This is a rather basic guesthouse but right in the center of Kowloon, with all you need in the room, very quiet no noise to hear, good airco and above all a very gentle and helpful man at the reception.
We enjoyed our stay.

I booked this place because of the reviews on booking.com, the cost, its location on Nathan road and apparent proximity to attractions. We paid about 315HKD per night, for 4 nights, spanning over a weekend.

The first time, we got a really tiny room with 2 beds (one was a double bed apparently). We could almost touch both walls once we spread our arms wide. We had a bit of trouble with our luggage (2 large suitcases, 2 cabin suitcases), as there was no place to put them. It was also not possible to place them under the beds.
We had to keep our luggage in the small walking space, so it was difficult getting into the room/ bathroom.
However, the bathroom was surprisingly big for the room, and had a shower cubicle. Fresh bed and bath linen were provided, along with toiletries. There was also a TV and an AC, along with an electric kettle and mugs.

We left for an overnight trip to Macau after 3 nights here, and left our luggage behind. They took very good care of our luggage.
After returning, for our last night here, we got lucky, and got a comparatively better room (still tiny). This had a bigger double bed, and we could keep our luggage at the foot of the bed, or in the passage. But the bathroom was very small, so the toilet would get wet if you decided to have a shower.

Doesn't matter. The rooms were cheap by HK standard, and sleep quality was very good.
There was a water dispenser at the reception, so we could fill our bottles whenever required. Coffee and tea was also available. Also, most tickets are available: Disneyland, transport, etc. We bought our Cotaijet Macau ferry tickets at a discounted price from here. A folder with details of all attractions is also available, with instructions in English and chinese. Also available, are flashlights, and luggage weighing possibilities.

Golden Crown Court is manned by security 24x7, and is not at all crowded like the nearby Mirador and Chun King Mansions. Very safe and pleasant.

*FACTS*
NAME: It was listed as Wai Fan Guest house on the website, with the reception in flat E. However, as of July 2016, this has (perhaps) been taken over by Golden Crown inn, so the reception has shifted a couple of doors (Flat F/ G).
TRANSPORT: To get here, we took the Airport bus no A21 from HKIA and got off at Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station/ Cameron Road. This is the 13th bus stop, and is displayed on screen inside the bus. We bought return A21 tickets from the airport, and this cost us 55HKD (one way 33HKD each)
After getting down, it is a short walk of 1-2 mins, and is located in the next block, right between Citibank and Standard Chartered, next to Bourjois. Taking the elevator to the 5th floor, there is a huge printout of the new reception to the left.
ADVANCE: We were asked for a Paypal deposit (of 1 night) in advance, to guarantee our stay.
OTHER: Cleaning lady does not understand English at all, but tries to improvise.

We had an great stay here at this guesthouse. The place is nice, free drinking water available, toiletries provided in the room and good for budget.
The lady staff is very friendly. The room and toilet is clean, beds are comfortable and they do housekeeping everyday.
Location is excellent, as it is near to Public transportation such as bus stop and MTR.
Will definitely comeback.

First of all, let me tell you that there are two Yiu Fai Guest House in Golden Crown Court, The Yiu Fai Guest House and The New Yiu Fai Guest House. They belong to different management, but under the same building. Okay, me and my family stayed in Yiu Fai Guest House, which belongs to the same management with Hao's Inn and Wai Fan Guest House. Before we arrived there, I had made some correspondences through e-mail with the manager, Raymond Tran. He was so responsive and understanding to our needs, such as a room with a window and other things which are really important to us.
We went to Tsim Sha Shui from Hong Kong International Airport by Airport Bus A21, we alighted in the 13th stops that shows K11 Mall in the running text inside the bus. The fare is HKD 33 for adult and HKD 16,7 for children (under 12 years old). We paid with Octopus Cards that we bought in the airport.
From that bus stop we walked only about 50-60 meters to the Golden Crown Court, the main gate is located just besides the Standard Chartered Bank. There are 2 lifts in the main entrance, the left lift is for the floors with odd numbers and the right lift is for the floors with even numbers. Stepped out from the lift in 5th floor, we didn't see the Yiu Fai Guest House directly, because it's located on the other side of the 5th floor. But it's not difficult to find it, you just need to go left and then you will find it at the end of the corridor. The manager gave us the first room next to the receptionist, it has windows and other stuff that exactly what we expected. The room is clean, and the amenities are quite complete for budget hotel. There are two mugs, a kettle, a TV and also a hairdryer in the room. They gave us new clean towels everyday and also new toothbrush. The room is not so vast, but there's enough space to put our two big luggage and 1 cabin-size luggage. There's hot water every time we took a bath, just don't forget to turn the heater on. They cleaned and tidy up our room every day, it's very nice to come back to the clean room every night after a long and tiring journey.
Because we got night flight from Hong Kong, they helped us to keep our luggage there while we went around the city after we checked out. Very kind of them. I definitely will come back to Yiu Fai Guest House!

