Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin is often commended for its spotless environment and professional service, with many guests enjoying the hotel's proximity to Shek Mun station. While the rooms are recognized for their cleanliness and modern touch, a few guests find them to be on the smaller side and suggest some updates. The amenities, including dining options and transport services, add to the hotel's appeal, though some have noted the limitations in shuttle service and the pool not being open. Despite these mixed reviews, the hotel is generally considered a good value for its comfortable accommodations and reasonable rates.

I stayed at this hotel as a long term guest with my wife and daughter. We stayed for 5 months in an Executive Suite room from July-mid December.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel because of the staff who work there. We became friends with Dominic, Elaine, Louis, Canci,(cannot remember how to spell)and all those who work in the Executive Lounge. They looked after my wife and daughter and treated us like family.

Suki, who was the housekeeper for my room always made sure that we had plenty of water in the room everyday and kept the room spotless for us. Thank you, Suki.

Frank, and his team who work in the fitness centre was always there to welcome me with a big smile and a friendly greeting.

The front office staff always greeted us with a smile and always ready to help with luggage or laundry. Thanks to all of you.

The shuttle bus takes you to the centre of Kowloon in about 30 minutes. There are about 9 shuttle services a day starting from 0900.

The fitness centre is adequate with weights and cardio machines. The swimming pool is open from April or May until end of October and is a nice place to relax after a long day.

The Ambassadors who mingle with the guests., Tammy, Cora, Angelina, Agatha, do a wonderful job of socialising with Elite members in the lounge.

The Executive Suite is about 600 sf in size and has a living room and a large bathroom. Recommended for those who travel with a family.

As others have said, the area around the hotel is surrounded by factory buildings and traffic can be a nuisance with the big trucks blocking the entrance to the factory buildings.

The subway station is a 10 minute walk away, lots of restaurants, convenience store across the road and a Mcdonalds attached to the hotel. The Chinese restaurant is not operated by the hotel. The food is good and price is reasonable, especially for dim sum after 2:30pm on weekdays. They also offer a 10% discount for hotel inhouse guests.

Breakfast in the Momo cafe is excellent. There is something for everybody. It gets quite busy on weekends.

I will definitely return to this hotel whenever I am in HK. Not because it is the most luxurious hotel in HK, but because of the people who work there. I highly recommend this hotel for business and leisure travellers who want value for money.

For the second time, my 86-year-old mother and I stayed in Courtyard Hong Kong Sha Tin while I was participating in a conference in Prince of Wales Hospital. The hotel was still clean, with fast check in and check out. It felt empty, though. There were not too many guests because of the protests happening in Hong Kong, and the complimentary snacks and drinks in the Lobby Lounge were not offered anymore. Our room was a twin room which was spotless, with the basic amenities (coffee, tea, electric kettle, fridge and bottled water) and with neutral smell. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the wifi was functioning, and the bathroom had complete toiletries. In-room dining service was fast, and the food was prepared well. The breakfast spread in MoMo Cafe had lots of local/Chinese and continental food options.

We would still recommend this hotel to visitors staying in Sha Tin. It could be easily accessed by Uber and taxi. The location was good because a supermarket and pharmacy store were available in the hotel premises, and nearby were a convenience store (Circle K) and McDonalds. If one would walk a little further, more restaurants and grocery stores as well as the Shek Mun Subway Station of the MTR could be reached just a few blocks away.

We decided to try this hotel out in our recent trip to Hong Kong to visit families. We stayed here for five nights at a city view room on the 27th floor.

The hotel is relatively new. The bathroom is modern and fitted with marble vanity and rain shower. It provided us with bottled water which is handy to take out with you.

The room itself has two double beds. They are quite small for two adults to be honest. We would have loved to have a queen instead.

Service was really good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It has online check in which I did and it speeded up the in person check in process. You can also apply for mobile key card (using your phone to enter your room).

We didn’t opt for the breakfast because of its convenient location. It is 5 mins away from the Shek Mun MTR train station. Outside of this station, there are many good Chinese eateries and classic Hong Kong cafes. They provide breakfasts, lunches and dinners for the nearby residents. We have tried out a few and they are pretty reasonable and has good variety. That is a pretty attractive selling point for us. The fact that there are many bus routes nearby plus access to MTR, we can easily go anywhere.

The outdoor swimming pool was closed when we were staying, though there are a gym, sauna and steam room available.

I think the occupancy was low when we were there so it was pretty quiet.

All in all, it was a good stay and we will be back.

Day 12 of 14 days of a quarantine package. Found this hotel on the web and reviews good. A bit pricier than other hotels but so far worth it.
Housekeeping is wonderful and very quick. The way the guests are kept topped up with basics such as towels, toilet paper, water and amenities is second to none.
Many travelers are here during unprecedented times and for that reason I like that staff safety is paramount. Makes a mockery of where we live.

Previous to my stay, I had booked for a family member and formed a relationship with Noki, the account manager via email. Noki made sure the guest had a river view and tried to tailor to our needs. Unfortunately by the time I booked, Niki was no longer with the Marriott Shatin.

My room looked onto a Goodyear Garage! My account manager obviously didn't care so much that I would be here 14 days with no access outside.
For that I'll take off one star. She did her job and that's that...

Food is pricey. Personally a bit hit and miss.

However, I would recommend this hotel if you are quarantining.

