First time this year that I am back to GH in Jakarta. Front desk has improved. Room is as expected. Everything works well and service is great. BF is very decent and varieties are good. Best business locations in the hotel is lobby lounge and Burgundy lounge. Sumire Japanese restaurant is very good with extensive Sake selections.

All in all, things are good.

During this period. please extend some disinfectant hand alcohol gel in every room to assure the proper fight against COVID-19.

Grand Hyatt Jakarta located in the heart of Jakarta. 5 minutes walk from MRT/Bus Station.
Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall are under your feet.
You can feel your own privacy when you enter the hotel room while sightseeing view of Bundaran HI Jakarta, or you can enjoy your fresh drink by tropical atmosphere at swimming pool area.
Try to stay here on New Years eve, You will be dazzled by the attraction at Bundaran Hotel Indonesia.

Everything here is perfect, needs are being taken care of, they even provide prayer equipment and yoga mat for guests. Facilities are 100% great. The way they greet us at the entrance, and every time the staff bumps into you, they will always greet us with warm smile, it makes you feel at home rather than being back to a cold and empty hotel room after a long day of meeting/work.

The gym has everything you need, spacious and fully equipped. Even have sauna, private Jacuzzi for female only, personal massage room and masseuse. Love it every time we stay here.

For context, my night flight was substantially delayed so that I ended up checking in early in the morning (room was prepaid). I wanted to get a couple of hours of sleep before work meetings began. While checking in, I found that my Hyatt ID has expired, not because I haven't stayed at a Hyatt recently, I had, but because I usually reserve through travel agents. I have no record of being warned by Hyatt that my points were expiring, which is easy to check these days with email, nor being told that my number could not be used in prior check-ins. That was the first piece of bad news. The clerk ambivalent and just suggested I could sign up again if I wanted to. "If I wanted to?" The front desk manager had a more helpful attitude. So I was given the card keys. No room number written on the envelope. I found a piece of paper with tiny print indicating my room number. Headed to the room, I found that I was given only one key. The clerk didn't ask if I wanted two, which is normal in my experience, and which I did. So back to the front desk. Then the manager cautioned me that the keys only worked if they are kept in the paper sleeve and if they are held at a distance from the key reader. This is exactly the opposite of the last hotel at which I stayed, so it was an important instruction that I did not receive from the reception clerk when first getting the key. So I went up to my room. The door would not open. The lights would flash red and green, the handle would turn, but the door would not open. Tried both keys, same result. So back to the front desk, unhappily. I was getting frustrated and complained that they keys did not work. Then this big goon of a guard comes next to me to try to intimidate me. Really? The best that this hotel can do is to physically intimidate customers?
Of all things, this intimidation bothered me the most and prompted me to write this review. The Hyatt Hotel is not a nightclub and business customers should not be physically intimidated by a bouncer when complaining about check-in problems.
As a postscript, the manager did offer an upgrade in use of facilities, so I acknowledge his consideration. But all I wanted was a smooth check in and some sleep, which I am not getting.

Booked 2 rooms interconnecting (1 night and 4 nights) for holiday with family

Location is unbeatable. Right in the center of everything, interconnected to Plaza Indonesia. And just opposite another giant mall Grand Indonesia. Huge indoor playground in Plaza Indonesia that kept my daughter coming back every day. The only reason I chose this hotel this time. I would definitely be coming back only due to the location.

Staff at the lobby are helpful likewise the reception. Although I saw few times the staff at reception often taking photos - probably some of their friends visiting. I did find it a little unprofessional for doing it at the reception. But you will find this jokes and taking photo habit even in other 5 star hotels in Jakarta, seems like the norm. Just feedback for the management this can be “reduced” to maintain the professionalism of the Grand Hyatt brand.

First night one of the rooms booked leaked! It was heavy rain and the whole area of the window and party the working desk was flooded with water leaked from the roof (how is that possible for 5 star!) I was very disappointed having to move to another room as well. We had lots of stuff and a toddler and heavily pregnant myself - just irritating having to deal with this. Called the staff and asked them to clean and fix it. Staff also offered to move us which of course they should have right? So they did move us for the remaining 3 nights. But I would expect a little bit of apologetic gesture from the staff. No complementary or free perks at all offered by the hotel despite failed delivering 5 star property and experience. I hope my next stay won’t have to find the room leak again! Please do more frequent maintenance especially it’s rainy season.

Bathroom is spacious, housekeeping did excellent job in keeping room clean and tidy. Thank you very much!

The other excellent aspect this hotel has is the restaurant. This is my second stay and I noticed they refurbished the whole restaurant. Very very nice brand new restaurant. Breakfast selections also huge also geared towards more Indonesian cuisines. Staff at breakfast was professional, no chatty2, helpful. Just right, excellent.

