My husband found a great deal for staying at this Causeway Bay hotel, only a block from the Causeway Bay train station.
The hotel staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly, booking massages for us with a local salon, and advising on the best bus and train routes.
We guessed that the building must have been an apartment block some years ago from the layout of the rooms. The bedroom area was separated by a filmy curtain from the sitting area which backed on the kitchenette, itself backed onto by the bathroom. The wardrobe was larger than most hotels too.
We worried that it would be too noisy but the concierge was correct when he said the noise died down at 10pm in the area.
On our first night we were hungry and saw a Chinese restaurant over the road called Din Tai Fung which we'd never heard of. It turns out it was a Taiwanese worldwide chain which turned out absolutely delicious dishes .- and patrons - swiftly and efficiently.
In the lobby was the coffee/breakfast/snack area where you could help yourself to bottles of water, Jelly Belly beans, coffee during the day and beer and wine at happy hour.
The breakfast was perfect for a small hotel - pastries, bread for toast, coffee machine, juice, fresh fruit, cheese, and boiled eggs.
So we were so dismayed to discover that on the day we were checking out to go over to our next hotel in Kowloon for the next two days to vary it up, that was their last day of operation.
As a goodwill - and goodbye - gesture, the minibar was free for you to help yourself which was just incredible.
They also had one of the handy mobile phones which meant we could tether our Iphones to get free Wifi throughout our trip to the Hong Kong expo, and find our way around without racking up a huge roaming bill.
If it wasn't scheduled for demolition - no doubt to make an apartment building - we would stay there again.

A livingroom, dining, kitchen, bedroom and toilet and shower.
The price was very reasonable service was great. Breakfast was not a lot buy good!
I'm sure girls would like the design of their rooms.
Room door had to be locked/unlocked by a key.
Free use of washing machines (with detergent and aofteners) and dryers at the 2nd floor.
Great location!

This is not luxury - it’s trying to be one but only in first looks, not in quality or service.
Rooms are specious but with cheap tacky decorations. Think 2000’s style DIY dome deco and typical Asian style “handwork”, with spacfiller and dodgy paint job everywhere.

Poor workmanship and unfinished internals, with broken laminated chipboard cupboards doors, mouldy showers, cheap & nasty plastic kitchen utensils. Bed, ok but not lux either, just OK and closer to the hard side of things. Couches and chairs, here for looks, not for comfort, and are direct sans stained!

Rude miserable staff - 2 different people on front desk with horrible attitudes. Even asking for the WiFi password seemed like I was interrupting something way more important than anything else. No offer to help with my bags on 3 different occasions, although I arrived at midnight and it was quiet at the desk. Customer service is non-existent.

Breakfast, as others have said, was a strange setup. One long table in the foyer, only offering continental breakfast. The only hot things are toast and coffee, which you make yourself. Definitely underwhelming... a piece of toast and yoghurt, def not lux... luckily breakfast was included in my room rate because I’d be disappointed even more if I had to pay additional.

This hotel is about LOOKING like a boutique luxury hotel, not actually BEING a boutique luxury hotel. Doesn’t quite get there with the poor workmanship, subpar breakfast and rude staff.

If you want an apartment feel, stay at Eaton Residences. Not as “fancy” looking but same quality and nicer staff with a better price tag.
If you want a boutique luxury hotel for the same price, with quality rooms and nice staff, stay at Hotel Indigo in Wan Chai.

I had an amazing stay here in one of the suites, which is much bigger than an average apartment in Hong Kong with cool interior design! The suite was complete, with a full equipped kitchen.
A nice extra is that the hotel provides a handy smartphone device in the room that you can use during your stay as wifi hotspot and (local) calls.
It is centrally located in the buzzing Causeway Bay between lots of restaurants and stores/malls
I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a modern spacious place that is centrally located.
