I recently stayed in room 110 and 114 from 24 – 26 Jun. I couldn’t find words that could adequately described and summarized the disappointment my kids and I went through. 24 June Room 110 was the 1st room I checked in to and we realized the curtains that lead to the plunge pool could not be drawn open and the curtain rails were rusty. Next, we observed multiple stain marks on the walls across the room and top of the cabinet below the TV. The final straw was when the wardrobe door came off and hung precariously by the top hinge. I could only count my prayers that the kids weren’t in front of the wardrobe when it happened, the thought that the wardrobe door could have crushed my kids in the hotel room still shudders me till this day. I requested for help through the hotline and 2 engineering technicians came shortly. However, after struggling for close to an hour and with their limited command of English in trying to tell me what the issue was, they still couldn’t fix the wardrobe door. I resorted to requesting to speak with a guest service manager – Mr Nigel came and apologized. I showed him all the problems I faced with room 110 and I couldn’t accept continuing to stay in the room. Mr Nigel offered me a room change and Mr Sebastian B (Director of Rooms) was also informed of my feedback. I appreciate Mr Sebastian B coming to my room personally to meet me and see to my room change to 114. The room change to 114 was smooth, but I was equally dismayed 2 hours after I settled in. The bedside reading light was poorly maintained and in a pathetic state (Refer to pic). While there are still wall stains around the room, I have lowered my expectation of W at this point and beginning to accept the stains. The mini-bar trolley has mouldy/decayed rubber hinges (Refer to pic) which the sight would simply disgust anyone. If these wasn’t enough, I realized the TV screen in the bathroom has strange hued colors and couldn’t be adjusted. The TV volume is broken. I informed the guest service manager and was informed the issue will be attended while I left the room for dinner. Unfortunately, the bathroom TV problem remained after I came back to my room. I was told the TV screen color issue couldn’t be resolved as it’s a hardware issue and there are no replacement screens available. While the volume of the TV came on, but a new issue arose. The volume couldn’t be tuned. And a volume of the shower TV continues even after the TV is off. Again – I informed the guest service manager (Jim) and he brought along another technician from the Engineering department to my room. It was unresolved still. I gave up. 25 June Just went I thought I have gotten used to the sorry state of room 114, I was met with a new surprise when I tried to change out the toilet roll. The center pin of the toilet roll holder came off and disintegrated to 3 different pieces (Refer to pic). Who designed this? The center piece for toilet roll holder should be simply that instead of a jigsaw puzzle? Next, we experienced problems with the TV remote in the room as it was unresponsive. We couldn’t change the channel nor adjust the volume. Again – I rang up the hotline and a new technician from the Engineering department came to my room, he first tried to change out the batteries, it didn’t work. Next – he tried to replace a new remote, it didn’t work as well. And finally, he lectured me using his limited command of English – telling me that I need to stand closer to the TV so the remote would work. I was appalled. If I need to stand close to the TV to operate it, what is the use of the remote? I couldn’t communicate with the technician due to his poor command of English, I decided to inform the guest service manager again. Mr Nigel came to my room and gotten another senior technician from Engineering to attend to the issue. The senior technician eventually replaced the set-top box and the issue was eventually resolved – but at expense of my time. The 2 nights with W left a terrible taste in my mouth. The time I spent discovering room defects, supervising the repairs – is time I am supposed to be with my kids and enjoying the amenities. The whole W experience left a lasting negative impression with my kids, and my 6-year-old in her limited vocabulary commented that W hotel should be renamed “Scam” hotel. I invite the management team of W hotel to take a personal tour of the hotel rooms, put their hands to their hearts and ask if they are willing to spend more than $1k per night in a room filled with defects, unsightly cables (Refer to pic), rusty curtain rails, stained walls and mouldy minibar. Next, speak to the Technicians from Engineering to see if they could understand their command of English and whether they are adequately trained to handle their work and at the same time expected to interact with guests. They could also try asking themselves if the housekeeping team is doing their job of ensuring rooms are inspected prior to assigning to guests for occupancy. Lastly – they should ask themselves if these problems are results of systemic failures. If a brand can’t deliver its core product, I think the brand has failed. I personally wrote to the management team of W hotel on Tue (Specifically to Mr Yazid - Head of Engineering and Mr Robert Conte - Director of Operations) but 2 days have passed without a single response. This episode reveals to me a lot about how the hotel is managed.…
The W Singapore is one of the first few W hotels in Asia pacific when it first opened in 2012, it's part of the so-called "2nd generation" of W hotels when the former SPG opened it. Even though it's been a decade since its opening, i did not see any signs of wear and tear, the property is very well-maintained. The design and lavishness, in my opinion, do not feel outdated, the floral theme design feels timeless, flamboyant and chic. Normally, the first sign of aging of a property is their carpet, and nope, their carpet looks pretty good to me. I cant tell whether the wallpaper color is the result of discoloration or not, but it definitely compliment the overall design of the decor. Wonderful location for those who would like to be near all the action sentosa offers, but not down right in your face. It's right beside the yacht-filled cove, guests and I get a sense of opulence, that we are in the "Expensive" area, well it actually is. Customer service is top-notched, reminds me of the Legendary Singapore Airlines, which no request is being rejected but at least attempted. This hotel offers the true Singaporean Hospitality, which is filled with smiles and positivity. Many of the old SPG elites, you can rest assured that your stay will feel just like before, if not better. Status recognition is very strong here, its hard to beat complimentary "All you can drink happy hour" for platinum and higher elites, although u really shouldnt Drink all you can. Breakfast