After reading some ‘Avoid’ and ‘Do not book’ reviews I was a little apprehensive having made an advanced booking some months ago.

I don’t agree with these. We did book the ‘Premier King’ room type though which I would recommend.

Our room was on level 6 (608) and upon check in was exactly as pictured. Check-in was efficient, but not uncaring. We were given eating tips as well as breakfast recommendations.

The room itself was quite clean, there were just a few long hairs on the floor which is a bit of a ‘trigger’ for my perfectionist nature. The bathroom is tight and a bit different showering with the toilet. After working out it’s best to remove the toilet roll before showering so it doesn’t get wet it was pleasant enough with good water pressure and the space saving design otherwise was not a detractor.

The mattress was lovely and firm with great firm pillows and the design is clever to maximize space.

Having a soak on the rooftop in the jacuzzi was lovely after a long flight and the complementary mini bar had soft drinks and snacks and a nespresso for first morning coffee.

The location of this hotel is excellent for exploring many major Singapore sights by foot. It is moments from Clarke Quay and the river walk which takes you to the Merlion and further all the way to Marina Bay Sands and in an easy hour or two you will have been able to cover these sights plus China town, some great hawker halls, some lovely temples and major shopping malls on foot.

If you want a Swissotel, Stamford, Marina Bay Sands or Sofitel major chain experience this hotel probably isn’t for you. But I personally found it to be a great option for being amongst it, with some quirks but ultimately a good small scale place to spend the night quite comfortably. Ask for a room on level 6 and book the executive option.

Check out was again pleasant and efficient. We were able to stay an extra hour until 12pm and the staff member ordered us a taxi and even took the time to write the taxi number and find out how many minutes away it was.

First staycation for this year and this new boutique hotel really took me by surprise. The room is really cozy with such a huge comfortable bed. We slept so well throughout the night. Loved the design of the modern toilet. Amenities were all provided and to top it off, all the minibars are complimentary! Didn’t manage to enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi but the location at the rooftop is great and we could enjoy our time alone by booking the jacuzzi exclusively for us. Please give this new boutique hotel a go! You’ll definitely won’t regret! The front desk staff are polite and efficient too. We’re also provided with miniature complimentary hand sanitiser which smells wonderful. Will definitely be back again.

Good things
Staff in reception (on the fifth floor) are friendly and always there.
Nice little outside lounge.
Location location location.
All the snacks and drinks in the mini bar are free and are replaced if you use them free of charge.
The shower temperature control works well.
The mattress is just firm enough, but not too firm.
There is a hairdryer.
The lady at reception lent me an umbrella for the day at no charge.
Did I mention location? It’s great.
Not so good things.
There is no USB charging port in the room despite me having been told that there was
The air-conditioner is so noisy it sounds like there is constant rain on the roof.
The single room is so small That I can almost switch the kettle on while I’m sitting on the toilet. (Handy to save time I guess)
While we’re on the subject of toilets, a toilet brush is just the decent thing to do but there is no brush.there’s no spare roll in the room either.
The long black hair on the bed cover and the towels when I arrived do not belong to me. I have short hair.
The room is superficially clean but not really clean for example there are coffee splashes on the wall and the corners of the room are gathering dust.
The gap under the door lets light in from the hall and does nothing to mask the noise of people in the corridor, notably the cleaner. When she gets up, everyone gets up.
The one teabag and one coffee pod allowed per day is not replenished before 24 hours no matter how nicely you ask reception. If you drink more than one cup of tea a day, buy your own.
The duvet offered as bedding is simply far too hot. I removed the duvet from its cover and just slept under the cover with the air-conditioning on.
The pillows are high and hard, both of them. I didn’t pursue any other options but luckily had brought my own blowup pillow.

Can’t say I was overly impressed at all. For a heafty price tag ($250SGD) for 1 night, the room was less than adequate. I’ve not stayed in anything smaller ever. After opening the door, things went downhill from we couldn’t even get the bags through the door without moving them into them into the shower area. There is just no space.

