Detailed Reviews
A family of 4 stayed at Disneyland Hollywood Hotel over the Chinese New Year because to celebrate our daughter’s birthday.
Check-in was smooth and efficient. My youngest daughter was given a birthday badge and printed birthday card upon check-in; the person whom was checking us in noticed I had 2 kids and he gave me an extra birthday badge which I thought was a very nice gesture.
The room was better than I expected, it was clean and big enough for 4 of us. Toilet was ok size with combined tub and shower. We had a birthday cake made from towels and a Minnie mouse cuddly for my daughter’s birthday - she loved it so much! The room had 2 complimentary big bottles of mineral water provided with tea and coffee and other hotel basics eg slippers.
We had some food at the Studio Lounge. Food was nice but a bit pricey (which is expected at Disneyland Resort). Had fun at the Arcade Room and enjoyed a few activities set up at the Lobby. We also went over to Explorer Lodge Hotel and used their Nemo Recreation Room. It was spacious and clean with lots to do including slides, watching cartoon movies and other activities like make your own badge pin, playing bingo etc. Kids were given a Mickey shaped red packet with a giant chocolate coin (to celebrate Chinese New Year) after each session. Each hour they will have 15 mins cleaning time.
It was unfortunate that during our 2nd day all the indoor playrooms were closed due to the current Coronavirus situation. As there wasn't much going on we feel we were better off check out early and stay at home. I think the hotel has done a good job at keeping kids busy with good sanitation while their facilities were still opened. We hope to come back soon and get to experience the Story Room at Disneyland Resort.

We stayed in the Disney Hollywood Hotel for a night, during our trip to Hong Kong, once we were done with our day-long visit to the Disneyland Resort. My regret is we could not stay longer.
While the check-in took some time, we loved the decor of the hotel. Around every corner, there was a surprise with some recollection of a Disney character. The rooms were extremely clean, comfortable and had a classy feel. Everything from the bathroom linen to the complimentary slippers had the feeling of being in a fairyland.
The next morning, our buffet breakfast was even better as we were joined by some of Disney's most loved characters. For me, for a while, I felt as if I was reliving my childhood. It was a lovely experience and I would love to return, possibly with my kids!

We stayed at this resort for 2 nights prior to Christmas.
Tte room was comfortable for 2 adults and 2 girls, the beds weren’t great but it doesn’t really matter for 2 nights.
The biggest issue for us was the availability of decent, reasonably priced food from the hotel. The cafe was closed and the alternative was a very expensive buffet or a bar type meal. When we did eat at Mickey’s buffet, we were told after we had already begun that Mickey only visits on Fri - Sun nights. We also found that the reception staff weren’t very forthcoming with info on any of the Disneyland resorts eating options.
We do appreciate that the situation in HK has left the theme park and the hôtels quite empty but I was certainly expecting more for the price we paid!

The facilities and environment are new, and there is an instant hot filtered water dispenser, which is very convenient. Room service was also very attentive and prompt. The hotel activities made for an afternoon of fun. The air conditioning in the room is sufficient, the carpet is new and thick, and it feels comfortable. The bus to and from the park runs every 10 minutes, which is reasonable. The lobby has fragrance and feels elegant. Hotel guests can enjoy the facilities at the other two hotels, which is a very good arrangement, but the shuttle bus frequency must be increased. Other hotel activities are suitable for the whole family and can be enjoyed on the day you leave the hotel. You can still play in those 3 hotels and come back having fun. Hotel guests should get more discounts when enjoying hotel buffet or restaurant services. Guided activities such as light and shadow art tours should be promoted more.