Lobby is large and grande but overall it’s the time for refurbishment. Escalator and the looks of the overall lobby are dated.

So yes overall this hotel is still very good despite the hiccups, excellent for breakfast in their new restaurant and unbeatable location.

Before entered the hotel there some health protocols we should do such as check body temperature, clean your hand with sanitizer gel, and scan barcode. The reception counter put acrylic to protect the staff and on the floor there are mark so the guest have distance one to another. The room and the bathroom is clean. Overall good. Only onething i cann't use the swimming poll bcoz it's under renovation.

Another stay in pandemic days, this time it's the third hotel I've stayed that located in Hotel Indonesia roundabout. The previous two, also a luxurious five star hotel located around the circle so I expect either equal or greater experience. The hotel is currently undergoing a huge renovation so it's fabulous lobby with waterfalls hampered by huge hides covering the construction. Some of the rooms also undergoing renovation, some are done so it's better to book directly and ask for renovated rooms to have a better stay experience

The hotel strategic location is what makes it great choice for staycation. Close to two big malls so finding a restaurant should be easy. It's close proximity to Sudirman and Thamrin also make it easy to have a short run along these huge paved roads especially on Sunday's car free day.

Even when the room is already renovated, I believe some features were missing such as a rainfall shower, power key card (good for energy efficiency), and an espresso coffee machine. Other than that, the room looks great so felt so spacious. The room with roundabout view costs higher but I think the one facing the swimming pool was just as good. You can view the iconic roundabout just from anywhere in the area as long as your room is high enough.

The swimming pool is what makes this hotel shines. The huge, curvy outdoor pool with palm trees giving the feel of staying in tropical island right in the middle of the city

The Renovation room is excellent with the big glass window so we can have natural light into our room, the small and tidy wardrobe also the plus point and off course the big bathroom with the comfy bathup yet the separate toilet and shower room. The breakfast is also great with the friendly and helpful staff. Try the "Lontong Sayur" there as you'll be surprise with the taste as it's quite authentic. too bad for the choice of juices is quite minimal and the orange juice event not fresh.

I would like to share about my latest experience at Grand Hyatt, Jakarta, Indonesia. I've been staying in this hotel a couple times and very happy with the place and service. But sadly, I am extremely dissapointed with my last staycation ( 24 - 27 March 2022) here for several reasons.

First, I intentionally booked 2 rooms with Club Access. I've been informed that Grand Club Lounge is still under renovation during my stay but the Club Lounge benefit will be served Grand Cafe or Fountain Lounge. When I was checked-in, I asked the Front Desk Officer about the Club Access to confirm. She only mentioned that I can only go to Fountain Lounge for unlimited drinks. It is so different with the information that I got when I called the reservation team before I made this booking. So, to make sure I called the guest service again and they said I can choose between Grand Cafe and Fountain Lounge for my Club Access benefit.

At around 2 pm, I and my family went down for the Afternoon Tea. Our first choice was Grand Cafe, but the staff seems reluctant to get us a table and always refered us to the Fountain Lounge. She kept saying that the restaurant was quite full, we can only get the table near the entrance, the food selection at Fountain Lounge has more varieties. Then, we moved to Fountain Lounge.

But our experience at Fountain Lounge was even worst. When we said to the staff there that we have Club Access and we asked what drinks or food that we can order, the staff immediately said we can only order 2 drinks and 2 very limited snack option per rooms. I was so confused at that time because the information about the club benefit is very different. Even worse, after we ordered our drinks and snack, the waiter said that because we already used our drinks and food allowance, we will be charge if we had additional order. So, what's the point I'm paying extra for this Club Access benefit?

When I stayed at other 5 star hotel with the Club Access, I have very memorable and satisfying experience. The staffs are very attentive and polite. They keep offering drinks. The food selection at their Club Lounge might not much varieties but very good quality and taste. The food selection that is being served at afternoon tea and cocktail hours are also different.

Because of this amazing service and experience at the previous hotel, we decided to try the Club Lounge Access at Grand Hyatt and we really have high expectation though we know that Grand Club Lounge is being reno

I asked for a quiet room and the quiet room is so noisy that u can't sleep with the traffic noise .
I asked if this is the quiet room I asked for and they confirmed this was the quietest ! They offered me ear plugs though which means is a common problem.
This hotel has a very poor sound proof system , issue that has been highlighted by other TA reviews ! Learn from Peninsula Shanghai right at the busiest main road and no noise at all .
If u cannot sleep with noise stay somewhere else .
Hyatt , install a proper soundproof system !
Hyatt Management team , don't give me the B S standard reply U give to all reviews pls , just better don't reply than sending me a reply template .
FNB experience in Grand Cafe was very dissapointing too.