Once inside, we noticed the bed makes the room feel so tiny, pressed right up against 3 of 4 walls. The toilet is INSIDE of the shower, which makes no sense to me at all. Nor does the faux wood flooring of the “wet areas”.

Alarming to see a hotel that has only just opened with what appears to be mouldy plasterboard in said “wet areas” as a result of inadequate waterproofing. I’m no expert, but I know exposed plasterboard should not be in an area like a shower.

Was also disappointed to find building dust and hair on the floor in both the “bathroom” and the “bedroom”.

The bed was comfortable although tiny. This was not a problem for us being only 5’ but for the average adult, super not ideal.

It’s location is decent and the free mini bar is a plus too, but there’s not much more than that, that is positive, especially given the price.

Disappointing for what I had anticipated to be a really great new hotel. Very different size-wise compared to the artist impression images of the room that were provided at time of booking.

Dear jaemschofield, It is with much regret to hear about your experience. Please accept my sincerest apologies. At Hotel NuVe Elements, we pride ourselves on the level of personal service that we are able to provide. So you can imagine my disappointment when I received your feedback. The date that you stayed is a super peak period in Singapore, hence the higher room rate compared to normal days. As you may already know, Hotel NuVe Elements is a new hotel and I am glad that you informed us on this matter for our improvements. With that being said, I am glad to inform you that the issue with the bathroom has since been fixed :) I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again in the future. You have my assurance that the next visit will be an improvement from your recent stay. Please use our promo code "nuvegroup35" on our website for exclusive deals for your next stay. Hotel NuVe Elements markets itself as a new, renovated hotel but that is false. The rooms are tiny and dirty and have seen better days. The entire wall in our room was bubbling up from water damage and the paint was peeling off. Our shower was clogged with the water not draining at all and our room was not cleaned on the second day. When I went up to reception to ask why housekeeping had skipped our room (we had no toilet paper, soap, clean towels), they tried to blame us and say we put the Do Not Disturb sign up, even though we didn't. The overall hotel just looks like they gave up on maintaining it a long time ago. Avoid!!!

Stayed here for a couple of nights and the location was great, easy to get around and I personally found the staff to be helpful whenever I needed something. The room was small and there was a bit of noise from the bars and traffic below but my room was facing the road. Price wise was a little high but it is difficult to get value for money hotels in Singapore. At least I enjoyed my stay.
Thanks Matt from Sydney

Rooms smell musty and mouldy, linen smelt and felt damp. Rooms are very noisy and are tiny. i had to put my case under the bed if I wanted to be able to walk around. Overall, it didn't seem as if the room was clean.
Staff don't seem to care really.
Avoid at all costs.

Room was crammed on 3rd floor and nothing like those shown in website. Washing basin was just beside TV - this is first time I have seen a hotel squeezing a basin next to TV. Filmsy thin looking curtains could hardly shield view from cars passing by the hotel. Ceiling was dripping water. Informed the staff but he didnt seem surprised. For that quality, they are worse than budget hotels which are priced lower.

I booked here in late July. The room was NOTHING like it appeared online - mould & an old toothbrush in the bathroom, hair on the bed, concrete on half the floor and rooms were tiny. A camera was still up in the room (although not working) I think they used these rooms for Covid quarantine. Not to mention the whole place felt dodgy and not at all like a hotel. I was catfished!

I am not picky and have stayed at hostels in Europe and never had an issue. I was disappointed and left scrambling to find new accommodation at last minute.

I stayed at this hotel specifically for the hot tub. The hot tub was moved from 7th floor to 5th and not usable because of maintenance needing to be done on 7th and 6th floor. My room had dirty floors and shower. Toilet was disconnected from floor which made it wobbly to sit on. The rooms are much smaller than i expected. This stay was NOT worth the money being charged.
