejo, a pool or beach never again crossed my mind.
I recommend you have the hotel book your airport transport. They work with responsible drivers and when on vacation, you don't want the hassle of getting to and from.
On the flight home, I spoke highly of my lodging. I am so grateful that I found La Concordia and will absolutely book again upon return. And I can't wait!

This hotel is in a great location. It has bars and restaurants nearby, and it was nice to walk around Casco Viejo.
Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Immediately after getting into our room, I was very satisfied and felt the great attention to details involved.
Seeing how a historical building was restored, respecting existing architecture, and then turned into a hotel, made us happy we chose that accommodation.
It wouldn’t be fair not to give credit to Eva, who greeted us at the reception with the most welcoming attitude. Her recommendations were wonderful.
Definitely recommend. Great value for our money. We will return.

I don't see why not. But you likely will need to be with them when they come into the hotel or meet them out front to walk them in. While we were there you had to show you were a hotel guest to enter the lobby.
There is an elevator inside the hotel but to get in to the building you must go down stairs (maybe 6?). I’m not sure if there is an accessible entrance. In general, Panama doesn’t seem to be a very wheelchair friendly place unfortunately. While there, I met a gentleman from Canada who used a wheelchair and he commented it was difficult to get around. I don’t want to be a negative nelly, but wanted to share that.