I am a very fussy traveller and I have travelled a lot of places in Asia and Europe. I normally stayed in slightly higher than mid-range to five stars hotel and I am extremely hypercritical on the reviews I made. I spent 5 wonderful nights in Courtyard Marriot Shatin HK post pandemic and I have very little negative to comment. Room was upgraded to river view (fantastic views both day and night) and the amenities provided in the bathroom was of good quality and adequent supply. What I like most is probably the location. Quiet location with great jogging/walking tracks along the breathtaking Shing Mun River just across the road were so amazing. I had a great walk all the way to Tai Po and couldn't get enough of it. Courtyard Marriot is also very convenient from HKIA. A bus ride is just outside the airport and in just 3 stops, you will be at the hotel's door step. Plenty of eateries and shops and the MTR station (Shek Mun) is just a casual 8 min walk away. If only the hotel reception guys are more friendly and approaching, I think Courtyard Marriot Shatin is so underrated and needs to be placed as the frontier guys of a great hotel in the New Territories area. I will be back!

I arrived the hotel on 1 August for my 7-day quarantine in Hong Kong and booked a room for King bed with river view; also rented a exercise bike (HKD700 for 7 days) and bought a yoga mat from hotel (HKD100). The room condition is clean and good except that some furniture or wall looks a bit old. The river view with many trees downstairs looks nice.

The hotel prepared 12 bottles of 1.5L water, 3 rolls of toilet paper, 3 boxes of tissue paper, slippers, disinfectant, small bag of washing powder, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc.

Before arriving hotel, I have received Microsoft form from hotel to choose the meal for the coming 7 days. The food is not really good but comparatively, still acceptable... we will have one fruit every dinner and snacks for every meal.

We can also order Deliveroo or Foodpanda and hotel staff will deliver the stuff to your room (their delivery speed is super fast, within 5 minutes upon the Deliveroo / Foodpanda arrived).

Everyday we will put our garbage outside our room at 2:45pm and the staff will collect at around 3pm.

We just returned from Courtyard by Marriott Sha Tin for my birthday celebration. Loved this hotel so much! I am titanium elite member and we were upgraded to room with great view with bathtub. It was too much for us, but it definitely was lovely!

We were greeted by Mr Dennis Wong at the front desk with the welcome drink which was refreshing when we checked in. Everything is great, the room, dining, recreation, and service are top-notch. Every interaction with staff was flawlessly executed for a worry-free vacation.

Food at this hotel is delicious. We were given two buffet dinner included with HK$1 for both of us, it was fairly good when comparing with the price but surprisingly there were Apollo ice-cream and Movenpick ones to choose. There were so many options, both Asian and Western styles with chilled seafood and it was yummy!

Also I was given a fruit cake with red wine for my birthday at night. All made us a stay of relax and memorable.

Overall, staff, at front, at lounge, at Momo Cafe were veteran and friendly! Can’t wait to visit again.

This is the forth time to come here for staycation. Booked a Studio Suites with executive lounge access. This room has the best view even better than higher grade's executive suites.

Checked in at counter, however the staff ask to charge my kid 9 years old for breakfast. I am not sure for the child policy of this hotel, but this is the first time being asked. As I saw when I book, the studio suites included the access of executive lounge with complimentary benefit that included breakfast. Please clarify or mention that clearly in the apps or web if kid should paid extra for lounge access or breakfast. Or include the extra charges when book for 2 adults and a kid to prevent misunderstanding.

The room was clean and all pre-requested amenities prepared perfectly.

However, the club lounge at 30/F was closed. It relocated the lounge to lobby. The service definitely downgraded, no staff at the lounge area, totally self service. Needed to walk to counter and ask for a glass and ice! Only few soft drinks, coffee or tea and nothing. The washroom was closed at lobby floor.
The following special benefit mentioned in website disappeared.
Midday snack
Deserts
Mid night snack

The hors d' Oeuvres provided some bites, wines and self make cocktails. The food taste were fair. And the quality of wines were acceptable.
Breakfast serve in cafe was in standard quality with some A la carte order.

Beside, the staff at health center were friendly and nice, especially the Pool's safeguards were helpful.

We staycayed for two nights as fancied a break from downtown and had a great time. Staff were all delightful and very helpful, and the room was large and spotless with a supremely comfortable bed that afforded me some of the best sleeps I’ve had in recent months. Unfortunately (covid) some of the hotel facilities and dine-in options were restricted, but the room service dinner we had on our first night - as well as the breakfast both days - was very good. Recommend the burger! Sai Kung, for hikes, boats, and a meal at one of our fave spots, was only about a 20 min cab away. Overall, great value and a really positive stay thanks to the staff and comfort of the room!

I have been staying at Courtyard Shatin 3 times for 6 days in recent months. What I can say is considering the relatively low price of the hotel, the values that comes with it is super high. I have stayed at both river view rooms & the executive suite (thanks to hotel's generosity . Both room are amazing with abundant space. Nothing that you could be complaining at.

The staff is also the most valuable add-ons of the hotel. They are all very friendly and helpful, from front desk team to housekeeping team to Lounge team.

Being a platinum member, we are granted with access to the executive lounge. However, due to the COVID pandemic, the original lounge was closed and was moved to lobby lounge instead, which is bit disappointing as the views and the environment is totally different, but is still an understandable decision considering the environmental hardship. The only recommendation to the hotel is to consider to reopen the lounge during weekends to better accommodating gusts as it could be extremely crowded during weekends based on my experience.

But having said that, despite the peak hours at the lounge during busy time. The lounge staff still managed it very well and try their best to help guests and keep refilling the food even til the very last minutes. Thumbs up to the team.

We are also very much enjoyed the breakfast at MOMO cafe. There is actually quite an extensive choices of food considering the price of the hotel. Though the food would remain quite the same everyday, still it's quite tasty and satisfying.

Overall, I would say Courtyard Shatin is a smart choice for anyone who would like to have a budget but good quality staycation/holiday/escape.
