I stayed for 14 days and picked this hotel because of its price and location. Good size room and friendly and helpful staff, but the room was very dated. Bathroom furniture especially is in need of replacement. Mold in the bathroom and dirty door tiles. Bed is hard and small. Due to COVID they only service the room once a week, so we had many dirty towels on the floor and accumulated big pile of trash in the room, which also add to the dirty feel of the room.

None of us could sleep. The twin bed is like 80cm and very very hard. Feel like you sleep on the floor. Tried to ask for extra pilows and shampoo but stuffs I met could not speak English. Not a single words.

Booked quarantine hotel for early Oct 2022. With government cancellation it is now over 60-days and still no refund. Have chased 3 times, officially they promised with 60 days which has now passed. Now they say will be done "soon" but no date given.

We had to book into this Best Western Hotel for HK mandatory quarantine as per HK Government requirements which we booked the 3 nights as required back in August. On 26 September 2022 the Hong Kong Government cancelled all quarantine hotel stays requirements. I have been chasing this hotel for my full refund since October and still no refund. The Front Office Manager does nothing to speed up the refund process and says nothing. I keep getting the emails saying these things take time but now almost 3 months on I have had enough. This hotel cannot be trusted as they refuse to refund my 3 nights accommodation with the excuse it takes time. How much time do they need? We live in a time when it has never been easier to process electronic sales and refunds but it appears this hotel still is using an abacas or pen & paper. Wake up Best Western Hotels and refund the thousands of people just like me who paid your company good money in good faith to provide a service and understand that hospitality has a meaning but it appears this hotel don't care about honouring their legal obligations. I await my refund which would have been useful during my recent stay in Hong Kong but with the hope I might get soon. Hopefully this review is posted to warn others of this hotel's failure to refund customers payments which were only cancelled by the Hong Kong Government and not us!…

Quarantine Stay: We book Family Room for 3. Excellent sea view room with free flow of standard amenities one would expect from **** star hotel. Checkin : Smooth. Room Size : Excellent with lot of storage. Cleanliness : Good . ( You will have to do cleaning by yourself ) Food : Most quarantine hotels source food from contractors . We ordered from Food Panda , Deliveroo. Room Delivery: Excellent. Within few minutes package was at our door step . View : we were offered sea-view family room on 27th floor . Hotel provided us with free flow of bottled water and amenities ( towels , toiletries and cleaning supplies ) Checkout : smooth .

The main issue I had with the quarantine room is the ridiculously slow wifi speed (20 kbps-80 kbps). Surfing the web is so painful. Virtually every website takes ages to load. Writing this review also took a long time because of the slow wifi speed. Besides that, the service was good and the room was clean.

There is no such thing as a fun quarantine, but Best Western Plus did their best to provide a clean room with good service. The food delivery was remarkably fast, check-in and check-out process was efficient, great food delivery options in SYP, the premium room was big, and the mini-fridge was adjustable and powerful. Garbage collection was good, there is a set timeframe for when to leave the (tied) garbage bags outside. I think its important to not miss this timeframe because the garbage production in quarantine is massive. Over-all good hotel to quarantine in. Two criticisms: 1: Sometimes the staff would knock very hard on the door for a delivery and it was startling. 2: A few of the food menu items freaked me out when I saw it, particularly the "Fried Fish with White Sauce" (people eat with their eyes, as well as their mouths).
