This hotel has an unbeatable location right next to The Peninsula Hotel. MTR and the ferries are walkable. The interiors are a bit dated but the rooms are spacious for Hong Kong and comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and polite. The views from the Harbor side rooms are stunning.

We had an amazing experience at the YMCA hotel on Salisbury Rd. We actually arrived late in the evening due to long lines at the luggage carousel at the airport. The staff were friendly even though we were late in checking in. They even upgraded our rooms to a suite and gave us a complimentary breakfast buffet and drinks for 1 day. The rooms were so clean and so was the bathroom. The room was spacious and had a great view of Victoria Harbour and the city. My child loved it so much, she didn't want to go home! Staff were easy to communicate with and whenever we requested something to the room, they obliged quickly. The location is also optimal since there is a nearby train station, a nearby mall, and nearby convenience stores around the area. The beds we got were huge and very comfortable. The bathroom we had included a bathtub and the soap/shampoo/gel dispenser was refilled daily. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here in the YMCA hotel. If given the chance to go back to Hong Kong, I will definitely check back in the YMCA hotel again.

For over the past 20 years when I visit Hong Kong I always stay at the Salisbury - YMCA. The Salisbury offers excellent value. Very clean. Centrally located with very polite and accommodating staff. The breakfast buffet is a must to start your day.

Fantastic hotel on the waterfront, right in the heart of the town. A real haven of peace amongst the busyness. Our room was upgraded to a suite for no reason, so that was great. It's best to book on their website as it's cheaper and you get some extras too!

Have stayed at The Salisbury a number of times - good location (close to TST MTR station and the Star Ferry) and rooms are a good size for Hong Kong. We were upgraded to a harbour view, which was great. Breakfast is good and a wide range to choose from. At the time we stayed, the rooms were only cleaned every 3 days. This is fine, but maybe every 2 days would be better, considering the cost.

Room Tip: Pool is open to the public, so gets busy - also you need to wear a swimming cap.

Ten of us stayed in 4 harbor view rooms and one harbor view suite for five days to celebrate my mother's 97th birthday. The hotel arranged for us to be on the same floor. The rooms were spotless, quiet (we were not) and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet offered choices for all tastes. Best of all is the location. We can find all kinds of restaurants, big and small, and shops galore. Of course, the view of the harbor is amazing. The hotel even cleaned all the windows in anticipation of fireworks display on October 1. In fact, I enjoy the stay so much that I booked a harbor view room just for that night to watch fireworks from the comfort of our room. It would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. This hotel is amazing!

The view from our bedroom was amazing. Large and very confortable room and bathroom. Very practicle: the laundry on the floor, easy to use. We liked also the flexibility with breakfast ( we had breakfast not included)

It’s absolutely ridiculous- despite leaving a clean my room sign someone came into the room replaced the towels but did not bother to clean the room when I called the reception I was told post Covid they don’t change the bedding which is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard considering they do everything else - sheer laziness and cost cutting. Also there was no water kept in my room. I’ve lived here before and promise never to live here again. It’s the worst service possible and they are not even apologetic about their carelessness

This is my first night at this hotel. I felt compelled to write a review because I find the hygiene standards sorely lacking. I found a stain on my bath towel, several strands of hair in the room (such as in between the towels and on the phone), and what looks suspiciously like dried nose snot on the spare pillow in the wardrobe. The hair dryer was missing the dryer portion. It was simply blowing out hair, not to mention a very weak gust of air and also lukewarm nearing cold. It does nothing to dry the hair. I asked for a hairdryer which thankfully they had. I also asked for a couple of towels since they only make up the room once every three days. The staff that delivered the items looked extremely disgruntled - she simply stuffed the items in my hands and walked away. It wouldn’t be a issue if I had not found more strands of hair on the towels she delivered. At that point, I just felt compelled to write this review. I’m still staying for 2 more nights but definitely wishing I had chosen another hotel.
