Had a lovely stay (10 days) while had some minor renovations at home. The price was very reasonable for the vibrant location (smack in middle of Central close to escalator and Mtr) and despite lack of facilities which I did not have time to enjoy anyway (why sit by a hotel pool if you can go kayaking, for example), was really pleased with the hotel stay.
Service: Example of the great service here: Bell boy helped carry my luggage up the hill one block away where my Uber was waiting.
Food: Ta Vie is one of my favorite restaurants (on 2nd floor) Gradini one of my fav small quiet bars for drinks (lobby floor)
Room: 1501 was in a corner of the building and quiet. I had no common walls with other guests and while there was no view to speak of, it was high floor enough that I was looking at rooftops of the older buildings on Stanley. Never heard any noise from other guests or the streets except for the occasional sound of street cleaners early morning. The bathroom was more spacious vs expected and used elemis toiletries
I live really close by but it was still nice to be able to eat at my fav restaurants nearby (Mono, TaVie, Sushi Kohaku, Tate Dining, Sushi Haru, & Sushi Saito) and just go “home” around the corner.
I originally booked myself for 7 nights and decided last minute to extend 2 more nights.

I stayed one night in The Pottinger for a 24-hour staycation and absolutely loved it. Terrence at reception was amazing – genuinely friendly and kind, professional and knowledgeable. He made sure I had a more spacious Classic room as he knew I was also having to work for part of my day (a freelancer is never totally off duty). The room was stunning, the bed very comfortable, great products in the bathroom (Elemis) and the hotel seems genuinely eco-friendly. What impressed me perhaps the most was that even the free water was natural spring water in glass bottles, no plastic fake water in this hotel!
I also had dinner at Gradini, the hotel’s in-house Italian restaurant, fantastic food and good service. No breakfast at the hotel, but that really didn’t matter as it is located in the heart of Central so there are many options available just a stone’s throw away.
I will be back as soon as I next get the opportunity for a couple of days break from home, and will also recommend this hotel highly to any overseas visitor when we are able to travel again. Thank you to The Pottinger!

I stayed here with a friend so we requested a room with two beds, the hotel let us know to try and check in early to make sure we could secure that room type. We had no problems and very much appreciated it.
The location was great, lots of great restaurants and shopping nearby. Hotel room was spacious with a wonderful large bathroom, super comfortable beds and great complementary toiletries.
There is noise at night from the streets below but the rooms must be sound proofed because I could only really hear the music when in the bathroom, in the main area (once I closed the bathroom door) I couldn’t hear it.
Hotel staff were very helpful with recommending restaurants. Upon checkout there was some construction that prevented my Uber from getting close to the hotel so one of the men from the front desk spoke to my driver to arrange a pick up spot and then walked with me (with my bag) to where I could meet the Uber. So helpful!

We stayed two nights while some renovation work was done on our apartment. For just HK$1,400+10% per night we had a super nice room plus set dinner for two both nights and breakfast both days. Meals were in the Italian restaurant, Gradini, where the food and service was impeccable. The staff were so nice to us, too! We will definitely come back!

Just stayed here for 4 nights, was recommended by residents of HK. Not disappointed, location is great, literally right in the middle of HK with hundreds of restaurants, and MTR, trams and star ferry all within 10 mins walk.
Staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Reception and the Envoy bar especially. We didn’t have breakfast in our package but Mr Wolf and The Cupping room are within 5 mins walk and we’re both excellent. Room was on 10th floor, deluxe and on the corner. Clean comfortable and for a city centre hotel quite spacious. Usual lack of luggage space. Bed was comfortable. No complaints and would definitely recommend.

I have stayed at more than 10 different hotels in Hong Kong through the years from cheap hotels to big 5 stars hotels, but my favorite hotel is "The Pottinger" which has a wonderful staff where each member does an excellent job. I loved the interiors, - really elegant. The breakfast buffet is nice. The location is great. I strongly recommend The Pottinger! I always enjoy my visits to Hong Kong, but my visits are best when I stay at The Pottinger!

We were well received upon arrival, our room was upgraded for free. Our room is light and new, we both felt that the energy is good and comfortable. I am particularly satisfied with the bathroom and shower equipment🚿 It is spacious and well decorated. The one worthy of praise is the room attendant of room 706 (29 Aug morning), he/ she is so caring, attentive to details and sweet. Overall, the service attitude of the staff is very courteous and diligent. The only drawback is the poor sound insulation, the music of Lan Guifang next door is a bit noisy. It is good value for money. Their room rates are very attractive and competitive.

All staff members truly work as a team that is always very helpful and taking care of me and other guests. I like Sharon, Emily, Justin, Joseph, Andrew, Eddie, Evelyn, Davidson, Apple and Yan a lot and I do enjoy looking at Bonnie's welcome message on TV and reading the Directory with Gina's welcome message. I didn't hear anything in the bedroom during my stay. The position of the hotel is perfect, central HK.
Hi Steven, sorry there were no construction when we were there. Nonetheless, the area quite peaceful at night even though it’s located near to Main Street.
Thank you for your enquiry. We would like our guest to pay attention to a construction site locate opposite of Hotel.
Due to construction work, noise may occur during daily from 08:00am to 19:00pm Monday to Saturday.
There's construction on both streets although there wasn't any heavy work on the immediate street when I was there but it looks like there will be some heavy work soon. The work on the main street was quite loud and you could feel the building shake each time they drove in the pile. If you're there for a holiday and out during the day sightseeing, it won't be a problem as they stop work by the evening