stayed here in October 2016. I was bit sceptical after reading general reviews of various guest houses in Hong kong. But this proved to be good. The guest house room was clean, small without any view from window. But its value for money. The tea/coffee making facility, TV, sleepers, bathtowels etc. were available in room. The office/ reception is in next flat on the same floor. Incidentally, you will find different guest houses of similar name(not same) in the same building. Pl. check the address (door No.). It is located in busy neighbourhood with number of shops, restaurants etc. You may miss the entry to building so, look for Citi bank board. Famous Chungking mansion is 3 -4 blocks away and has number of Indian food outlets. Metro train Tsim sha tsui (D1 exit) is just 1 min. away.

Prior to travelling to HK I spent over 5 hours trawling through the internet trying to find a suitable place to stay on a low budget. I have stayed in HK before & I know how small some of the rooms are & how terrible the conditions can be. Wai Fan Guesthouse is great, fantastic location close to bus stops, mtr & Star Ferry. Rooms were a reasonable size with good air con & fairly clean, beds were comfortable. Lena was very helpful, especially as our group of 6 arrived a day earlier than our booking, they were able to get us into 2 rooms for the night which was amazing. Would definitely stay here again. Just note that Wai Fan is on the 5th floor so take the lift to the left as the one on the right only goes to floors with even numbers. They were also happy for us to store our luggage there until our flight left that night.

Guest house is located just few minutes away of the mrt station and many shop or mall nearby which just walking distance away.

Provided luggage storage for early check out. No worries on the foods , the cons are the room are quife run down , room design is old and only have 2 lift , one with access to odds number floor and another one for even number. With the room price , there nothing to shout about

I have reserved this hostel by email at its website, because some hostel at Golden Crown Court always booked so fast. Although i'm going by myself, i reserved for double bed. I pay deposit by Paypal & pay the rest after i'm arriving. No need to pay for key deposit, the room is really neat & still has some space for luggage, great bathroom with towel, toothbrush, & soap. The room had cleaned & towel had changed everyday. So far really satisfied with this hostel, really affordable price for the facility & close with MTR & shopping arcade such as K11 mall, Harbour City, 1881 Heritage, Silvercord, Hongkong China Ferry terminal, & etc.

Me and my partner stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights in Jan 2018. Room was quite small but we had everything we needed. Only thing I would say is the shower wasn’t the best as it was facing the toilet so not much room. The room was very clean and there was housekeeping daily.

Receptionist very helpful and we were able to leave our luggage here as we had a late flight and check out was 12pm.

It is in an excellent location and we walked pretty much everywhere we wanted to go. MTR is a 5 minute walk.

Very good for the price.

Hello, How do you go to the guest house from HK airpoort? Thank you.

Is there a curfew? Because I am planning on clubbing with my friends.
Answer from Elmo B
Manila, Philippines1,496 contribution294 helpful votes
No curfew 1. Main door facing the Nathat Road may look like closed, just push it open 2. Lift - Lift operates 24 hours daily - Next to it is the security guard's post. 3. Guests houses have distinct keys - Guest house door and your room. They will give you both keys. Be sure you got the right pair.
