A huge complex, very industrial experience. Best avoided if you value your privacy. Breakfast was a big mess, otherwise the processes worked quite decently. Half of the vendors on the island are on call at the hotel gates trying to sell you anything imaginable.

Private transfer they organize to/from Caticlan airport well worth the 700 pesos one-way that they charge.

My third time going to Boracay, my first time was in Fairways & Bluewater Resorts, however it was too far, 2nd time we stayed in Villa De Oro, and for my third time, we stayed here at La Carmela. Our stay here at La Carmela was a clutch decision but a truly memorable one. We celebrated New Year's Eve 2022 at La Carmela. We stayed there for 9 nights. But I must say, some employees are not that dedicated and passionate with what they do, except for the security personnel who were all very accommodating. I myself, I am a front office agent, I can't even feel the sincerity with the service they provide.

I was actually expecting a lot from La Carmela since Mr. Boy Abunda has always been promoting this resort during all his shows, in addition to that, so many celebrities and even influencers have stayed in La Carmela and seemed to like their services. But, to my dismay, all my expectation weren't met, unfortunately. Food is average, our daily breakfast was always served ice cold, pool is massive and beautiful, location is priceless since it's near the beach and just near to everything else where. I just wished they can step up their services including personal services to their guests, most especially that there are already a lot of hotels booming as their competitors.

I know La Carmela has been there for countless years already, so why not make their legacy a good one. Overall, our room was okay, we waited for so long for our MUR, plus the ac in my mother's room is not functioning well.

Would love to consider this hotel once more as it is perfect for budget travelers like me. stayed for 9 nights with my partner, mother, and my sister, and we only paid PHP 25k for everything including their plated breakfast. I hope you consider all the points I have mentioned, See you soon, La Carmela. :)

I booked this thru online.

We we're expecting a lot from La Carmela since Sir Boy Abunda keeps on promoting this hotel during all his tv shows.

Anyway, if you can try to have more budget on your accommodation, pls pls don't book here at La Carmela. They will assign your room on their VERY OLD building.

We cannot transfer to other hotel since its already fully booked.

So we asked them if we can just have a room upgrade and will pay extra. We we're transferred to a better room and a better building.

Anyway, below are some helpful items before you book this hotel.

1. Globe signal is very low on the rooms.

2. Wifi only available on common areas (lobby and dining area).

3. FO (Front Office) staff and their FO head are not accommodating. It looks like they are not enjoying their job. We didn't hear any apology when we raised our room concerns.

4. On our first day, we requested for a wake up call and we didn't receive any call. Again, we didn't hear any apology from them.

5. Wide variety of breakfast, but no taste at all. No bacon, no choice of egg (other than scrambled) and the hotdog tastes like a very cheap brand. Knowing that their standard/premiere room price starts at Php 2,500++ per night.

6. Hotel is located on station 2, but almost on station 3. So far.

7. Incomplete set up on rooms. We have to call FO for towels. The FO staff who answered was just saying "Uh huh, yes" sounds like she don't know what she's doing.

We we're so frustrated to think that my companion and I are working in the hotel industry for almost 9 yrs, that is why we know how you should treat the guests.

La Carmela should take seriously these reviews and know how to improve their hotel and the attitude of their Front Office staff.

This hotel is really nice. This is the second time I stayed here with friends. Also the staff are all hospitable. They always make sure that all the rooms and areas were well-sanitized. I recommend you to try their amenities as well. I will surely be back here soon.

Better spend a little more and book in a better hotel of you want to relax in Boracay. This place is definitely a holiday bummer.
1. The room and the whole place has a strong smell of Downy Fabric Conditioner, sooo annoying to the nose.
2. There is no toothbrush/toothpaste provided
3. DEADSPOT. No celfone signal and no data connection.
4. Elevator created a screeching sound everytime it closes and opens. And it is under repair most of the time.. that's why one needs to use the stairs, ours was at the 3rd floor.
5. Staff were lousy and doesn't proactively assist their guests. Mga nakatunganga.
6. Do not consume the water provided in the hallway dispensers.. it tasted awful.. obviously, it was due to different dirty hands handling the bottle before it's placed upside down on the dispenser. It is dirty and gave us an upset stomach.
7. While I was talking to the reception, there was a huge cockroach crawling on the counter. It was so cringy and gross.
8. Breakfast food was just okay.
9. Glass provided was black plastic.
10. No slippers were provided for the guests.
11. Vault for valuables was not working.
12. Overcrowded. Definitely, a NOT To-Go-To place.

1. We booked a room thru agoda for a room where we can smoke from the veranda like any other hotels but we were told that they don't have and even agoda knows this. We told them that there was an option to select a smoking option room but decided to let it go.
2. My friends and I work remotely so we asked for the wifi password but we were told that it can only be used in the lobby not in our rooms which does not make sense.
3. We asked for the phone to be fixed in our room so for every inquiry we don't have to go down everytime but until the last day of our stay they still did not fix it.
4. When I went up to my room because I needed to poop, I was told that I could no longer eat my "free breakfast" that I paid for on Agoda because I went out of the lobby. I hardly ate and was told this. Awful service.
5. It was raining and we came from the beach and was told we can not enter their reastaurant because we were wet. We are at a beach island and it does not make sense to not allow your guests just because they are wet. It could have been nice if they offered a towel to dry us up but they just dismissed us.

Room was good, however needs sound proofing especially that it was just accross the generator set. Buffet breakfast have good choices of food, however, coffee was bland. The paper tag placed around your wrist during meals was just annoying. Due to uncontrolled number of guests, there is quiet a long queue when checking in/out of the hotel.

Affordable yet quality customer service. My husband & I checked in from feb 2-6, 2021. All we need were given right away especially when my husband got sick. A van was there to help us go to the hospital & the manager even gave us food, gatorade & banana for my husband's recovery upon our check out. Food was great for those who are not "maarte". They also offered us to move to a new room since we just knew i was pregnant for me to avoid getting exhausted from walking from building to another building. Thank you for showing sympathy to my husband even though its Henann's responsibility why he got sick. Thank you & continue to serve your customers well.

First, always check the availability of the room. They tend to change rooms or adjust rooms like for example we booked 2 deluxe rooms we were compensated with a big family room with 5 beds but 1 bathroom. 2. The wifi is kinda weak. Do not expect too much on their wifi and cellphone signal tends to get lost especially for Globe users. 3. Rooms can be confusing, 2 same rooms on the same floor but different wings so always locate the nearest elevators and stairs. Elevators also needs repairs at times. 4. Henna stains are a No no. They have absurd prices for henna stains on their items. 5. Buffet is good, just dont eat during common hours. Eat early or late (6-10)