is amazing, a semi buffet, with hot dishes order-on-demand. Lots of Singaporean influenced dishes, like Crab Meat Egg Benedicts, Chilly Crab egg, and many local dishes. I have yet to see any W hotels out there who have better, and more fun breakfast items than the W Sentosa, and I have stayed in a lot of Ws before. The Pool is massive, think of those All-inclusive resort with big swimming pools in the Caribbean and Cancun. It even has a slide. Those adults who are young at heart, you will have lots of fun here. Amazing prices with out-valued amenity. This is probably the best "Vacation-type" hotel Singapore Offers. It is one of the Locals' favorite in fact. All SIngaporeans know about the W hotel. And this review is gonna be inconsequential, as guests will still come visit regardless. But if you would like someone who is well travelled like myself to give u my take, in my opinion, this hotel is highly recommended when visiting Singapore. Yes there are tons of lavish hotels in Singapore mainland, but those r not resort-type. You cant compare the Raffles and Fullerton with the W, they r not in the same category. Overall this stay of mine is excellent. I cant think of any other W off my mind that is better than this one. The customer service level, food quality and options, elites recognition and facilities. I simply dont recall any W with a bigger Pool than this. The W Ibiza and W Algarve are much newer, but their pools are no where near this size. W Sentosa kept their pool very well maintained This W will be the one I share with people around me for the next few years and its a shame it took me so long before visiting. I want to thank the following people who made my stay a wonderful and memorable one. -Sebastian & Dennis (Room operation) -Edvinna from "The Kitchen" breakfast Thank you so much for your hospitality!…
We stayed at W Sentosa on 25-26 June. All in all a delightful family staycation starting from the moment we stepped into the hotel reception. Special shout out to Front Office Manager Nigel Teo, who exudes warmth and professionalism. He walked us through the facilities as well as car park matters. It being a peak hol season, Nigel promptly assisted to help us arrange breakfast timing that was convenient to the family. He is customer oriented; seeing we have a child, Nigel kindly extended an ice cream for our child. Everything was well arranged by Nigel. From getting us a room, to breakfast arrangement, to getting our welcome drinks and ice cream for child, Nigel ensured that our stay was pleasant from the onset. A good host, he made sure that our luggage was sent to the room while we spent time at the pool. Room, with a huge balcony, has a paranormal view of the pool and distant yachts. The room is clean and spacious. It being our anniversay, the room came with a pleasant surprise filled with balloons and a cake. The pool experience is also great! The crew is always available to attend to guests. Thoughtful pool feature: They provide sunscreen! What a wonderful initiative! Room service was prompt. Breakfast spread is sumptious! Must stay at W sentosa! Thank you Nigel Teo and W crea for making our stay W-onderful!…
A very relax and peaceful place to stay. The restaurant staff Wai Meng very attentive and remember what my preference after my first day of stay and subsequent stay she will bring my preference ornaments. Very impressive and happy that W Hotel staff are so well trained. However the furniture like the wardrobe in my room is not functioning well and house keeping not organised just throw the packets of the toothbrush comb set etc at the toilet top and the hair dryer not kept properly.
Stayed for 2 nights at the W hotel in celebration of our marriage, & enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Service staff were pleasant, room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the service hotline was very prompt in providing us with what we need/want. Especially love the settee in the room which I personally enjoy sitting on and just enjoying the view, & the food at kitchen table! Shout-out to Wai Meng of Kitchen Table for being so friendly and passionate in providing her service, making us feel comfortable and at home.

We saved our W stay for the last part of our trip. This is our first time overseas again since the pandemic and our experience at W was a great finale to our time in Singapore :) Mr. Nigel, who attended to us at check-in, is a huge reason we got off to a great start. We appreciated his kindness and special attention to our needs, remembering my daughter’s name, and just generally leaving a great first impression of customer service. Rooms are very comfortable, spacious, super clean, and well-maintained. We all had two glorious nights of high quality sleep! We enjoyed the food at The Kitchen Table for both our breakfast buffet and dinner. I appreciate the buffet for cold items and hot items made to order. Everything tasted good. We enjoyed our day by the poolside too, with the pool being big enough so it didn’t feel crowded or full at all. Both our spa treatments (Prana Vitality and Cove Massage) and the facilities were excellent. Really like the design of the hotel as well - it looked chic and at the same time welcoming. Overall it was a most memorable stay - our best so far in all our visits to Singapore. I would highly recommend the W and we would most likely stay again!…
its a great hotel - a bit too pricy for what it offers . pros - nice and big rooms. well appointed rooms . nice and large swimming pool beautiful marina behind the hotel great for an evening stroll - there are tons of bars and Restruents around the marina are - great vibe . there's a nice mall closeby so if you wanted to be out and about there's something closeby . cons they play loud music around the pool all the time - sometimes the noise permeates through the windows and doors and makes sitting in the room also uncomfortable . if you wanted to go and snooze around the pool be warned not possible loud music . you have to make reservations for breakfast - yes you heard that right reservations for breakfast . the hotel is far from the city - 20-25 dollar cab ride each way . the lights in the room are every color but white or normal warm yellow like most people have at home . the tv doesn't hook up too Netflix or any of your devices so you are stuck with whatever they have to offer . very limited inform dining their staff could do with a bit more of training in customer service .…
Just had a pleasant staycation with my daughter. Lovely large bathroom and cosy bathrobes made for good relaxation. The housekeeping was immaculate and the youthful staff was enthusiastic, kind and approachable towards all our requests. I did observe that the fittings and style of room was more for romantic getaway than for family though we perhaps picked the wrong style.