I have stayed at two of the three Hong Kong Disney hotels, and I also stayed at the last one recently.
Disney's Hollywood Hotel reopened in July with a renovated hotel lobby and restaurants
Book one night in a standard room with breakfast (HKD 2282.93) via Trip.com
We checked in on Friday and could be directly assigned to the room after check-in at 3pm.
The renovated lobby has become brighter, and this hotel has an art-style interior design.
So you can see a lot of paintings of Disney friends, Pixar friends, and Marvel superheroes.
What you can see from the room is the garden of the hotel, but other locations are still under renovation!?
There are two small double beds in the standard room, which is designed for 2 large and 2 small guests.
So it's very spacious for two people. The bed is a bit firm for me, but I didn't wake up with back pain.
The design of the room is simple yet artistic, and water boilers, coffee, tea bags, etc. are all provided.
The shower supplies are all available, but it was a little hard to find the toothpaste and toothbrush, and I finally found them in the Mickey cup.
Among the three Hong Kong Disney hotels, except for the Explorer Hotel, which does not have a bathtub, this one does.
When booking, we included a buffet breakfast (7:30 - 11:00) at Yicai Kitchen. You don’t need to make a reservation, just line up. The restaurant has also been newly renovated, taking inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Therefore, in addition to the restaurant environment, the tableware and furnishings all look like a painter using tools.
The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of food, ranging from Japanese to Chinese and Western.
There is also a self-service salad bar, as well as cheese, fruits, etc., which are all healthy choices.
The cakes in the shapes of Winnie and Mickey are also very cute.
There are many choices of drinks, and I most recommend the Hong Kong-style milk tea, which is quite delicious.
Check-out time was at 11 o'clock. When I went to the lobby to return the room card, the staff said that the room card could be taken away directly.
Have stayed at 3 Disney hotels! Looking forward to staying at a Disney hotel in Japan in the future.

Booked the standard room and it was very clean. Free bath slippers were included which we all appreciated. Pool was large, garden area was well maintained and hotel lobby was also spotless. We also enjoyed all the Disney decor that was found all over the hotel and our room as we are truly Disney fans!

We decided to stay one night at Disney as we want to catch the Momentus show at 8.30pm and for convenience as we will be flying back the next day. We didn’t want to tire ourselves out. So we stayed this hotel as it’s the cheapest among the other hotels. When we arrived at the concierge, our bags were stored at their luggage area as our room was not ready, they also asked whether are there any fragile items, this shows professionalism. They also entertained my toddler and gave her stickers which she liked. At the lobby, the staff are really friendly. I like to compliment Evelyn as she really explained in detailed all the T&Cs and she is really pleasant. I felt really comfortable dealing with her. Our luggage will be sent to our room once it’s ready. There’s a shuttle bus to Disneyland. When we went back to our room, it was 9pm. Our luggages were all safely in the room. The room has 2 beds. There’s also a bathtub and it’s low, just nice for me to bath a toddler. Although the design of the room is a bit old but there’s no musky smell or stain. The next morning we went around the hotel and to our surprise, it’s really peaceful. The price is a bit expensive but for convenience it’s worth

The room was clean (dated though) and the staff were fine. However it was weird for a water dispenser in the room it was nice to have hot tea but it's not clear whether water was in fact refilled daily but I will take their word for it. The cute mickey slippers and toiletries were a nice touch. The reason why it was just ok was the lack of food options which surprised me given its a family oriented hotel (you would think given its for Disney?). There is just a bar and a buffet restaurant - nothing else for us if we have hungry kids. There is no mini bar even of child appropriate snacks. Also the shuttle service was good going to Disney but I'd you want to go to the other disney hotels (which has better food options for kids) you should just walk it because the shuttle will take u to Disney and you have to hop on another shuttle for the other hotels.

The only good thing I can say is that the people working there were helpful when asked. The rooms were mediocre at best, it is more convenient to get to Disneyland from anywhere else near the MRT. The shuttle buses were packed and leave you on the other side of the MRT station. You get no benefits for staying at the hotel (no discounts or early entry) and then you are stuck with the less than mediocre, overpriced buffet unless you catch the MRT and go to Hong Kong. I would never stay here again and it ruined my entire Hong Kong experience. If you don’t want to pay for the buffet you can have two minute noodles through room service at about $50 HKD. It is supposed to be a 4star hotel and it was 3 star at best. I requested an additional pillow, which was delivered and then a snarky remark was made 3 days later about me wanting more than 2 pillows for 2 people.. Stay in Soho and enjoy Hong Kong. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone.

For our very long trip to China that began in Hong Kong we decided to spend our first 4 nights at Disneyland Hong Kong and we chose Disney's Hollywood Hotel as our home. We were a little nervous about language barriers but things couldn't have been easier. From the airport we took a taxi and when we entered the lobby of the hotel it felt like home (with a twist). Staying at Disney's Hollywood Hotel made our transitions from America to Hong Kong seamless. We definitely knew we were in Hong Kong (the food, the cast members, seeing and hearing a different language) but it still had the familiar Disney-ness that we were used to. I'm so glad we decided to start our vacation here.
