SAESAE is centrally located, just a stone's throw away from Kraton, the Sultan Palace, and located about 15 minutes from Malioboro street. Just a five minutes walk from Prawirotaman area, where lots of bars and local/international restaurants are located. A clean and cozy stay. SAESAE is a cozy homey hostel. The bathroom is shared, with a hot water shower. There is a common kitchen, at your use at all times. Coffee, tea and water are including in the reservation price. What makes SAESAE unique is our nice, happy sitting area outside to totally relax after sightseeing, to read a book, ... A hub for travelers to come together, where we'd like to encourage people to share their trials and tribulations of travelling over a cup of coffee or a beer. Our goals is to recreate the habit of looking strangers in the eye like they are future friends...

The smoothie bowl was very small, the ingrediënts where so little that it didnt taste like fruit, I orderd a dragen fruit smoothie bowl but it just tastend like mashed banana. The ‘granola’ on top were oats, wich They also used in the mash, so it was thick and didnt had the right structure.

What can I say more about Sae Sae? As a solo travel it is an excellent hostel to meet people. The garden is a great place to catch up with other travellers to make plans for the next days. The staff is very friendly and I really liked the design of the common rooms. Very Cosy. Apart from that it's easy to rent a motorbike and explore the surroundings such as Borobodur, waterfalls, etc. Definitely taste the banana pancake or the smoothie bowls in the in-house restaurant. Thanks guys for making my stay in Yogya unforgettable!

A very neat, clean and cozy hostel. Very strategically located to nearest warungs or foodstall and restaurant n other tourist spot. Host is friendly and they provide sightseing package as well. Jus cant tolerate d mosquitos at nite. Toilets r always clean n d u can always ask their opinions to where u should visit around jogja. I would recommend sae sae 2 any solo travelers.

Very cool oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Every decor is thought out and I felt very safe and comfy, staff were constantly cleaning. My own room was great with a fan and window. Staff are very friendly and glad to help or chat. It’s a quick walk to the Taman Sari water palace and a bit more to the Yogyakarta Palace. Shower was cool, Not much hot water but since it’s hot that might be ok with most people. There’s car space for a taxi to pick you up and bike storage. Yes there are prayer calls in the middle of the night on the street but this is all of Indonesia. Love this place!

We loved the hostel, nice clean room and bathrooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice sitting area outside. Only two things not so ideal are the location, it is in the south of the center and away from the station and main tourist area. And in the evenings there is music and fun, good if you like a party but not ideal if you want to sleep, the hostel is quite small so you here the noise everywhere.
